When I discovered nyup.com, I thought I had found a way to follow the news in my home region, so-called Upstate NY, but in the year or more since I downloaded this app, I’ve become disillusioned, and plan to delete it. Here’s my recommendation: if you care about nothing in Upstate NY except the Buffalo Bills, hunting, breweries, and live concerts by non-classical musicians, this is your news source. 5 of the first 6 articles up right now are about the Bills. The ration only improves marginally within the top 20. The biggest “news” is a heroic rescue of a dog from a frozen lake. Otherwise, it’s all outdoor rec. and food and drink. No news here, folks. Keep looking.
