- Perfect way to do private art lessons by sharing iPad screen via just with desktop
- Great open source alternative to Zoom
- Worked well some of the time
- Came the furthest of all the ones I’ve tried
Really really really wanted to like Jitsi. It worked well some of the time, but too many times participants would show up with no audio or no video or both. I’m still in the market for a Zoom competitor and Jitsi came the furthest of all the ones I’ve tried. Unfortunately, it doesn’t cut the mustard.
Downloaded and created a test link to invite a friend. Before I could push the invite button I received a notification that a third party had joined the call. Deleted JitsiMeet immediately. I’ve tried to contact support but there is no support available on the Jitsi site.
Perhaps this is something happening to me only, but the accelerometer is suddenly incredibly sensitive when the phone is sideways. Therefore, I can't have the phone parallel to the ground without having the camera angle switch. Sometimes, the camera even "flips" like I'm looking in the mirror.
App is much better than it used to be. Now, the developers need to make it so ONLY moderators can kick people out of a meeting. Currently anyone can kick anyone out of a meeting. Have noticed several people joining a meeting that has not been invited and then they start kicking everyone out of the meeting, then lock the room. Then you have to setup a new meeting room and resend the link to everyone originally invited. MODERATORS SHOULD BE THE ONLY PERSON ABLE TO KICK PEOPLE OUT OF A MEETING.
When I use Jitsi, I cannot hear any google meets and it hangs up all phone calls and ft calls. This makes JitsiMeet very bad for online school, but great for everything else.
JitsiMeet has worked fine since March, but today I tried to join a group meeting and it crashed every time on my iPad. I deleted and re-downloaded, but it crashed again. I executed a hard reboot, crashed again.
I attempted loading the URL in a web browser but it seems Jitsi wouldn’t allow that on an iPad. I would have been fine if it had.
JitsiMeet Jitsi app on my iPhone worked fine so I don’t know what’s up.
iOS 14.1 does not request Microphone permission access settings so I’m not able to enable my mic. Under the ‘allow access to’ menu it’s just not there. It works fine on iOS 13.6...
Overall it’s very good. However there are ghost participants in the room. So when I return later to do another call I have random past participants there however they are really not there and I can’t kick them out. I am using iPhone 12 Pro.
Been using Jitsi for a few years now, and it never disappointed, but after the most recent update, whenever I talk to people, their voice sounds very echo-ey. Kind of impossible to use. Same goes for them. They say I have the same exact sound effect when I speak.
I love JitsiMeet. Wish there was a version for IOS 10, as I have a friend on IOS 10 who has an older iphone. I also think there could be some accessibility improvements with VOiceover for those of us who are blind/visually impaired. Looking forward to future improvements.
Is it because I’m using a tablet or am I just looking in the wrong place?
Excellent framework. Video is the new meet and greet platform and this initiative has long needed a catalyst to bring it into corporate private space. Beyond what it’s done for ZOOM am pretty happy to support extending it.
JitsiMeet is so necessary, however during every meeting the sound quality is poor and so is the picture. People are constantly getting cut off and lagging while speaking. Hopefully this can be fixed soon because it is very needed.
Use this all the time an you can even setup your own server if you like.
I use just a lot on my desktop and I thought it would be the perfect way to do private art lessons by sharing my iPad screen via just with my desktop ring my video.
Unfortunately, screen share is not supported in the mobile app yet. Please, please, please provide this feature in JitsiMeet . It’s really like to stay with Jitsi for all my video call needs. This feature would make it perfect!
Until then, I’ll probably have to find an alternative.
I have had no problems, works perfectly. I have it integrated into Wordpress websites. Users join on desktop or mobile. Easy Peasy.
Much better than others
Choose the name of your meeting and send link
Works flawlessly without needless complications
Thx for your great app! Today the platform that we use was crash and we went to jitsi meet to resume the class and it was awesome!! 🥳😄🤪✨🤩
When are you adding screen sharing in iphone?
Great open source alternative to zoom
JitsiMeet is almost perfect the only thing that would make it all the way perfect is filters I would be absolutely obsessed with being on calls with filters!!!!
Missed meeting cause no notification before meeting.
After join in the room i see nothing.
Black screen. !!!!
Unable to connect with UAE now, facing connection problem.
I’m attempting to use Jitsi in close proximity to others (LAN game with one friend in another location). I want to mute the friends closest to me so that I don’t hear them twice, but can’t! That’s a big flaw...
No mic access in privacy settings; deleted app &reinstalled; still no mic access. Using 2018 iPad
Great Application.
