SCAM.

2022-05-23

After thorough review, it has been made clear that although this company originally intended to connect jobseekers with job providers, and they continuously suggest “top scorers ‘may’ be contacted by recruiters” this is categorically untrue. After speaking with the company on the phone it was explained that this is no longer true. As a top 1%er across the board: The games do not, in any way, give you the opportunity to get noticed professionally. This is a normal job hunting app, with games, and very few jobs. Unless your degree in data science or machine learning can apply to the warehouse and janitorial positions listed, you are better off calling a lawyer to file for damages related to false advertising as a means of income than trying to find a job through this fake app. Call me any time and dispute it this app. Any time.

Ableist piece of fecal matter

2022-06-24

I’m not convinced that relying on these scores, or anything else from this company, isn’t an ADA lawsuit waiting to happen. These are precisely the sort of tests that the FAILURE of which are used to diagnose autism! You’re literally excluding perfectly high-functioning adults with this. Oh, and anyone with eyesight problems, any kind of color-blindness, face-blindness, dyslexia.

Heck, if you’re not 100% neurotypical with 20/20 vision, DO NOT BOTHER!!! This is an EXTREMELY unfriendly app for disabled adults. I pray that no one’s seriously making hiring decisions with this company’s app, because both parties deserve to be sued into the ground in that case!

Right after I hit Advanced Level, It crashed

2022-07-25

Downloaded this last night. It’s been less than 24 hours. I reached the advanced level, and right after that it gave me an error message saying “Your session has expired.” Now every time I try to re-open JobFlare and log in, as soon as I put my email and password in, the screen goes black and it closes out.

After numerous attempts, it let me log back in, but it didn’t save the last hour of work.. so it reverted back to a non-advanced status. All that work for nothing. :(

Waste of time

2022-08-26

JobFlare thinks it can rate your potential using extremely basic math, word and visuals that my 6 year old niece was able to score in the top 25% using. If you are a human plebe, this might make you feel good about yourself, but if your a serious applicant and actually want metrics that real employers can use, i would suggest you stick to the tests the employers create, or honest to god schooling or even perhaps a certification program. JobFlare is just a joke.

No job opportunity’s

2022-09-27

I downloaded JobFlare among many others. I found that the concept was interesting and wanted to check it out, while it was all “fun & games” it doesn’t show any opportunity’s in my area. My guess is it may not be well known enough or employers don’t find it useful. I’d love to give this a higher rating but sadly it’s just not as beneficial as other job apps.

Not really going to get you a job

2022-10-28

I've been looking for a new job, and when I found out about JobFlare, I decided to give it a whirl. I reached expert level within a couple of days, and soon received an email from a this app recruiter. He wanted to know what kind of work I was looking for, and asked for my resume, LinkedIn, and location. I provided all the info, and got a reply saying I would be receiving custom job postings from him within a week. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing. When I followed up through email, I received no response. I've worked with bad recruiters in the past, but I'm still a little upset this didn't turn out any potential opportunities.

Have fun with the games, but don't expect any real results.

Mis-represented for CCAT Testing

2022-11-29

Tho a fun app, I am not sure why Criteria Corp lists JobFlare on their website as a test preparation app for CCAT? I’ll give it 2 stars for not being DIRECTLY useful for CCAT preparation. The only thing this has in common is it helps get the brain thinking and training for rapid fire decision making. Though, It lacks the more in-depth questions one would see on Criteria Corps Cognitive Aptitude Testing. I would like to see more abstract questions that one would see on the CCAT. Again, fun app, had it not been mis-represented for CCAT preparation, I would have ranked it much higher.

Good for CCAT test prep but buggy...

2022-12-30

I don’t see this panning out for anything other than CCAT test prep that some employers require. App is buggy, randomly shuts down, screens are blank and long load time. Could be good though to also keep your mind busy (once they update for bugs)

Full of potential

2023-01-31

I just got JobFlare today, played my way through each game once and the looked for a way to add my resume. I couldn’t find it or anywhere that would allow me to customize my job search based off experience and education. The site recommended about 5 or 6 jobs that all required more education or experience than I currently have. Being able to use a combination of the scores from the games and real world experience would provide more accurate results. It also would be nice to have a job search portion where I can type in various titles and pay ranges to help me find my next job.

It’s Okay, But Not Immersive

2023-03-04

It’s a fun app. Very creative on how you can expand your skills to achieve opportunities for a job, but there’s only six games. You constantly play just those six games. They’re great games, but eventually you’ll tire out. Like playing Monopoly. At some point, you’ll get tired of playing the same game over and over and over again. It’ll be fun at first, but you can’t keep playing the same thing forever.

Job coach disappointing

2023-04-02

Fun games that tested my reflexes and competitive spirit. However, the point system slows to a halt even when my scores improve or consistently achieve 1000. And, my job coach has disappeared from a simple resume editing request. Also, only two companies listed jobs in my area on JobFlare. So, I’ve deleted JobFlare as a waste of time and hope.

Educational

2023-05-04

this app is a great app. However, there is no way to delete or deactivate your account in the settings of JobFlare . This make me uncomfortable as I like to feel secure my information is no longer being used when I’m inactive. Highly recommend to add!

Brain Power

2023-06-04

I was told to download JobFlare by a company I was applying to. I use JobFlare now just in my spare time because it’s really encouraging to increase your cognitive skills and it’s also just fun to play.

Love this app!

2023-07-06

I was introduced to JobFlare through a potential employer who suggested that I use it to prepare for cognitive testing. The games are fun and challenging, and I can’t wait to explore the job search side of JobFlare, since I am currently searching for work. Some words of advice: don’t let your kids play with JobFlare ! My daughter took my personality quiz, and Meg and her team had to fix my profile for me. They were amazing! Meg was very responsive to my email and worked with me diligently to get the issue fixed. Download JobFlare! It’s a good one!

We shall see

2023-08-06

I went a long period of time without playing with JobFlare. It looks like they have made some good changes. Especially the incentives to get to higher rankings. When I first started playing I was skeptical because I had no secondary education or experience in the fields I was interested in, but now I have a technical trade and said experience. I have been playing again for less than an hour and I’m almost to expert level where they promise to give you one-on-one time with top talent scouts. If they hold true to that promise then JobFlare will be worth every penny that I didn’t pay, but you get my drift.

Great for mental acuity

2023-09-07

I always thought I had an eye for the little things others miss. I’m actually considered super detail oriented at work. However, the games on JobFlare have proved there’s definitely room for improvement.

Excellent!!

2023-10-09

this app leverages state-of-the-art cognitive games to qualify job seekers’ abilities to make effective decisions, solve problems, and learn quickly.

Recruiters and hiring managers know that when a candidate scores highly on this app, they’re bright and capable of being a strong performer on the job.

I wish something like this had existed when I was an early career job candidate!

Amazing App.

2023-11-09

Reached the expert rank in less a day. The games are a ton of fun. Not too hard but by no means easy. It’s exciting to see your rank keep going up as you start doing better and better.

I still haven’t received any job offers but I hope to see them soon. I also hope I get the chance to work with one of their scouts since I hit expert tier.

Overall it’s a great app and if it actually helps me land a job then it’s definitely the best app there is!

There is a bug in Infruition

2023-12-11

UPDATE: The company contacted me one day later, asked for video, then let me know they duplicated the problem and were uploading a fixed version. All wishing 48 hours. Great job!

—-
I recently go JobFlare upon a recommendation of some fun puzzles. Using it I had to agree it was a nice time waster - job searches aside.

After getting a 99% ability score I proceeded to finish out 5 stars in each of the games. Some took a few minute and others an hour, but I could not get level 5 on Infruition.

It seemed like it was giving me the wrong result. So I decided to record it with a high speed camera and compare the counts of fruit to what JobFlare was telling me was the greater number. And amazingly I now have video of JobFlare making mistakes. Was this crappy programming or a bug introduced on purpose?

So much fun & so very interesting!

2024-01-11

This is the most innovative concept! I have never been one that enjoys playing games on my phone, but these games are really great for exercising the brain AND possibly standing out to employers?!?!? GENIUS!!

Waste of time

Job flare

2024-12-16

I think Job Flare is a really good app with very good games and I’m really enjoying them, especially Robot Inspector. I think it would be even better if there were more different games.

Pretty good

2024-12-16

It’s scientifically calculated to touch on all the things employers look for, and I like they made it more interactive than a resume would be.

It shows your rank and percentile among the average of others in various career fields you chose, who I assume also play the game.

I just hope employers actually pay attention to this. Someone’s gotta give the experience-less a break somewhere.

Definitely appreciate
