So far, so great!

Today is my first day exploring BookOrganizer. A friend made me aware of apps that help me organize my massive book collection so I never buy another copy of something again when I go out shopping!

I did some searching, thought I had found a good one, but was disappointed at a few things. Did some more searching, and came across BookOrganizer. A $10 yearly subscription is definitely worth it as far as I can tell! Still getting acquainted with how BookOrganizer works, but being able to continuously add books via continuous ISBN scanning is FABULOUS! So much easier than some other apps.

Can’t wait to see what other great things I can accomplish with my incredible book collection with BookOrganizer!

Good app, needs work

I have had BookOrganizer for almost a year.
Pro’s: it is easy to search a book in my collection so I don’t purchase a book I already own! It is very easy to scan books into your collection.

Cons: font in BookOrganizer is very small. Also, once I read a book, I typically gift or donate it and their isn’t a way, that I can find, to delete a book from my collection.

Overall I am happy with BookOrganizer and the cost is very minimal to have access to all the features.

Possibly inflated reviews

I downloaded BookOrganizer to scan and create an inventory of my classroom books. It did okay scanning them. I had to upgrade to a trial 1 month subscription in order to enter more books and it crashed after I entered 50 or so. I had to restart my phone since restarting BookOrganizer would not work. Once I entered all the books, I was disappointed with what I could do with the data. There was no way to track if Ioaned them out or anyway to create a useful, printable list of the books. When playing around with the settings, it offered to “unlock” different custom colors in exchange for a 5 star app review. Makes me wonder if the 4+ average reviews are inflated due to those who wanted custom colors. I found a better site to use for free in my computer so I would suggest looking elsewhere before spending $9.99 per month.

Oh Yes!!!! Finally a Book App that does exactly what I need!

Current review:

Being a woman of a certain age I am in the process of downsizing my Books. I wanted to make a list of the books I gave away to my local Library and charities. I went in search and found this wonderful App!!! ( Upgrade is well worth it!)
Love these features
1. The continuous scanner is wonderful. Yesterday I scanned 57 books in a relatively short period of time.
2. The stacks
3. The ability to have more than one Collection.
4 The ability to export data so I could print a hard copy if I wanted to. (That was my fear that I could lose data should phone crash)

Kudos to developers who replied quickly to my previous review that follows:

Just downloaded and like it a lot so far. I am thinking of upgrading but I need to be assured of a few things. I could not find a “ contact developer” any where in App or here to ask these questions. Hence I am writing a review. Please I just need a few questions answered how do I contact you?

I need help.

I need a way to contact the developer as I purchased BookOrganizer, and it crashes every time now when I try to open it on either my phone or my iPad. I tried to contact you from this page (on BookOrganizer Store) both through BookOrganizer Support and the Developer Website links. Both told me to sign in to Facebook and when I did it told me that the content was not available. Are you even a company anymore? Will you continue to take my money each year and provide no content knowing that it is impossible to contact you? Please give me a way to contact you.

Like it but I’ve found better

I like several aspects of BookOrganizer, including being able to divide your books into stacks (including putting one book in multiple stacks). Unfortunately, I feel like there’s too little given for a free trial. Three stacks, that’s fine, but only 9 books are available. To be fair, you can watch ads to allow more books, but each ad only gives you one additional book. If I had that few books, I wouldn’t need BookOrganizer.

Wishlist

I don’t use the wishlist feature, but it is a required line item at the top of the list. Now there are two Wishlist line items, the second which causes BookOrganizer to crash if clicked. Can that glitch be fixed, and can the Wishlist be an optional feature that can be hidden in the settings? Thanks for a great app.

First day

So far I am liking BookOrganizer , today is the first day I have used and would need more time to say anything more.

After using BookOrganizer for a couple of days I am really enjoying how it is keeping everything together. The only down fall I have it that I used the free version and I have watched several ads while using BookOrganizer .

Doesn’t work for me

I have an iPhone XR and BookOrganizer will not work for me. The book icons are much to small to see; there isn’t an option to upload your own photo of a book cover, much less search for it online. I can not see what options there are, but I am able to choose a toggle switch. I hope the developers will give me my money back. I tried deleting it from my App purchases, and I assume that it isn’t going to show until the 3 day free trial period has passed. I’m not at all happy with BookOrganizer.

Crashes

I initially liked BookOrganizer. I was disappointed in the lack of database features; author visibility & search, etc. but still thought it was worth the annual price for the ‘full-featured’ version. A few troubles scanning ISBN with my iPad, but the iPhone handled it well. That was last week. Today, no matter which device I attempt, after 2 to 2.5 seconds BookOrganizer shuts down. I would sure like to see someone fix it - 1. Make it operational (stay open, darn it), 2. Improve the database functionality.

Free version is worthless

I don’t mind upgrading, but I physically cannot. All purchase options are grayed out. Also, based on the reviews, the free version doesn’t really allow for enough interaction to justify a purchase. I’m giving 2 stars out of sheer hope that my review is seen and I’m able to purchase and actually form an opinion of BookOrganizer . So far, it looks like everything I’ve been looking for, so please fix 😭

No Customer Support

I purchased BookOrganizer in 2018. I just purchased a new phone and I tried to log back into BookOrganizer and it won’t let me. I have well over 1000 books logged and now that info is lost 😡. I have tried to contact the developer and have had no luck finding a reliable contact information. Update response to developers: What does your response Sun mean? I purchased BookOrganizer so why is my data missin? Why do I not have access to the full app that I paid for?

Good but could be better

So I’m liking BookOrganizer , but it could use some other features. I added a ton of books to the stack and I’d like to see a move or cut and paste feature so I don’t have to renter each title elsewhere. Also showing the titles or authors in the stack area would be great. I hate having to go into each book info to get those. Importing books from Audible would be superb too!

Ok

I have iPhone X and it is not working I cannot import any data and icons are small and not clear. I wish along with just lists I could scan the books , so it would be the books and just not small pictures, it would be great to keep books on BookOrganizer not just books , the idea is good though.

Total Waste of Time

I’m deleting BookOrganizer as soon as I can. BookOrganizer locked up after loading only 14 books, on the refresh screen that was trying to sell me the “fancy” version; that I didn’t want or need and had already turned down. The only way to get it to stop is by turning the phone completely off and then restarting it. If I could get a iOS version of Handy Library I would download it in a heartbeat.

It’s Ok

I just downloaded BookOrganizer, it’s okay… the one thing I don’t understand is I attempted to add books to my “Own” list but when I searched them, they didn’t automatically go into the own section even though that’s where I started. Also, it may not have all books in the search.

Good app to reference

I'm using it to make sure I don't accidentally buy books I already have and to keep track of things I loan to friends. Way easier than the notes app, it's nice to use the scanner to log books

Incredibly Disappointed

After reading about BookOrganizer in your description I was so excited to download BookOrganizer and couldn’t wait to use it. What a let down though. I haven’t even been able to sign-up with Facebook or via email because BookOrganizer keeps crashing every time I try. I’m removing it from my phone ave will search for something else. I should have read all of the reviews before downloading it to begin with.

Great!

Love it! I never can remember what books I have and what I don’t have when I’m at the book store!

Zero Help

I like the concept of this book organizer and have had it for quite some time, but if you run into a problem no one will assist you, no matter how you try to contact them. I paid for the life time usage, so am very disappointed that no one help with my problem.

Great app, then ALL book information disappeared!

We entered about 350 books before the holiday season. Everything was lovely. But now, when I log in, all the covers of the books are in the library - with NO information. No titles, no authors, nothing. Just a picture of the book covers.
Now, we are searching for a new app to start over. And I’ll be seeking to get my money back.

App keeps crashing

Every time I try and open BookOrganizer it immediately crashes and closes out. I then tried to contact App Support but all it does is lead to a broken link.
**will update review/score once they are able to fix this issue

Limited space

I hate how there is a limited amount of space before they have you pay to scan more books in. I was only able to scan 15 of my books before I couldn’t scan anymore.

Paid $40 and doesn’t work

I had the downloaded free version, liked it enough to buy it. I paid the $40 and instead of being able to add more books it keeps asking if I want to upgrade. I have logged off and logged back on. I have even emailed twice and have not heard anything back.
