It’s probably a relatively decent free weather app but I find other free ones better.
When it comes to the subscription, it basically offers 2 things:
- removes ads: not worth $3/month for me
- calendar integration: to call this integration is a joke. What WeatherUpLiveWidgets essentially does us show your meetings/events in WeatherUpLiveWidgets . However, integration should mean that for my meetings that have a location, it shows the weather in that location. Of course, it doesn’t seem like WeatherUpLiveWidgets can do that. Reached out to the dev to make sure I’m not doing it wrong but so far I have yet to hear back.

I have used this weather app for years now and I really do like it. There is simplicity to it while also having a lot of quality features and good flow to it. I think the Map UX is really clean and its nice to see multiple places at once that you have marked. I
I have contemplating upgrading to the paid subscription but WeatherUpLiveWidgets has not been updated in almost TWO YEARS! That means no Widget support yet, no new features, and no consistent updates to ensure everything works smoothly. If Weather Up adds iOS 15 Widgets and more app updates, I think more people would gladly pay for “Pro”. Until then, just another seemingly abandoned app.

It cute, but nothing better than what is already available for free. The annoying thing about WeatherUpLiveWidgets is that you cannot remove the advertising as you can in other apps. If you click to close the ad, another box appears to sell you the no ad version. This is not fair and not good for those who are frugal. I will continue to use the weather channel at least there when the ads appear, I can manually remove them without being forced to make a purchase.

There are many other weather apps that provide much more features and accessibilities than WeatherUpLiveWidgets....for FREE! Yes you have to pay now days to get all the extras but there is a difference between a monthly subscription and a one time fee.
Weathermate offers a complete set up and has info that’ll actually encourage the user to buy the pro version because WeatherUpLiveWidgets itself is just awesome. But don’t settle with WeatherUpLiveWidgets as it has limited use that offers useless info that all the other weather apps already offer for free and have much more.

Nice app but Pro cost at $9.99 per year is outrageous. Most apps I’ve upgraded to Pro were a $4.99 one time charge. A $9.99 one time charge I feel would be a little high but may entice me to upgrade because I really like WeatherUpLiveWidgets layout and function. But I would NEVER pay $9.99/year to upgrade any app to Pro with possibly the exception of a golf GPS app. There are many other weather apps equally as nice than can be upgraded for a one time charge. Remove the per year fee and you have another customer.

I am a weather app junkie. My folder of weather apps on my phone is overflowing. My favorite is hello weather which I happily subscribe too for $4.99. But hello doesn’t have feels like temps in the hourly forecast. I still subscribed minus a feels like in futures hours. Weather up shows that data which so why I was so excited when I stumbled on WeatherUpLiveWidgets. I do a lot outside so it’s critical I can see the “feels like” temp 3 hours or so from now. At first I was ready to subscribe to weather up until it was time to get the dogs outside at 9p. Weather up said the feels like temp was 16. So I bundled up ready to brave the cold. Much to my surprise it wasn't cold at all. I opened another weather app and the swing was a wild 20 degrees higher. As much as I cringe at the $9.99 annual fee (rather high for a minimalist weather app) WeatherUpLiveWidgets needs to have other weather providers to choose from (like hello weather). If they do I’d be inclined to subscribe. Though $5.00 is more where I see WeatherUpLiveWidgets but I’m an old
Man that still doesn’t get the whole subscribe stuff. Great app to add to my weather collection but I wait patiently for an update that brings more providers since the current app provider (whoever that might be?)does not work in my neck of the woods. :-(

I love WeatherUpLiveWidgets . Very good for what I need it. Love the features and all. What I don’t like is how WeatherUpLiveWidgets likes to “forget” I have a subscription. And for some reason the Restore Purchase button can’t be selected. I have to uninstall WeatherUpLiveWidgets and re-install it again. It’s very frustrating. If it wasn’t for this, i would give it a 5 star. Thanks.
UPDATE: I won’t be using WeatherUpLiveWidgets anymore. They haven’t fixed their little glitch/problem. It was good while it lasted. Maybe if they fix it I would install it again. Thank you for the service. But I rather spend my money on something that will be working.

I love the UI of this weather app. The only thing keeping me from using WeatherUpLiveWidgets as my go to is the horrible widgets. I don’t want/need 3 widgets, that’s just poor design to me. Just make one that shows me pertinent information at a glance and expands to show an hourly forecast. Give me the current temperature, weather conditions icon, wind speed and precipitation chances at a glance and I’m happy. I can tap into WeatherUpLiveWidgets if I want more information. The UI of the current daily & hourly widgets don’t even fit in the box and there’s no option to expand. Seriously not sure why such thought was given to WeatherUpLiveWidgets and the widgets were kind of just thrown together. I will not renew my subscription if this is not addressed.

Dark mode looks great!... except for the icons. All of the icons (esp. Classic) all need to be edited and saved with transparency. As they are now, the icon files were saved against whit backgrounds... so when you turn on Dark Mode, all of the icons have white halos around them, and they look terrible. I hope this gets sorted out because I just bought a subscription and while the icons look flawless in the standard white background, they need much love for me to even turn on dark mode.

I love that you all are making it easy to use WeatherUpLiveWidgets with simple controls and most functions at the bottom of the screen. The info on the map is great too with its simplicity . A few things I would recommend... add a slider for the radar loop so I can move between time frames at my own pace. Also I can’t view forecast or alerts while radar loop is running. The drawer just closes after a brief moment. Great start and I'll be keeping my eye on it.

I check the weather on my phone a lot more often now. Weather Up is simply a delight to use. So carefully considered in every facet of interaction.
I do kind of miss the Dark Sky-style "will it rain in the next hour" hyper-local forecasting, and it would be nice if locations synced across devices, but those small nits should in no way discourage you from trying WeatherUpLiveWidgets. Once you do that, my guess is that you'll want to buy a subscription.

Purchased for iPad Pro 10.5. I own several weather apps so was tempted by this one. A few things that need polishing IMO:
1. Zooming/moving screen causes the stream to completely refresh each time. Not so bad normally, however the refresh takes an unusually long time.
2. The panel at the bottom really has to have an option to hide. Feels intrusive. Really noticalbe on iPhone 6S Plus. I realize it was designed with the iPhone 8 in mind, however a hide option would solve this issue.
3. Would really like to have the ability to see dew point. In hot/humid climates, this along with the heat index is really useful.
4. For some unknown reason, after having it installed for a few hours, the iPad version started crashing. Not sure about the iPhone version as I use the iPad version the most.
Fix these issues and I'll change my rating to five stars.
Update: Latest version has provided some improvement. Developer's response to my concerns indicates they're serious at this point. Raised rating to four stars.

I love it that I can easily scroll through hourly temps, precip forecasts and humidity into the upcoming hours and days. Response is quick and interface is very clean also appreciated. In my snowy area, extensive radar is crucial to have which this doesn’t provide with future forcasting so I use another app for radar only. Like I said, experimented with over a dozen apps but rely on this one every day on my iPad.

Nice app, best part is I can see a list of multiple locations’ temperatures at once. I also like seeing the big map, and then zooming in on the place I select.
Only complaint is, it’s very sensitive, and I keep brushing the map by accident; then it zooms in to where I touched it, and gives me the weather in the middle of the ocean - or wherever!
On the other hand, it is cool that it can do that...
by Jayes007
I don’t write too many app reviews. And this one is a long time coming.
I’ve had Weather Up for probably over a year, and it’s been beyond good. The developers are always improving. The weather is more accurate than you’ll find in the stock Apple weather app. It has radar. It has customization features. You want it, it has it. Get WeatherUpLiveWidgets.

WeatherUpLiveWidgets is however amazing! Never had a weather app this good! WeatherUpLiveWidgets has super cute stickers that have every emotion, Especially, this cloud, down below! Amazing app, totally get it! Have some fun with WeatherUpLiveWidgets! Love WeatherUpLiveWidgets and hope you do too! And No problems as far as I know! Has real weather and date, and very organized app! 5 Star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for a amazing, free app! Get it for Sure!

You can’t beat ¢49/month! Thanks for making a great paid weather subscription for a price that is actually reasonable.
Love the UI and especially the customization options. One suggestion: make an app icon with a solid black background for those that like to keep their home screen minimal by using the solid black iOS wallpaper. That way it would stand out because the cloud and sun wouldn’t have any color behind on the black background. Make sense?

I lie the most the hour by hour and the 10 day weather is gives me Fair enough repor tank to Plan local trips. I am a motorcycle rider this is important for my solo long trips. Very happy with this I always I also check other sources for decisions you know no one have 1000% accuracy when it comes to weather is just another great tool to have.

This is a simplified, no-nonsense weather app that can be customized for your own selection of cities. For example, my daughter lives outside a tiny town called Rayland, Ohio. I could list Rayland as one of my target cities. In fact, I have the four cities of my daughters listed. A great way to quickly track the weather of all their locations. For me, perfect.

I'm always looking for the best, most accurate weather app. So far, this is my favorite. I also really like the widget, which is the first info showing in my Today view. Also easy to see at a glance your favorite cities' weather.
The temperatures, wind & humidity are amazingly accurate when compared to my local weather apps. I like the expanded radar view that can be set in motion to see the direction precipitation fronts are moving.

The developers listen, they fixed the one thing holding me back from purchasing Pro and I didn't hesitate to buy lifetime. Awesome job!
App is easy to use, intuitive controls, great UI. Forecasts have been relatively accurate, but that's more on the data provider, not WeatherUpLiveWidgets . At the end of the day, I enjoy using Weather Up, I get what I need in a matter of seconds which is how a weather app should be. Looking forward to what's next.

My favorite thing about WeatherUpLiveWidgets is how it balances showing you a ton of great useful weather information without being overwhelming. The radar implementation is fluid and seamless. And my favorite part is the view you get showing all your favorited locations on a map with their respective temperatures while overlaying the radar. Wonderful update everyone!
