I downloaded Moviemaker today and I’ve been spending a good part of today trying to export my project correctly. Moviemaker crashed twice erasing my entire project which meant I had to start from scratch! I wanted to use a particular song so I added music from my dropbox which was fine and I made sure to remove the audio from the clips by turning the volume to zero but for some reason when I export the final video the sound from the clips are still there...why? And when I go back to edit to try to fix the video/audio now there is no sound is playing, neither sound from the music or sound from the clips and if I exit the project there’s no way for me to save it so I have to do everything all over again. This is so frustrating.

App works as described, but I paid for the pro version before I realized you can't trim the start of a clip, only the end. There's even an arrow at the beginning of the clip making you think you can trim the start, but it doesn't do anything. I'd look elsewhere before deciding to purchase.

Update: Thank you for responding. I can long press to turn the clip yellow at the top, but only the arrow at the end of the clip works to trim. The arrow at the beginning doesn't work when I press it and try to drag it back and forth. I've updated my review to 3 stars as that seems more fair, but it's a 5 star app if the trim function is working.

One major complaint I have is when you go into slideshow or collage if you go to press the camera icon to bring up the camera it doesn’t come up…I want to use Moviemaker and be able to use the filters and stuff but how can I do that if not all the functions work

I use Moviemaker on my iPad Pro. There were some bugs there, but developer contact me personally and we figured it out. Thank you! Moviemaker is priceless for your Instagram stories.

Can you possibly make it an option to save the horizontal videos as a whole before it gets sliced?

If not that, maybe having the option of letting the user be able to edit where in the video it gets sliced. I’m aware that it can be done before pulling a video into your app, just thought it could be helpful for people to skip that step🤙🏽

New to this.
As I’m writing this review, the typing I’m doing is not even showing. lol
Not sure what I’m typing correctly and what’s a complete mess.

Anyways, the trial period of not being able to use Moviemaker to its fullest is silly.

Moviemaker worked ok during the free trial, but not not even a week later, editing clips together is a nightmare. Music won’t import, clips keep playing even after I’ve edited them, and I have to start a project over when any of these glitches occur. Not happy at all.

Some great effects, let you know how it is when I upgrade.

The watermark is HUGE and it’s way to expensive. You can download iMovie or use. Computer for less money than this. It’s good for quick video fixes like adding a image if it’s not 15sec (IGTV) but other than that not the best thing ever especially for $8.99.

Every time I try to add sound it just crashes. I emailed the developer and my email was never returned. I had to wait 40 minutes on hold with Apple to get my money refunded. I wish Apple would stop supporting these old broken apps that no one cares to update.

Is it just for IG stories? Or does it work for posts on my page as well?

I downloaded the free app but quickly realized I wanted the pro version. I attempted to buy the pro version in-app (especially since there’s that rad sale going on), but it wouldn’t take me to any sort of payment page??? HELPPPPP!!! I’d love to buy pro version, but I literally can’t!

Seems like a great idea. Was excited to use. But app won't - despite me deleting/reloading three times - recognize photo library (yes, I gave permission). Hopefully this gets solved, as it seems pretty snazzy.

I got frustrated with Moviemaker on the first day of using it due to the slow loading of my video.

I was excited for this one. It seemed simple enough. But when it came time to save my video I got the dreaded spinning circle of death and it never saved. Ah well. Someone out there will do the same app but it will work. 🤷🏿‍♂️

And makes you have to start from the beginning of the project.

Just Bought pro version. It no longer works. I can't upload my own videos. app times out.

Loved the choices!

Can't do text in multiple lines. Can't multi-select videos or photos. Text get stuck unable to move and replace position. App crashes on latest IPhone. No thanks.

Is the $8.99 a monthly fee?

Total waste of money ! It won’t add sounds and has a lot of glitches and problems . You can get plenty free other apps that are better than this
