I loved the concept. Used to read choose your own adventure games as a kid and enjoyed the hell out of them. So I downloaded the game. Paid for 25$ for the story which promised 170k+ words. Read through 30 chapters of the game I just paid for only to be told I have to pay an addition 5$ to continue. What a bunch of crap! I already paid for the cyber-novela, why the hell do I have to pay more? Seems like a great concept. Hope they spent my hard earned $$ to pay some more writers. They’ll never get another dollar from me.

I don’t normally write reviews but I was disappointed that these chapters to move on to the next books I must buy them. But the other games from this company have it set up we’re you earn coins for story’s by doing good and watching adds. The stories are wonderful I just wish the coin mechanic was the same as the other so even if you couldn’t spend money you could still work to enjoy the whole product.

I really enjoyed this game and look forward to finishing it and moving on to others by the same author. However, at the end of the chapter the only reasonable choice for my behavior was grayed out with left me two crummy choices resulting in me being killed. I then had the choice of going back to the same chapter and repeating thisFrustrating experience or going all the way back to the beginning of the novel.

So I read the first chapter and am on the way to the rest. It’s not badly written and I like the constraints your set into. I’d like to see what happens next, we should be able to heal a bit during visits to town or camps just to make it more realistic. Not that fantasy is realistic but maybe a heal spell? You are a paladin so that’s part of the norm and par for the course. Anyways please keep writing and making more!

I love how there is no one right way to go in the story. The story shifts PoV from one character to the next, which surprisingly makes the world it is set in seem more immersive. The “right” choices you should be choosing are based off of the character you’re playing, what what their morals are.

As for the story and world itself, it is not entirely original feeling, but the way it is carried out makes it feel quite fresh, compared to other interactive stories. A common problem among interactive stories is that they make the reader feel like the area they are in is the only part of the world. this app does not have that problem. From chapter one, the story gives you a sense of adventure, and that there is much more to explore in the game. The world is interesting, and I look forward to finishing the game.

I’m only on chapter 4, but I am super excited to continue on with the story. I will definitely recommend this to friends.

I haven't gotten past chapter 4 as I started not too long ago, but can already tell it is a great game. I am a huge bookworm and constantly have imagined being part of the books I read and I often write Fanfictions. This just brings something like that to life, in a way.

I have fallen in love with interactive stories like this one. They are so much more fulfilling than random brain dead games being developed and the author of this app is a wonderful story teller! This interactive story is well worth the price and I encourage to get lost in it as I have. Kudos once again to the developer/author, you have a gift.

This was amazing. First of all it’s an actual book. Like a real series. So I just lost a whole day binge reading 😂

But as far as the game/choices. It’s beautifully done and unlike others there’s no limit to how much you can do at once. I was able to play through in a single sitting.

Moral of the story just get it

This interactive story is very enjoyable and a great way to pass time, though I’m finding myself using Paladins before any of my other games! It brings back memories of reading the old ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ books when I was young.

Im not much of a reader I mostly force myself to read because I have to, not because I want to. But, whenever I was in a car trip I decided to download this just to check out waste some time and mannnn. I’m hooked this is amazing storytelling and writing really enjoying this a lot

I don’t always get a chance to sit down and read being busy with work, at home with the kids, yard work and thing that pop up in life. That being said I generally always have my phone with me, and when I do get a rare chance I like to sit down and have a good gaming session. But anytime I’m waitin here at work, on lunch break or the DMV or wherever this is a pretty entertaining story to follow. Trying to match the choices to the different characters and situations gives you a sense of impending doom and enjoyment knowing your more or less leading them to the end. I’ve died a few times in the story but it made me WANT to re read the chapter and TRY to figure out and play out all the scenarios that could happen. I’ll be reading this to the end. Thank y’all for make this interactive novel.

I enjoyed playing this game and putting myself in the character’s shoes prior to making a decision. I’m naturally a bookworm and enjoy reading; but getting to make choices that impact the ending of the book definitely puts a nice spin on it. Also liked getting the scoreboard at the end of the chapter (though I didn’t like it when I didn’t get the highest possible score right off the bat!).

These apps are the only kind I am really addicted to. Even though you can’t choose gender and create your own character, I still really enjoy reading and making choices, changing the route of the story. I really hope a free zombie or post-apocalyptic type story comes out soon where I don’t have to pay to proceed. Again, I really love these type of games and I hope more come out soon.

An engaging story, interesting plot, and entertaining dialogue.

I found it SOOOO fun and wanted to keep doing chapter after chapter until I finished. 😊 5/5 stars ALL the way.
Comparing to a Choose Your Own Adventure: 1)this has scores at the end of each chapter, and a ranking of how well you played the character. This makes it more fun every step of the way, and lets you go back and do better.
2) achievements that give rewards. Very fun!
3) on the other hand, the story doesn't really change based on choice as you go along, because the text is from an actual book. If you die, you have to go back and try again until you don't die. So there's not a bunch of endings or anything...but I'm not really complaining, just informing.

I’ve been a long time fan of Delight choice games since I first found wizard’s choice on my old windows phone when I was a kid, but this app has set itself apart for me with its beyond excellent story. I haven’t finished the full story yet, but the amount I have read is already worth every penny. Thank you Delight Games, and I hope to read many more of your stories in the future.

I have been looking for choose your own adventure games for a while now and once I started this story, I couldn’t stop. It’s different than what one normally gets but that is not a drawback. Always a strong reader, this story appealed to that part of me and also allowed me to participate, which pleased the gamer part of me. It was truly an adventure but excuse my short review for I have more adventures awaiting me!

So stoked it's finally on iOS!! I'm a crazy fan of Delight Games, and subscribe to their news letter. I've been dripping with jealousy since I saw this available everywhere else except to us iOS users.... but it's finally here!!!

Haven't read it yet, (lol), but I'm positive it's gonna be a 5 star rating. I've read all of the stories, including the children's, and have absolutely loved them all!!

In just the first chapter of the book, the quality is put out 100%. It’s also not one of those where you just read the first chapter and have to buy the rest, but you get an ENTIRE book (30 chapters) completely free. You also get to see the story from several different perspectives, giving you even more choices on how to progress the story. Simply put....its legendary. There are also 3 more books for purchase, and in total it includes 103 more chapters to read. Muy bueno👍

I absolutely love this game, and I love that it’s taken from an actual book series and put into this format. I’ve completed the first book now and I’m thoroughly hooked- but I am curious as to if spending 4.99 on the second book would just be for that, or if it would extend to access to a third book if it’s added to the game.
Either way, I feel it’s worth the money to continue the story in this interactive fashion. I have a deep love of reading but little time to indulge it anymore. This game is the perfect solution for me. Great job, guys. Keep it coming ✊️

So I was thinking maybe give us more of a tutorial like a short story and how to use gold or coins or what ever it is you get with or without trophy’s for certain things but overall a great way to pass the time
