2.2 out of 5
Doesn’t work

Pretty much just says every single user name is taken.

Doesn’t work

Keeps saying I need to login to WaybackMachine when I use the safari extension, but when I go to WaybackMachine I’m already logged in

Buggy app

This site is amazing and I give it 5/5 but WaybackMachine needs significant work. It crashes and doesn’t allow you to search for anything without getting errors. This ap would have so much potential, I would even be willing to pay money for a working version of this. I hate to write this disappointing review but all the negative reviews here are true..

Cool idea, horrible execution

Like other people have said, any time I try to access a file WaybackMachine crashes completely. Also, when it used to work it wouldn’t save where you were listening in an audiobook so you couldn’t just pick it back up later.

Pointless. Just use your browser

WaybackMachine has almost zero benefit, and you can’t even use it without logging in and making an account.

Just use the internet browser. Apps are not necessary for everything. Almost nothing needs an app.

Total garbage does not work.

Job failed all the time!! Total trash, delete.

Doesn’t work

Every button I click just has an error message or will crash WaybackMachine completely.

Legitimately fake

I thought it was real at first when I was in the sigh up part it didn’t let me I used my real email it said name was in used then I started spaming didnt work this is fake might steal ur email

Leave it alone

Why did you change the search process? Go back, Wayback to the way it was. I cannot find &$@#% NOW. I loved it before but now add it to the scrap heap of advertising portals.

Great Idea, not great app

This would be great, if it worked like the web version, and did not require you to register an account.

Do not like

I don’t care for the changes they have made to WaybackMachine . The old app was much better. What happened to the search tool?

App needs work

Clunky to use. The web content is there, but the interface could be greatly improved on. As of now, you'd be better off just going to the actual website on Safari.

Never works

I can search and and things to the playlist, but it crashes every time I do so. Restarting it shows that it’s in the queue, but trying to play anything will cause it to crash. Very frustrating

i don’t have a way back account

it requires you to sign up

Lots of bugs

The navigation buttons (back, close, etc.) at the top overlap the iOS top bar making them not work most of the time. Other bugs are probably more related to the Wayback servers always timing out when trying to save pages, and due to the iOS app itself. A little work in both areas would greatly improve the experience.

Download

Needs a way to download stuff offline

Needs some fix

I was trying to login but apparently it didn’t so please fix it.

Sad

try to log in and it ALWAYS says I know error, plz fix I really wanna use WaybackMachine and not the website :(

NEEDS FIX I CANT LOGIN!!!

It does need to be fixed however I made a account and went to login and it’s said unknown error I’m am confused Liz.

Great!

It does everything I need it to do.

Won’t work

It is way to slow at archiving sites and when I try to archive it from WaybackMachine , it doesn’t work you need to work on this

Second star is ONLY because I love the Wayback Machine

But WaybackMachine is garbage. Archiving a URL freezes WaybackMachine after giving a loading circle for several minutes.

Logging in

Crashes every time I try to login

Force Closing

It’s a great app, except I can only do one search, and WaybackMachine continuously force closes after that. I have to delete and redownload to use it once more before the force closing starts again. If that bug is figured out, it’ll be a 5/5.

Needs mobile optimization

Archiving works well, but viewing archives is spotty. Example, there’s usually no issue with viewing the “first archive.” However, choosing to view “recent archives” often presents a standard web page (the one with graphs at the top) that is barely viewable on mobile. The text is simply too small to select a date on the graph and there’s no pinch/zoom on those particular pages. There is on a “first archive”..but not on “recent.” I’m keeping WaybackMachine in hopes there will be improvements along the way. If you’re only archiving pages, this works great.

Problem

When I try to load a website with a lot of archives, it try’s to load and then it crashes. Please fix.

It has issues, but wow what an amazing powerful and useful app when it works!

Everyone should at least go to their website on their Home computer... powerful, productive, useful and will be ever so handy in the future! Start achieving people!

Fight the power by archiving it

There are PAGES WHICH MUST BE SAVE for the sake of common human knowledge and heritage. To often I have found and posted something of urgent importance, only to go back and fond it has been disappeared. If you find it and you consider invaluable to you, save it for everyone. Please!

Pretty Neat

WaybackMachine is pretty neat! I’m sure WaybackMachine will work out the tweaks in the future for mobile devices. But it’s a pretty powerful website on desktop.

Excellent digital archivist app!

Great app to help the Internet Archive store relevant web content. Only quibble would be to not ask to Archive when a link is shared to WaybackMachine ; proceed with Archive regardless.

You just don’t know...

...what you’ve got till it’s gone. Save Page Now!!

Works great.

Easy way to add any webpage to the this app. As an option to Safari.
