This is sickening

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is appalling like other apps like this it ruins my teenage years I have to have the burdens of being spied on every day of my life for all I know SaferKidTextMonitoringApp could be spying on this review SaferKidTextMonitoringApp has kept me from making new friends because if I add a new contact it will send an alert and I am forced to delete it I also am punished if I talk bad about a teacher In the slightest bit teenage years are supposed to be the best years of your life and I just can’t wait for the day that I turn 18 and go to college cause the. I will get the freedom I need but it will be to late and I will already have adult responsibilities my parents got to live in a care free teenage years environment and it’s not right that I have to suffer. I just will never make the same mistake with my kids because I want them to have fun I want them to not hate there life and I want them to have a good relationship with me because I have seen what these apps do and I just am counting down the days till I’m free my teen age years should not be a prison I never did anything wrong . I hope this wasn’t the intent of SaferKidTextMonitoringApp but you trying to make things better has grown into a terrible problem and I hate my life and am counting down the days I look forward to school because that’s when I get to live my life and I go to a very strict school so that’s saying something

Kids will outsmart this in 5 min and make you look stupid

I hate to say it, but SaferKidTextMonitoringApp gives parents a false sense of security and makes them look stupid. I was able to circumvent SaferKidTextMonitoringApp very easily. Just send a test text and quickly delete it from your child’s phone. Presto! It’s not logged. Any child who wanted to evade text message logging could easily prevent SaferKidTextMonitoringApp from capturing the texts. Also on iOS if you cannot block texting then what is the point? (Support confined that SaferKidTextMonitoringApp only blocks 3rd party apps and not native iOS apps. Let that sink in!) Lastly when I went to cancel the subscription on day two after being extremely disappointed, I found that instead of being ready to charge me for three months worth of usage it was going to charge me the full yearly subscription amount. That is basically $200! It feels like a scam. Apple’s screen time is much better than this and it’s free. I am a developer by trade. I followed the installation instructions and it went smoothly. I was testing SaferKidTextMonitoringApp the next morning after the install due to the waiting period described by others. That part would have been acceptable if SaferKidTextMonitoringApp had worked as described.

A Real Solution for Parents

I heard about SaferKid from a friend of mine who works on the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
My friend does mostly undercover work, luring predators on apps like Grindr and Kik towards stings and, hopefully, away from children. Her terrifying stories of what it’s really like for young people today have kept me and my husband from buying a phone for our daughter.
Then she told us about SaferKid. When Jenny (our daughter) gets an app that might be dangerous, SaferKid sends us an alert and tells us what SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is, and why we should be concerned. The reviews are, in my opinion, a little conservative. But I’d rather feel like I’m being over protective than exposing her to too much risk.
We didn’t know, for example, that it’s better to keep kids off of social media apps like Instagram until they are at least 15, because at younger ages kids are more susceptible to things like sextortion.

The peace of mind we get from having SaferKid is well worth the price. I cannot recommend it highly enough. My only comment is that the setup took about 10 minutes, which I found annoying. I didn’t need any help to get through it, but it was a little frustrating to have to wait so long.

But once we got through it, we have been absolutely delighted with it.

Works part of the time

I like SaferKidTextMonitoringApp in that it holds my child to a level of accountability because she knows it’s on her phone and we can see what she’s doing. What I don’t like is that when she is away from me (across town or farther) and if her service is not great, SaferKidTextMonitoringApp doesn’t update text or internet browsing history and when it does update texts, it’s only bits and pieces. She’s been gone for a week but it hasn’t updated but maybe twice. Internet history hasn’t updated in a couple weeks. For the price we are paying, it definitely could be better.

Charged me twice

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp charged me twice. Apple saw the discrepancy and refunded me but my bank has yet to receive the refund. I blame SaferKidTextMonitoringApp because when my trial was over I accepted the subscription, then when I reopened SaferKidTextMonitoringApp it asked me to sign in again... and that’s where it double charged me. Now waiting on my end for this refund. SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is okay, but I don’t receive texts or webpage visits until a day or two after. The install is a little tricky, and walks you through but I had to go back and find info to help me to take care of issues because it didn’t fully sync. The Icloud needs to be backed up on the target phone. I also cannot get copies of phone calls because we have an Iphone, so yeah that stinks. It seemed to work better during the trial. The double charging left a bad taste in my mouth and alot if work on my end to get refunded. Too expensive for what it delivers.

Somewhat helpful- will continue charging $199 after canceling

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is somewhat helpful, but nowadays kids are on snapchat, tiktok, etc to message people so it's only helpful to an extent. Iphone phone logs are not available and imessages do not show up either. I cancelled the subscription so it would not renew 6 months prior to it expiring... Received confirmation of the cancelation as well.

After reading numerous complaints about people being charged $199 for another years subscription even after canceling, I opted to freeze my debit card two days before it expired in preparation for this. Saferkid has tried to debit this $199 charge four times and has now followed up with an email saying they need new card info today. Be prepared for your card to be charged again after you have cancelled.

No response!!

I’ve used SaferKidTextMonitoringApp for over a year...worked great. Used it on one son, tried adding second son, since he just got old enough to have a phone. And no way no how will it work. For over a week now my husband and myself have tried emailing, contacted Apple...just to get help! No response at all. Now I’m locked out of SaferKidTextMonitoringApp because my password is all messed up. So I’ve canceled our subscription for now. I hopefully will renew it with some answers 😔

I have checked my spam, my other folder...I’ve looked several times a day hoping I’d get a response and I can’t. I can’t get back in SaferKidTextMonitoringApp at all since my password isn’t working and I can’t change it under the “Did you forget your password?”. I’ve been spending $49 for a service that I can’t use and can’t communicate with anyone how to fix this. Very disappointed.

Frustrating

The idea of SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is great, however. It does not update call history for iPhones. Pictures sent in text messages do not load. It makes it really difficult to make changes that I want to make to my daughters phone. And most frustrating of all is the data refresh. It does NOT update throughout the day. When I open SaferKidTextMonitoringApp it gives me the “you can start a new import in…” but after the time is up it has not updated anything even when I know for a fact that my daughter has been sending and receiving text messages. Or if it starts an import and I have to exit SaferKidTextMonitoringApp but go back to it, it will start a new import all over (often 40 minutes instead of 20). It’s infuriating and I paid a lot of money for it to work so inconsistently.

Can’t see all pictures

I paid for SaferKidTextMonitoringApp in August and have sent many emails that I’m not able to see all the pictures my child sends and receives. It’s almost December and I still haven’t received help. I do love that you can shut down all the apps on your child’s phone remotely, but you can’t isolate which apps get shut down. So unfortunately, the other monitoring app (Life360) on my kid’s phone gets shut down when I shut off her screen time. So this is not a great feature.

Also, there is a 3 day delay in seeing my kid’s texts. So for three days, I can’t see her conversations. If she erases texts, I can’t ever see those.

The concept of SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is great, but there are a ton of glitches to fix. Support team is very responsive but unable to fix anything. They just offer refunds.

Do you not use. Stole money and customer service is non existent

I’m pretty sure this is a scam. I emailed them twice because they don’t give you the option to call them and I didn’t get a response either time. There is problems with SaferKidTextMonitoringApp working the way it should and for that much money there shouldn’t be problems. The worst part is that it took literally days to be able to use after all the things you need to do (they tell you to check back in 12 hours ect) so your 7 day trial isn’t really 7 days. I cancelled it before the trial was over and they still changed me $199 and customer service doesn’t give you the option to contact then any other way other then an email they don’t return. So now I have to file for a return through my bank as an unauthorized charge. Big pain. Don’t use.

Not even able to get started!

I just spent an entire weekend staring at 2 brand new iPhones trying to set SaferKidTextMonitoringApp up. I would consider myself quite tech savvy, and I could not for the life of me get this set up. For $200 a year, there needs to be tutorial videos, details troubleshooting, and UP TO DATE instructions!! There is no “profile” option when you go to ‘settings>general’. Trust me, I’ve looked. I think they want the VPN section (at least that is what all the other parental control apps use) but there are still no details available once you get that section. Regardless, I would have loved to have tried to use SaferKidTextMonitoringApp for the free 7-day trial so I could have an educated opinion on SaferKidTextMonitoringApp , but after not being able to get through the setup the expectations of SaferKidTextMonitoringApp even working plummeted.

Child that had the app

I was the child that had SaferKidTextMonitoringApp on my phone, parents if you feel the need to have SaferKidTextMonitoringApp on not only your phone but your child’s phone also, then why get them a smart phone. Yes children love to play games and text their friends, but they need to show trust not rely on an app to get to know your child better, it is also an invasion of privacy for so many reasons, think to yourself how you would feel if it was switch! Be a responsible parent and make the decision to let your child have a phone but nothing fancy so they can learn accountability and rules for online streaming, or if you don’t have the confidence in your child to do the right thing, do the right thing as a parent and have a sit down conversation with your child!

this app cases a lot of distrust :(

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp as well as life360 has caused so much problems in my families life. i’m a 15 year old girl, i don’t send nudes i’m not like that kinda kid, i never did anything wrong for my mother to track me with SaferKidTextMonitoringApp. but one day she put this, screentime, & life360 to my phone. all
of it is just ridiculous.
teenage years are supposed to be the best years of your life. these apps just invade your privacy like 100%. most people say “oh teens don’t need privacy” YES WE DO. everyone needs privacy and not just when you go to the bathroom.
these apps ruin teen years. most of us kids aren’t gonna be like our parents and make mistakes like they did. i didn’t even get a chance to make mistakes, i more than likely wouldn’t have anyways.
study shows that kids who made mistakes and learned from them have had a more successful life than kids who’s parents shoved rules down their throats and never even had a chance to learn a lesson.
i just feel like these apps make kids feel like parents don’t trust us. we are kids, we are gonna make mistakes. we aren’t picture perfect paintings that never do anything wrong. let us live our lives and be teens.

Unreliable and inconsistent monitoring

I really had high hopes SaferKidTextMonitoringApp was what I needed for safe monitoring and limits. unfortunately it was a waste of $200. It is very difficult and time consuming to set up, once that was finally accomplished I felt good about the updates and imports, however after a few months of monitoring I started to notice the import is inconsistent. It isn’t reliable many of the messages I send my sons don’t ever go through on SaferKidTextMonitoringApp , so I’m sure I’m missing much of the anticipated monitoring that I paid for. Most of the monitoring SaferKidTextMonitoringApp claims to be useful for, you can accomplish through iCloud and screen time limits through your phone. I’m really disappointed in this, especially for the price.

Crap Service, Customer Service and customer care

No phone number to contact directly, get run in circles with their prompts with their app for billing and technical service. When you try cancelling the subscription you get run in more circles. After cancelling and expiration of subscription, I was billed for subscription and tried cancelling, I was prompted to cancel auto payment which prompted me to renew subscription. Because I cancelled previously and subscription expired I cannot access my account. There is no technical support except email and they only work during the week. If you are lucky to get a response it turns into DYI though you are paying a premium for the subscription. Even after cancelling and subscription expired they accessed my bank account. This is a huge problem. They are not transparent. K2bmaryellen

A must for parents

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is a MUST HAVE app for parents with children who have electronic devices. SaferKid allows you to read your child's text messages, see their web browsing history and activity on social netowrks – Instagram, Kik, and others. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Premium subscription is well worth it, SaferKidTextMonitoringApp itself is simple and effective. Customer service, the times I’ve need it, has been fast to respond and helpful.
I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend SaferKidTextMonitoringApp to all of my neighborhood parents and they can also benefit from SaferKidTextMonitoringApp

Installation is Difficult

Thus far I’m on day three of the seven day free trial but haven’t been able to utilize all components of SaferKidTextMonitoringApp. I had to try multiple time just to get the kids device to show and get steps for installation. Then when I finally did this the process was halted and I needed to wait 10 more hours before proceeding. Then syncing the multi-factor part took hours and many attempts. Now that I’ve finally got that done now I have to wait yet another 24 hours. At the end of all this I hope it was worth it as I lost a lot of unreplacable time. It has been so difficult that I couldn’t help but write this review so that users are aware and prepared to spend a lot of time to configure the service and note the fact that it takes days before you can use all the features. 7 day free trial? Ha!

It’s not working

First of all it took a very long time to setup- the process was incredibly confusing. When it finally did setup it did one initial import and MOST of the text messages came through during the import but not all. If it did work correctly, it is not real time information. Now, it’s been setup for just under 24 hours and every time I check SaferKidTextMonitoringApp it says “74 minutes until next import” or “62 minutes until import is complete” BUT nothing is actually importing or updating. NOTHING has updated since the initial import. And yes, there have been other text messages sent and received because I’ve checked my son’s phone. I am so glad I had the free trial so I could see that it’s not working BEFORE spending money on monitoring that does not work. I am so disappointed.

App works well

I was hesitant about spending so much on an app but by comparison to other apps I’ve tried this one gives me the most control and ability to see her phone and online activity. My daughter is a good kid and she has a fairly good head on her shoulders but watching her gave me confirmation that she isn’t mature enough to navigate things like social media and the internet unsupervised.
Ive surrendered to the fact she needs her own phone but everything else that is available can be dangerous and SaferKidTextMonitoringApp gives me the ability to keep her safe

Seems like a good idea but didn’t work for us

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp seemed like a good idea, so I downloaded the free trail. The set up is lengthy and complex if you aren’t tech-savvy. It requires you to have iCloud and the child’s phone be backed up daily on iCloud. My child’s phone said it could be backed up on iCloud. After a week of paying for more iCloud storage, trying to backup on the cloud, we had no success. Because we couldn’t get the phone to backup to iCloud, SaferKidTextMonitoringApp was useless and we cancelled. I also understand that if the child just turns off their iCloud backup or if the phone doesn’t back up for some reason, you’re not going to ever get the text activity. Again, useless!
If they can come up with a way to do this without iCloud backups, I would consider purchasing it.

Perfect app for Parental Control on your Kids Gadgets

Highly recommended for parents who are concerned about your kids screen time on their gadgets. SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is a perfect solution to this problem; you can set timeframes when your kids can use it. At other times, the gadget becomes a paper weight until the next time window when you've given permission again. No chasing or nagging your kids with how much time they are spending on their gadgets... it’s all now in your control. The best part is that now I understand which apps I should really be concerned about. Some games are way worse than others, even though they all look the same to me!

Not so discreet monitoring

Part of parenting is being ahead of ball before it crushes you. SaferKidTextMonitoringApp isn’t very discreet. Your children will know you are monitoring their phones Therefore, for those of us whose children don’t carry a halo, it gives them a heads up when parents are on their trails.

I installed SaferKidTextMonitoringApp last night thinking it’d be good to go soon after, that is not the case. You have to wait 12 hrs after installation to see a report and even now I can’t see it because I have to finish installation even though I thought I did it last night when I downloaded SaferKidTextMonitoringApp and applied the settings on my kid’s phone. I’m hoping to finish installation today and being able to fully review SaferKidTextMonitoringApp.

Update: I finally got it installed after many tries but, now I’ll have to wait another 24 hrs for the SaferText to run a report.

Final update: The install somehow did not work today and I was prompted to do it again today. It was just as frustrating as it was yesterday and now I’ll have to wait ANOTHER 24 hrs for SaferText. It’s taken almost three days and I still can’t access the data. I’m over it. No thanks.

The app should do what is advertised or nothing at all.

I downloaded SaferKidTextMonitoringApp (which took an eternity to set up) for the free 7-day trial. Upon the 6th day my account was charged) $140. I’ve attempted to get a refund for the last 2 days and I’ve only been given minimal help on how to do so since it is a third party payment or processed thru Apple. I do not want SaferKidTextMonitoringApp, and I want my money refunded ASAP! As soon as I am able to do so, I’ll be deleting it from both my and my sons phone.
SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is not as inclusive as it portrays itself to be. I’m not able to see into the apps on my sons phone as advertised- it’s pretty much pointless and was a waste of the time spent on setting it up. Which was almost full day - how is that day of set up not factored into that “7 day free trial” ?🙄

By

Terribly expensive for what it offers.

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp is extremely expensive for the limited experience it’s able to offer. Apple restrictions or not SaferKidTextMonitoringApp should be priced more appropriate. You’re basically giving them the child’s iCloud account and all you’re able to do is get much delayed information on texts and web browsing. Quite simply, Apple allows restrictions on the phone itself with screen time for free. If you don’t want them downloading mature content, block it from within the phone. The only beneficial thing I see here are the ability to read texts and browsing history but if the child is able to download other texting apps, you will not see the conversation history. This ain’t it chief.

Started out great....now doesn’t work right at all.

Initially SaferKidTextMonitoringApp worked great and as described, however since Apple did its last upgrade it is terrible. They have now offered me SaferKidTextMonitoringApp for free for a lifetime? Great but if it can’t be fixed what’s the point? They have sent me emails suggesting directions to fix that don’t work and it takes 1-2 days for a response and there isn’t a readily available number to contact them. When I awoke this morning, it yet again was not working, not turning our son’s phone on per the schedule and then locked me out of SaferKidTextMonitoringApp . It would not accept my password and then when I clicked on send me an email to reset password an error popped up. So frustrated, wanted to continue to love SaferKidTextMonitoringApp.

It’s got its issues

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp worked great at first. Then gradually over time I began getting fewer and fewer texts from my child’s phone, then SaferKidTextMonitoringApp monitoring and parent superpowers areas began to quit working regularly. I’d have to keep getting my child’s phone and resetting everything, only to discover, in the end, that she had been able to download snap chat and instagram MONTHS prior and I got zero alerts from the saferkid app nor did it show up on the “apps of concern” section of the saferkid app. I contacted the company several times about the lack of text monitoring I was able to do from SaferKidTextMonitoringApp and they could never a come up with a solid solution. Yet I was charged $15/month for monitoring services I was not getting for MONTHS!

Don’t waste your time and money

SaferKidTextMonitoringApp works just fine during the trial period. I’ve had SaferKidTextMonitoringApp for two months now. After that, and you are billed all data will not sync. Messages will come up and say that there is new data on the child’s phone available to review.
If you click on it, SaferKidTextMonitoringApp freezes and crashes. If you choose to not click on it, and just tap on the icon and go in that way to review the new content, nothing new will be there, aside from the sync timer. If you try to uninstall and reinstall, you’ll be lucky if you get any data for the current week. Don’t bother with tech support, they take forever to get back to you and resolve nothing. Waste of time don’t bother.

SaferKid does not work as advertised. It is very confusing to install and then doesn’t work after about a week. It says I’m not connected even though I keep signing in with the correct log in credentials. It does not update very often and when it does, it doesn’t upload everything as advertised.

I need a refund immediately.. I need to cancel as well . SaferKid app doesn’t work after trial time ends. It freezes on Home Screen and doesn’t report any activity .

I need to speak with someone asap as I was charged for this app yet have never used it!!!!!
