- Allows users to see 5 days worth of progress on all habits on the main screen
- Monthly and annual progress tracking helps motivate users to keep up with habits
- Simple and intuitive nature of the app
- Ability to cross off foods eaten and exercises done
- Quick and easy to add a habit
I’ve used Habitty for a few years now and loved the simplicity of it. However I have noticed Habitty acting up more recently (notifications at the wrong time, 5 notifications at once, clears data on the main screen, etc). Since Habitty hasn’t been updated in 5 years, I doubt these issues will be resolved anytime soon.
Simple, quick not complicated to add a habit, etc...I like Habitty for the most part. A few more features would definitely rank it higher and be something I would highly recommend and use... like creating a daily view, weekly view, monthly view, etc. so you can not have so many habits on one view. Date display options. When adding a habit have the option to have it be an AM or PM Habit and populate the list by AM, PM, Daily, other, etc
With this being said, I search for apps a lot and so far I’ve like this one more than others.
Overall like Habitty, but this feature has been driving me nuts! please update! I have a couple habits I created to test things out, after deleting them the daily push notifications pop up even after deleting that particular habit.
Love the design and simplicity but sometimes you need to track a habit multiple times throughout a day. Habitty only allows you to check off on a habit once per day, max. Great for some habits that only occur once a day but is really limiting.
I like Habitty a lot, but I travel a lot and every time I fly when I turn my phone back to normal from airplane mode it erases all my check marks but not the progress so if I re-check the activities it changes the progress metrics. Hopefully an easy bug fix.
When I get notification for a habit - it comes in 4 times
I really like how easy & visual it is. I love that you can choose different color fonts, so you can have color categories. I just wish the days would stay in order.
I just downloaded Habitty and it’s exactly what I want for a habit tracker, simple and easy to use and see my progress. The habits I’m trying to develop though are not m-f they are a full week, I wish this included all 7 days for a full week of tracking. Maybe I set it up incorrectly.
I love Habitty for helping me set my habits and keep track of completing them. It’s super simple to use.
The only issue/feedback I have is that the 5 day information seems to erase when you change time zones (when traveling) and the check marks for the 5 days can easily be added or removed by accidentally tapping the screen. I would love if there was a way to potentially “lock-in” the check marks each day so you don’t accidentally add or remove the them.
I love Habitty ! It’s amazing! I think it’s one of the best ones on Habitty Store for tracking habits for free. There is only just one thing that I would improve. Please add a method where you can track habits across platforms. I use my phone and iPad to track habits but they are both not connected so it makes it a tiny bit harder to track my habits. It would really help if there was an account system or something to do with iCloud. Thanks.
For how my brain is wired this basic app seems to create the Pavlovian motivation to build good habits. If the Devs added the ability to export or sync with Apple, Google and Microsoft apps I'd give this 5 stars instead of 4
I just started using Habitty and the use of 5 days in the wrong order is really off-putting. It would be infinitely better to have all 7 days and in order so I can see the week’s progress. I do not understand the 5-day week that shifts depending on what day it is. Make it start on Sunday or Monday and not move days. Also, a check mark instead of an X would feel more like you completed it, and like someone else said, a short phone vibration when you tap to check it off would feel more official and rewarding. Just some suggestions but very much recommended for better user interaction.
It usually works great, but as of late, my check marks are disappearing and it will reset my progress when I close Habitty and remove from multitasking. Unfortunately that makes Habitty kind of useless. I hope this is fixed soon.
Nice, easy to use app. But the problem is that it doesn’t save your data well! I can’t see progress from the previous days. Sorry to complain here, but I could not find a comment section anywhere. Please fix and I will asap update this review!
Helps me keep track of my habits. There’s still room for improvement if the developer feels like working on it (last update +1 year ago). But it does what it promises.
Habitty is exactly what I was looking for — didn't need a lot of complicated functionality or customizability.
Just something I could figure out and set up in 5 minutes and start using.
One suggestion for improvement: I would make the order of days from right to left.
I too rarely write reviews, but this offer is so good that it made me want to do it myself!
The only wish: Habitty lacks a widget
Whilst this might not have all the bells and whistles of other tracker apps, it’s Simple and easy to use. No restriction on the number of habits that can be tracked for free.. can you introduce a date for when the habit starts so at least it doesn’t take into account other days.
I really like using Habitty to track my habits. I can have several habits listed and I’m not charged for premium on any of it. Simple layout and gives good data/feedback on your progress. It can give notifications, but my only complaint is that some times it will give a double notification for the same habit (as in, it will alert my twice within seconds to got to bed early).
Nonetheless, I will take Habitty over any of the popular ones. Can’t wait to see any new features added or improved.
I mean this is exactly as it says. A simple habit tracker but it doesn’t have extra features of things you might want like maybe for water goals of dinking x amount or reading habits of x number of mins. I’m not disappointed by it and think this is great for people that just need a regular to do checklist. From what I can tell there are no limitations on Habitty for the number of habits you want to track so you can definitely double up on them but I don’t really like that set up for me personally. It also doesn’t have a multi alarm set up so like I said the simplest tracker for those that have a regular daily one off list.
It’s a simple little habit tracker that shows a few days of progress at a time and sends you reminders when you ask for them. Very intuitive design, quite easy to use. And it’s totally free, no paywalls.
I am a little confused by the repetitive reminder notifications, and I noticed that if you change time zones Habitty seems to forget the past few days?? But it’s not enough of a distraction to actually bother me, so yeah.
I like that Habitty allows me to see 5 days worth of progress on all habits on the main screen. Tapping on each habit shows monthly and annual progress, which helps motivate one to keep up with the habit. Overall, I love the simplicity and intuitive nature of Habitty . In terms of aesthetics, a 7-day streak on the main screen (instead of 5 days) would be ideal. Also, checkmarks are good, but filled in bubbles with sound effects would be better and more rewarding. Likewise, on the monthly/yearly view, filled in bubbles (instead of open circles) would be more aesthetically pleasing. Other than these minor personal preferences, Habitty is far better than most habit tracking apps for its simplicity and intuitive interface.
I have tried a few and for me this is the best free habit tracker. Many free ones limit you to 3-5 habits, but I don’t think there is a limit on this one (I have 16). I love that I can select the color as I have categories of habits (health, mind, cleaning, work). I’ve also added the widget so I can check the boxes for the day without having to open the full app. It’s very satisfying to check the boxes and watch my habit “rings” fill in as I do them more consistently. I can also see the ones that I most commonly miss. For those, I have used the feature to add a reminder at a certain time. Overall, I really enjoy Habitty and use it daily.
Me and my friends use this to stay on track for school I love it it helps a lot
I put some goals and habits and now i can never forget to do something that i need to do.
I’ve downloaded a whole bunch of “habit” and “todo” apps, and this is the only one that comes close to what I want.
The only thing is that I want the ability to create multiple habit lists:
One for eating habits
One for exercise habits
One for other habits
So please modify Habitty to allow that.
Otherwise it’s perfect.
I was searching for an app that lists all the foods I can eat each day and all the exercises I can do.
Then each day I cross off whatever foods I’ve eaten or exercises I’ve done. And other habits as well.
Then at the end of the week I can see which exercises I’ve done and which foods I’ve eaten.
I like that these habits stay in the same place after I check them off. Lots of apps don’t do that… they either remove from the list or go to the bottom.
Please make this one change to Habitty allowing multiple habit lists, and then it will really be perfect!
Also Habitty is free! Which is great.
A lot of them have monthly subscription. I would be willing to pay $20 for Habitty but I don’t like monthly fees.
Just by using this one app it helped so much, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. It’s one small thing that changes EVERYTHING!!
This is a fantastic app for someone who is not very committed to progressing with activities that are good for them but do want to improve. Habitty helps me keep track of what I am doing and is a great help in my studies exercise and chores.
I rarely rate apps... but when you see that every tracking app cost money for every little useful feature you get fed up. I just had to rate Habitty! It’s awesome! This one does exactly what I want AND it has the simple features I need.
Nothing wrong with this clean and simple app. Love it for that reason alone. The data visualization isn’t too in my face and the UI is snappy. Besides dark mode, i’d like more colors. I’ve tried over 10 habit trackers for iOS, this one’s stuck around the longest.
All I needed was a simple list of daily habits I want to accomplish like working out or walking the dog and show what I got done in the last week. Habitty does exactly that with no flash no subscriptions just a simple app. That’s developer
One of the most convenient apps out there to use in order to track habits! Looks minimalistic and simple, but gives a lot of information at once.
One thing I'm having problems with is the repeated notifications. I received 3 or 4 of the same notifications asking me if i did that habit. So i had to turn off notifications completely. Please squash that bug.
I like it for its simplicity, however Screen time will show around seventy notifications slightly more or less for the week and that was with only two habits listed. More than twice the notifications for my meds app. At two a day it should be around 14 a week max. Maybe twice that if I have a habit of not responding on the first notification. However, click on one and they all go away. If someone is paying attention seventy notifications showing up on screen time must be impressive. 🌞
It’s one of the best apps in the habit-tracking category and I’m using it for years.
I wish it could have had a few improvements though. Here are a few suggestions:
1) The ability to export the data on Excel or any other usable format
2) More color variation
3) Better chart calculation. The chart system doesn’t make any sense at the moment.
4) The ability to bulk insert/ delete a habit in the calendar
5) Adding milestone/ trophy system for each habit
I’m even willing to pay for any of these features if implemented. I would also be available to help the dev implement them in order to make Habitty even better than what it is.
Thanks for the great app!
