Easy 5 star if it didn’t lag

The game itself is awesome...when you can play it. Back before it lagged constantly it was my go to game. Spent money on it cause I like the game not cause I needed to to win. The content is great at every level. The game play is simple were it can be and deep where it should be. The graphics are amazing. But I stopped playing this brilliant game cause it just lags constantly now. So disappointing cause this is otherwise a shinning example of what mobile games (and games in general regardless of platform) could be. It seamlessly combines strategy and first person shooting...well other than the lagging. You never feel like you need to spend money to win, you can adjust your strategy and weapons instead. You can be really serious with it on harder difficulty, or you can play casually to blow off steam and shot stuff. Fix the the lag and I would give it 10 stars if I could. But it is practically unplayable now...just disappointing. Please fix this wonderful game!
Unlimited Ad Works

Game is still fun but now its almost littered with ads imo. From first booting up Noblemen to ad loots and gold to even after every scenario/mission completed or failed. There is even a slim chance you get an ad that once its finished you still get the “Loading” text in the middle of the screen (or a darken transparent blank screen) on top of whatever it is you are looking at before the said ad started.
This game, mind you, is still fun to play and combines tpp/tps and rts/strategy when fighting and strategy when planning moves to take out the enemy’s HQ, units, cap/decap ES and other important areas. You can control your nobelman (woman, veteran, or gear if bought) to fight along side your npc allies or you can relax and let the fight autoplay itself. There is also a skirmish mode that allows you to team up with other players or you can solo it.
This game does not need internet access to play/load the game.
Needs updated.

I’ve played this game for about two years now and it’s consistently gotten worse. The gameplay never changes, the only aspect of battle that matters are the officers. The morale implications for officers skews the gameplay to the point it has become repetitive. The global rank takes forever to increase and has no real impact on gameplay. The backup you pay for has no true involvement in the battle. You just need to keep your own nobleman from being injured, otherwise morale plummets after the first hit and the battle becomes a mayhem filled, timed speed run to try and kill their officers. There is no realistic balancing between defeat and victory in the campaign. You can end a battle having killed all the enemy officers and leave one troop standing in a formation only to have that battle come out as a stalemate. I just think some of the mechanics need to be rebalanced before much longer.
One of the greatest game I ever played

this app is a great and original game with a great mix of action(3rd person shooter) and strategy. I love the game but here are some things I would like for the creators to do. First is more weapons for all the classes, I have realized that some units has weapons that you don't have such as the Brosnan AP Shotgun. Second is to make it that you get more XP, it takes forever to level up and that is good, such speed up the process a little, maybe you can make it that you get more XP in median mode and the most XP in hard mode. Lastly, the decap card, I hate it especially when one supply port is the intersection for all the supply ports you have. Make it that the only to deactivate a supply port is to have a unit stay on the supply port for 2 turns like how you deactivate a strategic port. Fortunately that's the only bad thing i got to say about the game, the rest of the game is great and will greater my wishes were granted.
This game is what every other IOS/Android game should strive to be. It has so much content for the users, from hundreds of different units and officers, 4 main classes with 4 different guns that change how you play that class each, a campaign that employs some sort of board-game-ish gameplay and a quick battle mode, a strategic battle mode, and third/first person shooter mode, dozens of maps, etc. I personally love the Civil War-WW1-Steampunk-futuristic style that this game accomplishes, and it accomplishes it perfectly. The graphics are also amazing for a mobile device, and mine can run the game at decent settings with decent FPS. The strategy that you use in each match changes with the units you use, the units the enemy uses and your available loadouts and guns. The game also encourages you, not forces you, to change setups quite often. For example, you can take down steam carriages much easier with the anti-armor loadout, but that doesn't stop you from taking them down with the support or the standard loadout, it just makes you aim for weaker spots in the armor while also trying to hit the crew members/critical components. Oh yeah, and you can have more than one army/battalion on screen. You can even have up to 3, including the enemy, that's without counting the support units! Good job Foursaken Media! You have created a masterpiece!
Review and Note to Developers

An absolutely incredible game. Re combination of both strategy and in-the-action shooter is outstanding. Gives the player a taste of the best worlds of combat games without missing a detail. Incredible graphics for a mobile game. Developers: Make a this app 1944!!!!!! I think you saying the same basic game idea in a 1944 setting would be insane. The heat of WWII would allow you to get very creative with maps and new units. (P.S. if you do it, please at bombers and fighter aircraft. That would be sweeeet). A couple of my friends that also play this game have agreed that a this app 1944 would be a top-of-the-line mobile game, one that would stay downloaded for a prolong amount of time. The game now is superb, but creating a second one with a WWII theme would be above and beyond the rest.

I have played this game ever since it came out. I was one of the first players to pick it up and have loved every second of it. Well...... kinda. I feel it could be updated more frequently, but when it does get updated, they are massive. If this game could be opened up to multiplayer, it would get so many more players. It’s a Great War strategy game, and I am one of those players who like to get every star and get as powerful as possible. For as long as I have been playing, I have yet to unlock the top guns, but am excited when I do. It’s not easy at all for the most part. Once you beat everything, you basically get unstoppable, until they release more levels. Anyway I highly recommend downloading it. Don’t get too addicted!
Update?

I very honestly love this game. Today marks my 60th day of playing. As I’ve been playing for a while, I beat the game, but I’m not one of those people who would go out of their way to get 100% with all the stars and the highest skirmish level, get all the weapons, or achieve the highest levels in the game. I love the game, but playing the same levels gets repetitive and kinda boring. I’ve been playing Foursaken’s games for over 5 years now and since then, I’ve loved every game, but this app could do with an update. It’s not fun going on every day to claim gold and silver and quit Noblemen . I want to keep playing this game and I really do hope for some good updates in the future.
Side note: Foursaken, if you’re reading this, I would really love an update for Block Fortress and Block Fortress: War. Block Fortress was where I started playing your games in 2012. I remember playing that game the first few minutes and I knew I loved your company. A year or 2 later when Block Fortress: War came out, I was so psyched that you had released a new game. To this day, I strive to progress in Block Fortress and Block Fortress: War. I look forward to updates in all three games (if they ever come) and hope that your company strives for years to come.
Most underrated game on the App Store

I absolutely love this game, with its story of alternate America in 1896. The battles match up to the classic, Pixel Gun. The weapons, upgrades, armor, battles, and story to wrap it up into one make this an amazing game. The graphics and large scale gunfights surprisingly hold up on an iPad or normal new or slightly old iPhone, and the way I can just play the skirmishes endlessly really makes this game fun. Although, I got this game a few weeks ago and have not beaten the game yet but for the older players or for when I beat the game it would help to have updates so the game doesn’t get old. Overall if your thinking about getting this game and your into the 1800’s time period and style along with action and story then buy this game I highly recommend it.
I absolutely love this game, best shooter I can find, with a nice mix of strategy. However, the recent update for survival mode needs work. If I could make some requests: more weapons would be #1. I feel like we need more weapons or a least the ability to add piercing damage to the current guns. The next thing would be to update the survival mode. Every time I enter online matches it kicks or kills the other player unless I’m lucky enough to find someone with a good connection but then it only lasts for about 10 seconds at extremely poor quality before kicking them. I realize it was just released and still needs some work, so I can understand waiting a bit before it works seamlessly. Also, maybe some different maps for survival or different objectives to protect? (Like an officer?). Other than that, the game is great
Unique. Strategic. Free.

Based off of an alternative Past, this app is truly engaging with a plot following the civil war, a massive plague, and then another civil war of sorts (which is the game). With an intriguing story, the game play is uncontrollably addictive and is completely free to play. In fact, this game has remained on my for the 30 day duration required to receive a massive amount of FREE GOLD, an accomplishment all in itself. Most games on the Strategy Tab for the Apple Store are simply big companies paying Apple to be featured and while likely fun, are very different from ACTUAL STRATEGY games. this app wipes those games' *ss with a silken handkerchief. With Map gameplay, First Person Shooter Elements, the ability to be an Overlord Commanding one's troops, leveling up and unlocking units, and most importantly, a Battle Gameplay that's realistic and actually takes ducking, cover, range, ammunition, weapons, speed, graphics, and the highly sought after PAUSE BUTTON into consideration when being played.
10/10; few games like this exist.
Also... Tip: If you keep losing Skirmish Battles, just collect the Silver and Gold every few hours and do the Campaign levels for a little while until your units level up and can crush the enemy.
Still a lot of bugs that need fixed

by FredricSalvo9
I’m surprised with how many bugs this game has after being out for so long, I mean to me it seems like sloppy work on the devs side or maybe they gave up on it for what could of been one of the best out there. The frames hiccup to frequently, just now I got stuck on sandbags and couldn’t move anymore, the game can crash just about anytime like when your opening a big crate, and times when it freezes up right before a battle to where you have to shut down the game; turn it on to re-enter the battle. Until you developers fix these many bugs I can see you losing what could of been a lot of profit Incase you don’t get it, these bugs will turn away a lot of would be players. Please fix these bugs at least before you abandon the game to work on your next get rich quick schemes.
Noblemen 1896: 7th Review Update
2023-06-02
by Random11boy
And the battery saving has come upon us... batteries will not die anymore! Anyways... with the recent update, the game has become much more smooth in terms of performance to battery use... it has dropped less frames... and battery saver does, really, really save your battery. Currently graphics have not really changed except for the "Battery Saver" mode, and controls have stated the same. It's more of a stability and performance update, mostly fixing major bugs and errors, and also improving the battery life of your phone... Current things that do need to be fixed are the difficulties of getting silver, better controls (they could be better), and also the inclusion of (maybe) a 1v1 multiplayer mode online... although highly doubt it... anyways... good update, amazing game, 101% recommended.... totally worth the space...
If You Love Strategy, American Civil War Settings, And Your Fond of H & C, This Is for You.

Yea, there glitches. Yea, it’s unfair FOR YOU, which is why strategies (And the usage of your brain) are essential to winning some battles. Save your gold for the OP units. Save your resources. Save your troops, don’t throw in a random militia and sit back. You’ll get wrecked. I played this since day 1 and you think it was fair back then? NOPE. If you call this game a P2W, you haven’t played long enough to rate it 1 star.
Overall very great game. The battle I’m currently fighting is the lag, it goes down to 20 FPS at times. But I am dedicated and addicted to this game. If you love fighting alongside your troops, capturing buildings, getting new gear and upgrading it, and having to use your brain for to come up with strategies, then this game is most definitely for you.
JUST REMEMBER: save your gold for the Op units, and your good as GOLD (get it? Gold? Ah, whatever).
I've played some great mobile games on Noblemen Store for 5 years now- from Clash of Clans to Hearthstone to Summoners War to BTDB to World of Tanks to Vainglory to Clash Royale. All had a pay to win component, but all had outstanding gameplay that was unique to mobile genre and are pay to speed up progress, but not absurdly overly pay to win.
I'd add this app 1996 to that list of best mobile games without a doubt. It's not overly pay to win (just pay to speed up progress), is very unique with both an arcade-like shooter incorporated and strategic turn based gameplay with mechanics found in rts games. Easily one of the best games out there on Noblemen Store and definitely work downloading.
Some things that would be cool in the future: a hearthstone-arena-like mode (draft cards and battle with them) and a live multiplayer game would be really cool (vs current attacking vs ai defending skirmish battles).
Love this game

Basically everything about this game is awesome. Tho I do have some complaints. Both involve the ads. One is that literally every time I open this game it forces an ad on me. Hate that. Second is when I actually want to watch an ad for needed resources, after I watch the ad the game gets stuck in this infernal, never ending loading screen. Hate that too. Only way to fix that is exit and renter the game. Which leads right back into ad problem one. Redundant. Please fix. Ads are whatever. In and of themselves they don’t bother me. But when these problems happen. It gets annoying really fast.
Other than that, I love this game. The aesthetics, the gameplay, the level up and upgrade system, the storyline, the lore, the pace, the tactics needed, easily accessible gold and silver, gear, weapons, armor, shields, cannons, ships, Tesla tech, and so much more. Absolutely a fan of this game.
Small Improvements
2023-10-07
by SirAlexanator
This is a great game, but here are some small things to improve it. 1. Crouching, crouching is something that would be very nice to have in hard mode, so you don’t feel so exposed. 2. Multiplayer, adding more multiplayer elements would greatly increase the playability, content, and player base of this game. Multiplayer campaigns, coop campaigns, and 2v2 campaigns would be the awesomest thing ever. 3. Adding the ability to become one of your troops, to enter, for example, a militia, and the rest of the unit would follow you. 4. Adding fortifications, like trenches, or bunkers being on the battlefield and being able to go inside them. You would be able to use war points on a piece of land and add trenches or , for example, a watchtower or something. The forts would be in battles as well, and you’d be able to go inside buildings and use them for cover. Thank you for making such an awesome game!!!
Forsaken Media Epicness!

It’s a fantastic game that goes beyond what I expect for third person shooters, in part due to the strategy required to win each battle, the way that you can play from either a radar standpoint (where your character is controlled by a A.I.) or on the ground from 3-Person view. This game has a very Heros and Castles feel to it, (player advances through story mode via optional replayable levels, can spawn groups of allies to assist in battle, AI units and player unit and non non-unit support can level up, etc. ) which I attribute to it being made by the same Awesome company. This comparison is not a complaint, but a highly earned compliment as I am a major Heroes and Castles fan. This similar yet unique app will continue to be recommended, and I look forward to more improvements in the future. Oh, there is one minor issue I have found: the zoom feature in the radar/overlooking-battlefield view during battle is mostly unresponsive when I pinch my screen, please note and fix when possible.
Great But Some Issues
2023-12-09
by BaconBeliever
It is a fantastic game. I play it constantly and can’t wait to play more. However, some issues are in the game just like any game. I very much dislike that you have to retreat from going into melee with enemies. I would much rather just run away on my own because when I have to retreat just to get out of doing melee, it really ruins the flow of the battle. I also wish you could level up your character just a little faster. Continuing to rise through the Skirmish ranks and levels in the campaign can cause a player to be severely under-leveled, making them have no chance in higher ranks but breeding through anything below it. Many obstacles that look like cover are actually not, and this has caused my death on more than a few occasions. Framerate drops are everywhere, but I’m sure this will be better sooner or later. Other than all these, I love the game. It’s the most fun mobile game I’ve played in a very long time. Keep supporting it, and I’ll keep playing it. Thanks for listening, guys.
This is probably the best game for the Action Genre on the apple store in my opinion. It also has that fancy twist of after the Civil War and alternate reality both of which I never thought I’d see 2 years ago when I got this. In this game it’s almost NEVER a pay to win, gold is very accessible and so is silver. The weapons and gear will balance out your gameplay so you don’t need to spend 50$ to get your Ranger Class to level 5. If you do spend money: things in the store are nice and fair. I love how in every game the enemy has the advantage on you so that’s what makes it a great strategy game and why it beats away all the others. The only truly bad thing is the add pop-ups and you’ll see that every so often, but it would be more convenient to have an add when you choose to. The graphics are pretty high-detail for a mobile game and that’s not saying much but the game itself is pretty beautiful and I love the variety of maps and soldiers that are used throughout the levels.
