This is the most frustrating part of my day battling this awful app while trying to listen to the Free Beer and Hot Wings Morning Show. WGRD979 consistently comes out of commercial breaks into music instead of back to the morning show. The morning show is the only reason I personally use WGRD979, but it is so unreliable that I am beginning to not want to listen to this show that I tune in for every single weekday morning.

I could switch to the Free Beer and Hot Wings app itself to listen, but the sound quality on that one is atrocious. The only good thing that this WGRD app going for it is the sound quality.

Would not recommend.

After the most recent update I tried to listen but every time I click to listen WGRD979 crashes. Great job dev team…

I don’t know what’s up with WGRD979 , but it keeps crashing on me.

It just plays Geico commercials over and over with a Capital One commercial thrown in here and there.

Consistently inconsistent. Crashes every 20 or so mins. They won’t fix it though. It’s been like this for a year.

If you try to listen live WGRD979 crashes instantly w/ the newest version.

WGRD979 is junk. I can listen to about one segment before it starts endlessly buffering. Have to close WGRD979 and restart to get it going again. WiFi and LTE.

Downloaded WGRD979 to listen to while I was out of town. After 6 minutes of commercials and ads I deleted WGRD979 .

Constantly freezes up and almost never has the correct song info for what’s playing. Developers must not know how to write apps cuz it’s constantly being updated but never get any better. One of the worst.

I love listening to WGRD in WGRD979 . It worked great at first but lately it’s always crashing. I am at the point, I have to restart WGRD979 every 10 minuets.

App will stop playing. Always at the end of a commercial. If I open WGRD979 back up and hit play, the entire commercial break will replay unless I restart WGRD979 .

Not sure why Radio Pup is a bad dog cuz this one is a steaming pile of crap. Always stops playing after an ad plays so there are constant restarts involved. Sometimes miss ten minutes of actual broadcast. Very frustrating. Will re-download when they have an app that actually works.

I start WGRD979 in the morning and after 10-15 min all of a sudden it stops playing. I look at my phone and either WGRD979 closed itself, the stream died and I have to close and reopen WGRD979 , or else it paused itself randomly for no reason. I love this show but moved away from GR so I’m hoping the bugs will be fixed soon!

I don’t know why they bash the radio pup app when WGRD979’s stream quality isn't any better... I’m constantly having to restart WGRD979 to keep the stream going. No rhyme or reason... I’ve never listened to a full hour without messing with it. I love that I can stream it from the radio. Just please fix stream stability. I’m currently listening to more commercials re-starting WGRD979 than anything. (Conspiracy theory?? ((Kidding calm down))

There’s been improvements in the streaming quality. It only had trouble when I leave my WiFi and switch to data, but then adjusts and is ok. However, I’m noticing more and more that music is playing instead of the ads. Initially I thought that was great until I realized it was cutting into Free Beer and Hot Wings, the only reason why I’m listening to this station. Please fix!

WGRD979 is super easy to use, as well as organized in an easy to navigate through manner. The settings are simple to update. It's nice to have my favorite morning show, weather, and news all in one place.
