Low-Paying, Unable to remove my account

Found Insense after being served an Instagram ad for it.
When you sign up for Insense , it has you create a price for your sponsored posts. It's never clear what types of posts this is for. After blindly putting in a price before you know what opportunities it applies to, Insense gives you a lowball suggestion indicative of what theses "opportunities" will end up paying. You still don't know what opportunities this price applies to at this point.
Once in Insense , there may be one or two poorly written opportunities for sponsored posts that are riddled with fragments and spelling errors. A 3-day countdown starts as soon as you see these. This countdown will spark numerous push notifications and seemingly urgent emails about how you're missing out on these brand collaboration opportunities that aren't even clear enough to understand what you would actually be posting.
Last, I'm unable to delete or deactivate my account. If you try and log in to the company's website using your login, you are immediately directed to the Russian link for Insense in the iTunes store. The FAQ's are unhelpful and feel like they have been translated to English from another language. After several unanswered emails to fix this, I'm very unhappy with my experience with this app. I'll be blocking the email address for these email blasts and removing Insense from my phone.

Shoulda read the reviews…

Quite frankly, should have read the reviews first. Glad others had a great experience but as an influencer and ambassador for many other brands… the criteria that is supposedly for deciding whether you are “worthy” enough to work with the brands on Insense is a bit cliche if you ask me. Brands want real authentic influencers and people who will review with growth in mind. People who will better their company not robots that just get the job done. The work on the diversity comment as someone who comes from a diverse background… quite frankly through me so far off. You could have 20k followers but get barely any interaction. Someone can have 1k and get amazing interaction. Bigger accounts don’t always have that personal feel or even the opportunity to guide people to brands products. Anyways, maybe work on the guidelines.

Bad experience

I don’t normally do this but I sent an email to this app prior, where I received a response that was not helpful or action driven. I was really excited about trying Insense in the beginning. I automatically noticed how confusing all the information was in comparison to other apps. I still decided to give it a chance. I started my first campaign with a company that insisted on paying me lower than their budget mentioned (likely because I am an influencer of color, it happens to us a lot unfortunately) against my better judgment I took the job on to get my first campaign on the site completed. When I received the product I followed the directions and had a strange allergic reaction. I explained this to the brand and still gave them a video. They decided not to pay me for my time. I had a second campaign opportunity through a different brand, they were challenging to work with. When I sent over my content for approval they loved it and asked for additional content but never mentioned anything additional about payment. I drew the line here. I really do not like the fact that brands can get your content and not pay you. It’s wrong, the process needs to change. I am deleting my account.

Watch out for Ariel Zuleta

I have been on Insense for awhile now and am decorated with a few badges. I have worked with great Brands and made some great money along the way. HOWEVER, I have recently been sent an onslaught of emails from Ariel mentioned above in a very harassing manner accusing me of not being responsive to a particular brand. She even threatened to remove me from the platform. But in fact I had written the brand a day or two before she emailed me. These has happened quite a few times with this app. I understand they want you to be responsive and I agree with that 100%. However do your homework before sending threatening emails and accusing creators falsely it’s not a good look and has completely turned me off from the platform

Not good for creators

Insense isn’t good if you’re a creator. I had a brand ask for photos- all it said was good lighting and showcasing product. Did that. They asked me to retake and showed an example. Did that , my photo looked almost identical to the example they sent. They asked me to reshoot and showed me a random photo from my feed that they liked that wouldn’t even be doable based on the product they sent, so I got frustrated and emailed this app. They basically said brands can ask to reshoot three times or I could forfeit payment. And they told me to follow posting guidelines. WHICH I DID! So frustrating. The brand is calle blissy btw. They sell pillows and random stuff. I also had an issue where I haven’t gotten a response from another brand and they keep pushing the deadline back so they can give me feedback. It’s been two weeks since I submitted content and they just keep pushing the deadline back so I have yet to receive payment. Of course this app isn’t helping with that either. Not worth the hassle for such low pay too!

Creators be careful

I wanted to delete my profile after navigating Insense and realizing it’s not intuitive to decline a brief, and the companies send you product right away which made me feel pressured as a creator - like I didn’t have a minute after I was accepted to thoroughly review the terms. Also, if you’ve worked UGC before you know the contract is very important. You don't even get to see one before the company is sending you a tracking number. I decided this wasn’t for me, and asked customer service to delete me profile. It took almost 24 hours of me following up, asking for them to delete my profile to get this resolved after following all their instructions and suggestions. In what world do they make it that difficult to leave an app? I don’t recommend this, from creator to creator. There are so many better platforms that aren’t as glitchy.

How is this an app for beginners!?!?!

They have declined my profile saying I don’t have enough following and not professional pictures when I’m almost at 1,000 and they don’t realize I get around 8,000 engaging with my account my pictures are more then professional I have done 2 years photography and 2 year videography I know what I’m doing and I’m doing it better then most so to decline idk what that is about I thought this was to help ugc beginners!!! You guys need to get your heads out of your a $$ and realize beginners don’t just start out with 1,000 or 12k

Buggy

I have completed one deal through Insense which was great but now it won’t let me submit to any future deals saying my Facebook page has to be connected to my Instagram page which it is but it keeps popping up with an error and Insense is being super glitchy and won’t let me sign in to my Instagram so I’m not able to actually use Insense correctly and I’ve tried signing out and making a new profile and i am running in circles wasting time. it would be great if it’s fixed somehow but as of now Insense is pointless.

Response times

I love Insense , but it could use a bit of fixing. Other apps I use, payment is automatically made within 3 days after a post is made if the brand doesn’t respond. Insense doesn’t enforce brands to respond in a certain amount of time or guarantee the payment even when the agreed upon campaign has been posted. You still have to wait for the brand to actually mark it as complete and sometimes they aren’t as responsive. It would be more helpful for the brand to have to approve the submission and then once it’s posted, it’s automatically marked as complete instead of waiting days to weeks for the brand to respond.

Good App for creators/influencers

I’ve worked a lot on here. The only reason I’m giving it 4 out of 5 is because I’ve had issues with Insense a few times and sometimes getting a timely response. Still highly recommend this!

Great for Beginners

I can truly say Insense has gave me an opportunity to promote myself as a social media influencer and earn some money. Really you don’t need 10,000 followers (currently 1.3K) or more to use Insense, all you need is great engagement. You also need to be savvy, as some people will not provide good business to you no matter where you are, but that is the brands fault. If you know how to navigate online business transactions and collaborations, and you know how to make social media contact, this is really a great way to earn income doing something you already doing - Especially if you have a following.

The app is great but it’s easy for brands to scam you

It’s way to easy for brands to scam you out of content. They initiate little to no payment and get all the content rights and usage out with a payment of $30! If you look up how much it costs on average for content and usage rights in the industry it is over $400!!!! Their needs to be a way we are compensated fairly especially when it comes to creating content for brands specifically for their ads! Also, it is way to easy for brands to not pay creators! One brand posted content before payment and has not replied to me in 6 days!!!

Solid App for Brand Deals!!

I have been able to get some amazing brand deals from Insense and it’s opened doors to working with all sorts of new brands! Whether it’s UGC or Sponsored Posts, I feel like the brands treat the creators pretty fairly!

I will say, you definitely need to REALLY read through the campaigns so you don’t accept a deal for a ton of content when you thought you only had to create one of the deliverables 😮‍💨 However, any mistakes I have made by doing that, is not a reflection of Insense , but rather my own lack of proofreading!

There are a few bugs from time to time, so be sure that your content fully uploads and follow up with brands to ensure they received content so your score doesn’t go down and you lose out on partnerships in the future!

Overall, it’s a great app for finding extra work, but I wouldn’t view this as a dependable source of income if you are a creator!

Brands take content without paying.

Does Insense connect you with brands? Yes. One star for that.

The problem is that you’ll get a gig, provide the brands with the exact content they requested and then never hear back again. You’ll send them photos and videos and for all I know they are using these without paying. The brands should be responsible to pay at least half before and half after completion. You have everything to lose and they have everything to gain.

A platform to connect creators with growing companies

I’ve worked with this app for over a year now and have really enjoyed the campaigns I got to participate in. Their platform allows you to talk with companies without giving out any personal information and this app does a great job moderating. The only time I had an issue with a company I was partnering with, this app stepped up and stood by my side as the situation got resolved. I’ll continue to be a part of this platform as long as it is available!

Amazing for UGC

I’ve been using Insense for a while now and it has been so great for working with brands for UGC work. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience you’ll be able to get work as long as you put in the effort to produce quality content. I’ve had no issues with payment and have been able to work with big brand names. Customer service is amazing too. I love Insense, so happy I joined!

This is actually working!!

I’ve been trying to find something as a stay at home mom to make a little extra money. This works great for me because I’m an artist and creator, so I still get to exercise my creativity while making ads for brands and be at home with my kids. It’s fun for me, my kids participate with me, and I get paid. I wish I had found Insense sooner! Also, it’s free!! Which is insane!

Love it

I’ve been using Insense for a few months now and so far I haven’t had any issues. I have worked with about 7 different brands now and I’ve had a good experience. Some have asked me to reshoot content which is understandable for the most part. If you’re looking for extra income, I’d definitely recommend. I can’t wait to continue creating more content here.

Really good one

There are a bunch of these creator platforms and at first I didn't really want to try yet another one. But once I checked it out, it's just a nicer more efficient app and experience. Insense 's easy to use, and I can share campaigns with friends through Insense . The Facebook account authorization seemed a little weird at first, and I'm not totally sure why all that is required.

Get it!

It’s honestly a really great app. I’ve only been on it for about a month and I’ve made about a decent amount of money so I definitely say when you’re on your app know your worth you’re worth more than Insense suggest but Insense is really great for moderating for you so you can get in contact with companies and create content.
