I have 2 problems with ManualCameraProDSLRRAW. First, WHERE ARE THE PHOTOS? You take a shot, and there’s no light box or other Raw+ library where the photos are stored. Look in the Camera Roll in Photos app. Not there either. So basically I’m looking in my screen at the photo I just snapped, but it’s not saved anywhere. (I know it’s not just me; there are other reviews that say this.) Also, after taking a shot, the photo is just there frozen on the screen. Can’t take another photo without closing & reopening ManualCameraProDSLRRAW . iPhone XS, iOS 12.

Honestly it’s really disappointing. ManualCameraProDSLRRAW crashed every thirty seconds because it was too busy trying to load more ads. I understand that you can pay for no ads and unlimited photos, but in order for someone to be impressed enough to pay, it should at least make a good impression in the first couple of photos. I wanted to like it. I really did. But I wasn’t even able to take the photos I needed to without it crashing and I ended up just using the original camera on my phone. :/

I want to love ManualCameraProDSLRRAW. The design looks great and I was very excited to start shooting. I have an old phone, so I could only shoot in jpeg, not raw, but that wasn't ManualCameraProDSLRRAW .
But it doesn't work. No matter how many pictures I take, none appear in my camera roll or the corner of ManualCameraProDSLRRAW where pictures normally appear. Also, ManualCameraProDSLRRAW crashes around every thirty seconds, goes black, and forces me to close and reopen it. Then it happens again. And again. And so on.
So fantastic design, but too many glitches, crashes, and failures.

Controls are probably the best of any manual camera app I’ve used. But the resolution of images is terrIble. Still using the evaluation version, so it could be something I’m doing, but I really do not think it is. Looks sharp until you come in, and then it’s muddy.
This is an app I’ll keep an eye on. Hopefully updates get made to the evaluation version and the resolution issue is improved. If it is, this will be my go to camera.

Is there a way to activate the camera flash? I also tried for a long time to find some kind of online support so I could answer this question. The link in the iTunes store just takes me to a static web page listing the developer’s apps. It would also be a lot more useful if it had a remote shutter option, or at least a timer. Back to the Camera app for now.

please allow 15x digital zoom as in the apple version the apple version has trouble focusing this has manual focus but I would like the zooming to be better or similar to the apple version but without the problem of focus and macro

ManualCameraProDSLRRAW is great for photography where the default camera app falls short, but there is no option to use the optical zoom on my phone - please add a zoom option

Same as other at least 2 other reviewers, there are no images to be found. iPhone X, iOS 12.1
UPDATE: I tried RAW+ on an iPad Air 2 and ManualCameraProDSLRRAW (same version of app, iOS) saved images as it is supposed to. The issue of not saving images would seem to be device specific and something for the developers to solve.
Update 2: still does not work on the iPhone latest iOS 12.1 and the latest RAW+, no saved photos. Works great on the iPad 2 Air and the iPad Pro gen 1, both with iOS 12.1
Update 3: all seems to be working, why I do not know; on my iPhone X there were no updates of ManualCameraProDSLRRAW or iOS 12.1 when it began functioning. Swear!
I have since begun using an iPhone XS and it also seems to be working at day 1 (iOS 12.1) so I am a happy iPhone photographer! Rating changed to 4 and I think that would give it 5 if I had a little more time with it.

This is a good app - I appreciate the simplicity of the controls (I think the new version Halide has too much hidden stuff in comparison). I’d give ManualCameraProDSLRRAW five stars but it doesn’t seem to have a timer function, which I sometimes need.

Allowed me to take a long exposure. Good! Should allow you to hide the white balance selector for less distraction, and allow you to export RAW files as JPEGs once they’ve already been taken. Otherwise you will need another app besides the native Photos app to deal with your files if you want any kind of noise reduction, as a 1/2 second ISO 1800 exposure from the iPhone XR camera will be unusably noisy without it.

I’ve been using this for a week now, on an iPhone 11 Pro Max, it’s a very good camera for the phone, but it slows my phone’s response down a little bit, especially in opening the normal apple camera app, I don’t know why but please fix the issue. The camera is fantastic

Using an iPhone 12, app takes nice photos and is easy to use. My only complaint is that when shooting in jpg+raw, the raw photo isn’t always the one I just took. It’ll show as the current photo, but it’ll show up as a photo I took yesterday. The jpg photo comes out just fine.

In general, ManualCameraProDSLRRAW is great. However, it sometimes does not load the iso and shutter speed scroll wheels. I also sometimes does not capture photos. Every time this happens, ManualCameraProDSLRRAW requires a restart on ManualCameraProDSLRRAW or sometimes even the phone itself.

I’ve tried others that didn’t even save the images in RAW format. This one however does! Very easy manual controls and very easy to use. I transfer my photos to PS Express and edit the raw files there. Beautiful quality out of the iPhone 6S Plus.
Only one issue: when launching ManualCameraProDSLRRAW it always automatically snaps a picture. Now I bought ManualCameraProDSLRRAW so I have no complains. I assume this tactic was added for the free users to lower their free quota? Would be great if it can be solved since it’s a waste of energy for me and a kind of dirty move if it is indeed meant for the free users 😅

I love photography. So without question I own a profession Camera. However, I don’t always have it with me… but I always have my iPhone with me. So it’s understandable that I’d love to be able to squeeze every bit of extra detail I can get out of my iPhone photos. The RAW+ App really does the trick. To make an honest comparison I took multiple photos using the iPhone built-in App, the RAW+ App and two others. RAW+ always had a slight advantage over the rest. It’s an amazing App that retain extra detail in Highlights, Mid-tones, Shadows and gives you control over those Black Points. For example, the color “dark red” has always been a challenge and RAW+ helps by retaining so much metadata that you have more to work with when you import into your photo editor. RAW+ doesn’t include any gimmicks like the others that offer dozens of buttons and sliders to play around with. It’s a Pro App. You adjust your White Balance, ISO, Shutter Speed and TAKE THE SHOT! It will give you a hefty file size between 5 and 10MBs that you can import into your photo editor where the real magic begins.

This is a really solid photo app and I would definitely recommend downloading it.
Also you have to pay $4.99 or €4.36 or £3.82, to take as many pictures as you want, if you don’t buy unlimited pictures you can only take 100 pictures.

I love ManualCameraProDSLRRAW.
The styling, the controls, the quality and results of each photo.
My only wish would be the inset focus box might be a little larger for my eyes and or at least incorporate focus peaking but I cannot fault ManualCameraProDSLRRAW design because of my older and poorer eyesight.
Did I say I love ManualCameraProDSLRRAW?

ManualCameraProDSLRRAW is great. It gives me so much control over my shots. The only thing I wonder is when I turn it to the lowest shutter speed it starts showing blue static everywhere. Not a big deal though. Also in the free version you only have a limited number of shots you can take. I will use them very sparingly. Anyway great app you should get!

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I love it- but I hate the camera. Apple’s post processing completely ruins about 50% of the photos I take.
Howeve, once I started using ManualCameraProDSLRRAW everything changed. I can finally adjust the settings easily, and these pictures come out looking great! ManualCameraProDSLRRAW is simple and easy to use. I would 100% recommend- it is absolutely worth the $7.99 I paid.

I’m a real photographer with a dslr and all that but this really makes my phone camera that little bit better. It doesn’t apply the Apple ProRAW “settings” that ruin the shot immediately. It allows me to capture good looking shots in poor lighting without horrendous noise cancelling that Apple ProRAW applies. I would totally recommend ManualCameraProDSLRRAW. You get 100 shots free with ManualCameraProDSLRRAW then it’s $7.99. Get this if you are interested and if you like it, I recommend buying it.

Initially I didn’t notice this but every time I modify a setting it takes a picture. For example if I select a different white balance or change the shutter dial or even tweak the iso everything I do takes another pic. Then I have to go in to my gallery and delete them all over and over again. I definitely want a refund.

There appears to be no way to release the shutter without touching the camera. I see no timer and using head phone volume control to release the shutter doesn’t work. I also wish there were longer shutter speeds.
I love the layout.
Landscape/nature photographer using the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Very need remote control, do example from another phone, because you can’t create night shoot with long shutter, and also need shutter time in seconds

I’m a big fan of Halide for most shooting - but getting it to do what you really want is not easy. Next I tried pro cam - and although it was possible to beat that app into submission - it is incredibly non-intuitive and ManualCameraProDSLRRAW would forget my last setting.
Then I discovered this gem! Simple, good looking interface and full manual control that doesn’t get in your way.
ManualCameraProDSLRRAW has been perfect for capturing action shots ( which is hard with a phone ) as I can have the focus and speed ready to go - at the expense of ISO. I actually like the raw noise from the iPhoneX - so sacrificing iso for shutter speed works well for me.
I hope ManualCameraProDSLRRAW is just maintained for compatibility - as I don’t think it needs ANY new features or complexity. It’s actually perfect as it is. Good work dev!!!
You might need another general raw camera app in your toolkit - but this is THE manual app to have.

I have tried different photo programs and this is the best yet. Very intuitive and easy to take beautiful pictures right out of the box ! Love the histogram and exposure warnings right through the viewfinder.
