For those of us who are worried about the world we woke up to on November 9, 2016, the app is meant to provide an engaging sense of perspective (the CountDown) as well as a toolkit of strategies for activists, protectors, and anyone who accepts that we need to remain hopeful while we resist, protest, and overturn the damaging policies that are coming our way.
The heart of the Donald Trump CountDown Timer (DTCDT or DTCDTimer) conveys an important message: Every second counts! You can join others in watching Trump's seconds of infamy slip away, and you can even customize your countdown by changing from the default “optimist mode” to “pessimist mode,” which counts down to the end of a (hypothetical) second Trump term.
Here you’ll find causes to support, organizations that need volunteers, resources to protect yourself and those you care about, information about the news and the fake news and how to tell one from the other, and links to help you plan or participate in organized protests and rallies.
You can also set your own date—maybe he’ll be impeached! While you're enjoying that sand-through-the-hourglass experience (never mind that there's a lot of sand in this hourglass), you can read inspirational quotes, consider a variety of coping strategies, and plan ways that you can make a difference.
Because we want anyone who needs these resources to have access to them, the Donald Trump CountDown Timer is free and has no ads.

Wasn’t going to leave a review, but...
Wasn’t going to leave a review, but then I saw that the reviews for TheDonaldTrumpCountDownTimer were skewed by pro-Trump trolls. Not even going to get into the irony of calling someone who would download this a “snowflake” because you’re too upset by TheDonaldTrumpCountDownTimer’s very existence to ignore it. Or saying “why can’t people just go about their lives?” while stopping to write a review to whine about them.
Anyway, I had the TrumpDown app, but it appears to be my only app out of about 90 that didn’t make the transition to iOS. This one is better, anyway. Has links to get involve with resisting and can be customized to show different formats, or even a two-term “Pessimist Mode.”
However, the “Reflect” section feels grossly incomplete and the entire app defaults to measuring the clock in “seconds” when you reopen it after closing. Measuring more than a year in seconds is laughable.

I’ve used this since he was, well, not exactly elected, but chosen by the electoral college. It helps to see an end point. Note that all the negative reviews are from the MAG cult.

App with a purpose
Keeping a countdown is an idea that occurs to many, but TheDonaldTrumpCountDownTimer is much more than that: It offers real suggestions on how to cope, and more importantly, things that you can do to make the world a better place regardless of how you feel about this presidential term. There are no ads -- TheDonaldTrumpCountDownTimer is a bit of philanthropy on the part of the developers, not a self-serving operation like the Trump Foundation.

TheDonaldTrumpCountDownTimer is a great guide to fighting and surviving the new administration, and strives to be friendly to all people of all types and across the political spectrum who see and fear the threat of ignorant authoritarianism. It lists ways to act and contribute to the opposition, as well as reflective methods for loving and caring for yourself throughout these deeply troubling years. Let the countdown begin.

This is much more than s clock counting down the days, hours, minutes, or second until Trump's term is done. It provides suggestions for coping, resisting, and facing the challenges of the immediate future. We could give in to despair, but TheDonaldTrumpCountDownTimer helps us choose to fight.

This is a great app! I especially like that it has the option for "optimist" or "pessimist," depending on how you want to set the timer. Many nice extras to help pass the time, however long it may be, like news links and ways to get involved. Love it!!

Quirky little app.
The hand-drawn artwork is entertaining and charming, and the two options of "optimist mode" (trump only serving for one term) and "pessimist mode" (trump serving two consecutive terms) are a nice touch to the countdown until Trump is out of office.
