No worries!

After receiving this gift card and looking at all the poor reviews on here I was so upset! I thought well great an awesome idea but clearly poorly done. BUT it seems to me they’ve fixed whatever bugs were ruining this great idea. I got a $400 gift card downloaded OTCNetwork and it Have had NO issues whatsoever with it. Everything I’ve scanned and says is eligible is in fact eligible. I even scanned something outrageous to make sure it wasn’t just saying everything was eligible when in fact it wasn’t. I’ve so far bought NyQuil, kids vitamins, kids shampoo, my shampoo and conditioner, face wash, a bunch of acne medication to try, deli meat a huge 3 pack of toothpaste, etc, so much stuff! The card worked perfectly im so grateful I’ve had no issues.

Bug: Problem if more than one card added

It’s pretty fast and convenient to scan items, though if you have two cards, if often will not let you switch to the other. For example, I have two cards that cover two different kinds of items. If an item is ineligible on one card, I switch to the other to check there. I rescan the item, find the item is still ineligible, but it’s because OTCNetwork did not actually switch cards. If I keep reswitching and trying again, perhaps doing some different things to mix things up, after five or six tries it might eventually change. This is extremely frustrating and time consuming if you’re in a store. I hope they can fix this bug.

Lousy App

All the negative reviews about OTCNetwork in regards to its primary functionality are accurate. I’ve been using for over three weeks, its accuracy in determining what products the card will allow at checkout is probably 30%. I can’t believe this is such a lousy product with such a simple solution — all they need to do is connect OTCNetwork to the same database that the retail stores use, its not rocket science. Hurry up and fix this problem, it’s extremely annoying to stand in line to pay and the clerk at the register informs you that the item is not covered after OTCNetwork indicated it was. This is computing 101!

Very disappointed

I rarely leave reviews for apps, but this is seriously a joke. First of all, every time you open OTCNetwork , you have to enter your card number all over again. Why? How hard would it be for OTCNetwork to just save this data? It makes no sense. You have to solve a captcha every time you open OTCNetwork as well.
Secondly, barely any products are eligible. I’ve used the “scan barcode” feature in OTCNetwork , scanning product after product for about 15 minutes in Rite Aid, and every single one said, “Sorry, this product is not currently eligible.” There is such a tiny tiny amount of eligible products that it’s not even worth using.
Of course this is not mentioned when the card is being advertised. Very disappointed with both card and terribly developed app.

Super happy with the card’

It’s such a nice gesture to get money for stuff we are going to do anyways & be able to buy items we have to have regardless I don’t know what this woman above me is complaining about I love free money & your able to use the card for pretty much anything you would need in your home! Plus I heard they are changing it to where you will be able to use your card for bills and other things I am extremely grateful for the rewards program regardless!! Some people are so ungrateful!!! Thanks this app!! God bless!!

Eligibility Not!!!

Something really needs to be done about eligible items... You spend time in the store scanning items making sure they’re approved.. ONLY TO GET IN A LONG LINE TO FIND OUT THEY ARE NOT.. Not only is this very embarrassing, time consuming the stores also have no care in trying to rectify anything!!! It’s great to receive a free benefit but that does not mean it should not run properly... United Health Care Dual Complete and OTC Network really need to do something!!! This is not good for your handicap clients who deal with mobility issues!!!! CAN THEY UPGRADE THE CURRENT SYSTEM!! Get set items that do not change

No problems!!!

Read the reviews before I set up my cards and was expecting to have some problems with the items I needed to purchase. I had no problems setting it up or using it at the store. I have 2 cards and it was easy to access the second card just by swiping left. I was excited to receive this card since my husband and I have just retired and every little bit helps.

By

Nothing qualifies for this card

I have scanned items the letter said you can purchase. After scanning countless items saying ineligible ( food , vitamins, etc ). Even water ?????? Only one thing I found was hand sanitizer. They have to make improvements on this. Inconvenient in wasting to scan items that are ineligible and they should be eligible.

Super buggy

I tried to enter my card number multiple times. No Enter Card button appears after I type it in. Deleted and reloaded app twice. Still doesn't work. Sorting products is a nightmare. You gave to go to each store location and reinput everything. Nothing is cross referenced. Online shopping doesn't come close to carrying all the products. 3 strike outs out of 3 in trying to order the things I wanted for delivery. This otc benefit idea is great, but all the limits, changing product eligibility, and worthless app make it more trouble than it's worth. I'll need blood pressure meds after dealing with this!

Pleasant surprise

I was actually really worried when I saw these reviews. I received an otc gift card from my health insurance company and went to Walmart prepared for a headache. It was a pleasant surprise to see that pretty much everything I picked up was reported as eligible (household items, food, and health supplies) in OTCNetwork and then was successfully covered at checkout. You can double check eligibility on their website database.

Not really app review just a question

I have 6 on Medicaid, myself and 5 kids. Does the rewards load to one card or does each person get a separate card? I’ve gotten this before but never used it because I couldn’t figure the log in info. It’d always say wrong no matter what I typed. I just today got a text for my account, but not for my kids which I’ve done their wellness visits for 4 of them. Just trying to figure this all out. And so far app seems fine

Broken App

OTCNetwork is horrible. Why should I have to prove I’m not a robot every single time I open OTCNetwork ? This is not a computer. It’s a phone app. How many robots are using phone apps? I entered my card number. Then it said I had to pick a retailer before I could do anything else. But no retailers were listed. Just a blank page. Literally the only thing it would allow me to do was to go back to the page where I entered my card number. So OTCNetwork allows me to prove I’m not a robot, enter my number, and see a blank page that should show retailers. That’s it. That’s all OTCNetwork will do. Worst app I’ve ever downloaded.

Invasive. Demands access to Camera.

Offers an option to scan or enter upc but forces camera access whether you want it or not. Data collection is out of control. Please update OTCNetwork to allow those of us who don’t want to surrender every last shred of our privacy to keep you out of parts of our devices. Pretty soon I’ll have a smart phone that can’t do anything at all. When it does have access it will often report something is covered isn’t. And it sometimes gets the scan wrong.

Blessing

Very simple to use! Shopped at Walmart and most of our items were covered by this card. Simple ring everything up. Swipe card. Items that are covered are automatically applied to the card. And then you pay the remaining balance. What an unexpected blessing!

By

99% wrong

Every time I go to the store to use this card, most of what I scan shows the little green check mark, which I’ve assumed to mean the item is covered. Unfortunately when they ring up my items most of it is NOT covered. How embarrassing it is thinking you’ve done everything right but you end up standing there looking stupid and having to pay for the items yourself. I can pretty much just buy toothpaste. I get $50 a month (supposedly). I don’t need that much toothpaste. This is a joke.

By

Pointless

There’s really no reason to even have this card or app in the 1st place. Your balance will always say zero and the “special offers” never change. I don’t need or use 90% of what is offered. It’s a glorified coupon card pretty much that I’ve never used while being denied things I need by UHC crappy insurance. I need to go back to CareSource. Was just denied something to help with keeping weight on and can’t get a balance on the card to get it. But I can’t afford it so I guess I’m screwed since their greedy. Cutting my card up and deleting this pointless app.

Don’t rely on the scanner!

I was very excited to receive this incentive card. But OTCNetwork really makes it impossible for me to use ): I scanned baby items and most of them said they were eligible for purchase so I had ended up getting a bunch of things. However, as soon as it came to paying at the register they said that most of those items were not qualified.. I felt really bad especially since there was a line behind me & I had to leave things behind.. please update OTCNetwork so we could know which items are REALLY eligible.

By

Dissatisfied

I don not see why they care what brand toothpaste I use. They do not cover the brand I use. Same for my mouthwash. They only cover the small 4.5 oz. bottle not the quart size I buy. You pay more per oz. with the small bottle. Better yet why should they care what I buy. It is twenty dollars a month. What difference is it if I buy my brand or xyz brand, it is still twenty dollars per month. When I hit twenty dollars I’m done for the month. They are still paying twenty dollars. I am not asking for more than twenty dollars for my brand of items.

This card is a joke. Useless.

I’m not entering my credit card before seeing anything

This is really stupid. I like to at least be able to check something out before I buy it. How am I supposed to know what you’re going to do with it. Does it automatically take out $1000? I don’t know because there is no info on the opening page and nowhere else to click to find out. How many people actually jut give up their credit card not knowing what is going to happen after that? Idiots.

By

Worked perfectly, not sure why the complaints

These other raters must be doing it wrong. I just went to Walmart and got 360$ worth of food, vitamins, a $50 electric toothbrush, cases of drinks, the only things it didn’t cover were beer and dog treats. No weird issues at checkout, easy peasy.

Says information Failed

Every time I try to look at my balance on my card and I just got it today it says failed. I would really like these bugs to be figured out cause this is really hard on someone like me. I would ave liked to be able to do the things with my card that I am supposed to.

By

Does what its supposed to do!

Pretty self explanatory.
Allows you to scan items and tell you if there eligible or in eligible to purchase with your OTC card. So far I haven't had any problems which I was kind of worried about after reading these reviews but no bad news from me. Thanks for the great helpful app!

By

Major waste of time and energy.

If I could give negative stars I would.
Let’s just cut to the chase. The $100 added to your card monthly will NOT PAY THE FULL PRICE OF ANYTHING YOU NEED. At best you may save 25 cents to a dollar or so - IF you can find anything you need in the quite RANDOM selection of items eligible for “savings.”
The company gets to put out the appearance of generosity-which is somehow linked to Walmart as your ‘go to’ destination.
Good press for them. Little benefit to consumers.
Not worth the time it takes to install OTCNetwork .

Useful

OTCNetwork is very useful, along with the card & the list of approved items that were mailed out to me. I don’t understand how grown adults are picky over something that is given to them. I look at this as a gift, I didn’t have to receive it 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I did, so I’m grateful 🤗

By

Lots of glitches

I have works as far as giving you your balance. It also works when selecting certain stores and scanning products to see if they’re eligible for purchase. But after making purchases the balance doesn’t update and has trouble doing so even after refreshing OTCNetwork or restarting it.

By

Often doesn’t work

At least in San Diego...
Some stores (Walgreens) U can’t scan & others (CVS) U can scan but when U go to checkout some items are not accepted - it works intermittently....a major hassle.
I decided this month to buy on-line thru NationsOTC which (eventually) worked (better to use a computer rather than a cell phone as many screens are extra wide).
I’ve been waiting 2 weeks to receive my order & so far no sign of it arriving.....🙄

The Healthy Benefits card seems like a scam or is very poorly run. The card is only accepted at about 5 stores, and right now it doesn't work at three of them. Customer service says there is a network problem. I have benefits on the card that I can't use that will expire end of the month. They say the card is accepted at Rite Aid and Dollar General - those are not proper grocery stores. How much fresh produce do they have? None! And those stores are not convenient to me.

I have NO money on my card as of January 3, 2023. What's going on???? This is outrageous and ridiculous.

Uninstalled the app twice reinstalled and it still won't work

Nina Corbett   1 year ago

All supposedly eligible items are rejected. If scanning is bypassed, the card still will not pay for the items. Help Desk send a 2nd card which of course does not help - the problem is the app!

Gina   2 years ago

It all scanned not accepted but 1 thing . It was unaccepted at the register . Trued to chat with someone /they wanted a dollar to start ( Somalia) . It’s coded bad Patrick and SpongeBob were bad programmers. I’m going to the hmo and ask why did this happen

Linda Sabo   2 years ago

Used the card last month with ease. This month, we’ve tried 3 stores and can’t get any items to load even if it says they’re eligible. Frustrating. This is the case for both my card and my husband’s as well as another guy at the grocery store.

What a useless POS. Activated card, spoke to representative on the phone. The card would never work, and it expires today. What a joke, it expired before I received it.

Susan   2 years ago

Same thing everyone else is experiencing! None of the products show to be eligible when you scan them. The savings they offer isn't even worth it when the products they list are of an amount or price that it's cheaper to just go to the dollar general and get something else. And trying to order from their HUGE book of OTC products they're supposed to pay for it a joke! I keep getting an error code that my order cannot be place because of a problem, to call a certain number. Then when I log into my account online, it's showing the order was placed and they funds were used! But their email address doesn't work either; got a failure notice that it didn't exist!! Utterly ridiculous and useless! I'm contacting my provider and telling them I don't want it!

Tried to scan various items at CVS and all were ineligible even though the items were on the elegible listing. What is wrong?

Nina Corbett   3 years ago

Last year I had absolutely no problems using my card. I always scanned the UPC to make sure my items were eligible. Worked great. This year, I scanned a store brand can of tomatoes. Ineligible. Then I tried a produce item. Ineligible. Then I started scanning random items I thought were acceptable. All ineligible. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Helen G   3 years ago

Two drugs store cvs and rite aid, one a day vitamins for men and women, both scan eligible, but when cashing out all not eligible. Had to leave empty handed, had no money to pay. Manager said many people are finding this happens.

Sharon Skalitzky   3 years ago

I called and had to go through over 6 demands for products and because I did not listen to products was told to hang up
