This could be so much better.
Degoo only displays in portrait orientation, it won’t turn to landscape. This means that using Degoo while attached to a keyboard cover is a sideways, royal pain.
Secondly, there is no facility to be discreet when it comes to private files. Any photos which have been uploaded to this app will be in view as soon as Degoo is opened, or when in Gallery view. There is no way to keep any of your photos away from anyone looking over your shoulder. There’s no way to safely share your photos without also sharing all of your private images. There should be a way to differentiate between public and private photos. This has nothing to do with hiding porn or personal body parts. It also affects photos relating to many types of privileged information, eg. industrial prototypes, contracts, etc.

1. There is only web app, that allows you to upload only 5000 files. I would imagine that any mediocre used smartphone has more pictures than that. Forget about uploading folders, you’ll have to do it on file by file basis. It also heavily depend on your browser capabilities, overwhelming its memory and productivity. If you are uploading a few gigs of photos, forget about browsing or touching your computer for many hours to come, and the process crashes sometimes so you won’t know what files are uploaded.
2. You cannot have automatic backup from computer
3. It’s been second day of uploading photos from my iPhone, only 152 photos out of 8000 are uploaded so far. Very efficient way... there is no control over that whatsoever.

I have tried many apps but this app has been the most user friendly app for anyone and everyone who is new to this. Degoo practically guides you to do whatever it is that you need to do. One more aspect of Degoo is rewarding you with more space for referring other users. But frankly even if there was no reward I would refer people I know to use Degoo because if you have this app any device you buy does not have to have much Internal Storage, all they would need is a good internet connection and of course a this app app. Thanks to all the developers of Degoo for such an awesome app.

I purchased this app and at first was happy enough. I had a MacBook Pro, so I downloaded the Mac app, along with the iPhone and iPad app. Everything was going smoothly and then this app started using a Web App. I’m not sure what the Web App is because it does not work. I can’t figure out how to upload through the this app website. My three original devices are listed, but there is no way to upload. The instructions online do not help because what is seen in the photos is not what happens online. I also got another computer to replace my original MBPro and now I don’t know how to add it as another device. I have contacted this app several times. The last time was back in December 2019, but there has been no response to my emails. this app will you please tell me how to use your service? I would like to know how to use the Web App on my MBPro.

Getting 100GB for free is pretty sweet. I have yet to not be able to backup my photos and videos. However for some reason they put a daily limit on not only downloading videos (downloading photos works for me no problem) a certain amount (which they conveniently leave the specific number out) but even VIEWING videos in my files gets me a message ‘limit reached, please upgrade or wait until tomorrow.’ That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I can’t even download them without ‘waiting’ and I don’t think Degoo has a clock for itself so I might have lost some videos for good, even though they are looking me dead in the face and I can see their thumbnail. Why not allow me to download my things?

I never write reviews but I saw an add for this app 10TB lifetime plan for $100. It seemed like a great purchase even if the upload speed was slow and with all the other poor features. But after a few month of using it and being very happy with it, I received an email from them saying a bot detective copyrighted material and that my account was being terminated and I would lose all my data. It turns out it was a mp3 file I forgot was on my laptop when I did a complete backup. They didn’t even give me the option to just delete that file and once I received the email they completely locked my account and I could not even download the file I had uploaded! I lost over 150GB of data! Don’t trust them! I’d rate it zero stars if I could!

It’s sad that I have to write negative review about Degoo & the services rendered by the developer. I have had Degoo for the past 3 years & I can tell you for sure, I wasted my 100$. Initially, we had a computer app where you could download on iMac. So I saved all of my stuff on Degoo but the developer stopped supporting and updating the iOS iMac app and it has become obsolete. I have lost all of my computer stuff which is very painful. When I tried to software, Apple told me that they cannot be able to run to check malware because the developer hasn’t updated. This guy pocketed a lot of money after CNN market marketed tor them. My advice to the general members of public is that do not buy Degoo, you will not use it the way you intended

Al my photos upload without issue except photos I download from other cloud services to upload here. My phone is stuck at 78% remaining. I had this issue before and I had to uninstall and reinstall Degoo . Is there anything I can do other than that?

Another question I have. What is the difference between files and gallery on Degoo ? I’m confused as there are a lot of folders and such. But I am enjoying this service and app for sure.

It’s been pretty consistent and reliable. I had purchased a special promo subscription a few years ago for 10 terabytes at a one-time sale of $99. So far no issues and I’ve been pleased with the service.
My only gripe is that the interface can use some tweaks. A light/night mode option should be standard. With a few modifications to the user interface, it can be a top contender to the other guys.

Been with this company since early 2019, features come and go all the time, Especially the most useful ones!?!? Why do the developers think that this is helpful to the end-user, and now when I try and backup photos from my iPhone they automatically go into a dedicated iPhone folder instead of letting me upload to a specific location in the cloud. How is anyone supposed to keep their files organized this way?

Please allow users to select where to upload from their phone or the web and do not choose for us! This is NOT helpful.

I would like to backup photos from my phone to a folder of my choosing and have them actually be there when I check later.

Degoo has some nice features but the auto-upload gets stuck some times. Turning the auto-upload off, closing Degoo , then turning it back on seems to get it working again.

The web interface is also odd when uploading folders with sub folders. It ends up moving the sub folders into one another in odd ways. It has taken me some time to find the files I’ve uploaded by folder.

Honestly, if they fix those two things I’d give this app 5 stars just for the cost to benefit ratio!

Thanks so much! Degoo features a user friendly interface with the most free storage available anywhere that I am aware of. As an amateur photographer I will certainly utilize all of it. Hopefully I will soon be able to purchase the paid version because the extra features are well worth the price. No one can match what is offered here!

1. Degoo is missing a Search function within Files. I need to be able to get to a file quickly without spending 20+ minutes scrolling through dozens of GB of files. Currently, Search is only present in Gallery. Degoo is virtually unusable for this reason alone.

2. Please add a Favorites section displaying only the files the user has favorited. Currently Favorites serves no purpose on Degoo.

3. There is a media playback bug: tapping on an audio file usually doesn't immediately play the audio, instead simply showing a spinning blue loading icon, and the music doesn't start playing until the icon is also tapped.

I tried to contact them after seeing all of the instructions online for apps they don’t even have- like windows apps & mac apps with instructions on how to use them except the apps don’t exist anywhere. This is the only app & this only supports picture uploads not documents like they advertised. Even their web app doesn’t work. All I can get when I lock in to my files is nothing- no options to upload or do anything & even the picture I tried to upload through the iPad app did not appear. I buy 10 Tb of backup space from this app because they advertised backup for documents & everything & now it turns out to be a photo backup app that doesn’t even work.

Degoo is terrible. I used it to backup my files before doing a factory reset and now I can't access them. Downloading them from Degoo is impossible (no bulk downloads, you'd have to download things one by one and videos can't be downloaded). Tried with the desktop app (had to download it from a 3rd party website) and my files are downloading but really slow, ridiculously slow. It's taking hours - yes, multiple hours - to download just 1gb (200kb/s with a connection of 200mb/s). I wish I had read the comments on Facebook and reddit before installing this... Do yourself a favor and look for another backup app.

Their privacy policy isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. They audit your files looking for copyrighted content, and if they even think they find any, they’ll keep your money and kick you to the curb. There is an appeal process, but they don’t make it clear what they want... and will deny your appeals in a tenth of the time they respond to any other requests.

This is on top of the unresponsive support, excruciatingly low speeds, spammy emails, and a desktop client that barely works on its good days.

It’s basically an extortion racket. Don’t give them any money, you’re basically just lighting it on fire.

I like the low cost of this service and it seems to perform backups well. Would be great if there was a way to filter down to what is being uploaded at current. Out of the thousands being uploaded, it would be good to know what exactly is not. Also, sharing photo or file links would be wonderful. I still don’t know what this “chat” function is.

I subscribed to a 10TB lifetime license. I use it as a backup for my PC with about 1TB of mostly static backup that includes my music that was recorded by me or legitimately acquired. I got a note from them stating I have a copyright violation and it included songs I recorded (I am a recording engineer by hobby)!!! And that they will “terminate” my account in 2 weeks. Seems like a bait to lure people and bump off unprofitable ones.

I can’t delete my files/pics on the cloud. I can’t even organize them. On Degoo you can delete them but only on your device but not on the this app Cloud. Why? There is no option to move or delete your data, only download. There is a Recycle Bin but you can’t drag files to it. This is very fishy. Are they collecting data? I’m regretting paying for a subscription.

I would like to thank the people of this app and would like to say I am going fully to this cloud service instead of google. I am giving them a perfect rating because they are great at speed performance and I have not had any issues with program on my phone or PC. Thanks for the great job and keep up the good work.

I have been enjoying this app ever since I joined it. It transfers my photos quite regularly and reminds me periodically when these are automatically transferred. And gives me additional bonus space regularly. What more do I want. Thank you, this app

This company has sold lifetime subscriptions to people and to get out of their contract, they falsely flag your files for copyright infringement, and close your account. They are stealing peoples money and lying in the process. Stay away from this company, and their claims of fully safe and encrypted files is a joke... How would they even be able to flag my flies if they are supposed to be encrypted? This means that they are crawling through all of your flies, so I hope no one put sensitive files in their cloud... Your data is not safe...
