While the physical product is up to Mont Blanc standards MontblancHub isn’t. MontblancHub foes s good job capturing text if you print neatly. It is more of a tool to get a digital copy without having to scan pages than a handwriting to text device unless you are careful to write or print clearly. The reason for the one star is its reliability. If it fails to properly transfer a document there is no way to get if to resend. It is a one shot deal. I have documents where a page is missing from the transfer which means i have to scan the page anyway.
Have to say, am highly disappointed. MontblancHub crashes…and crashes….and crashes. Does not connect to the cloud, does not upload any notes. For a luxury brand/item, the technology should be spot on. It is not. Concept is great, but it is a shame that this has turned into nothing more than an expensive notebook. Needs to be fixed.
When I bought the device, the iOS software included automatic cloud sync to the Wacom service. Then they removed that and have not replaced it.
All my emails have been ignored. So, the service is lousy.
For a $1000 device, you should not lose features over time. It’s Montblanc, so you are paying for the brand and not the features or service!
MontblancHub, which is the whole point of augmented paper, didn’t work at first that great and now just shuts down and crashes within 20 seconds.
Expected much more with a name like Montblanc behind it.
Should never buy 1.0 products but thought this had promise. issues uploading docs and slow app generally.
Amazing App and product!!!
A rather buggy app...
- conversion to text produce empty page one out of two attempt
- classification of sheets is useless (can't group things, can't search, can't reuse labels)
- exporting document is slow and need 3 to 4 clicks every times (forget settings each time)
- importing documents through Bluetooth is REALLY slow
- can't use the physical device with multiple phone / iPad
- No online synchronisation
Disappointed. More work to do before it fits minimum requirements...
Two clicks to export from home page, should be one click from any page, even inside a note. Also all my characters are connected, even though they shouldnt be.
MontblancHub crashes on iPhone each time after loaded for 20 seconds.
After multiple call to customer service and emails. I finally figured out the problem: the Inkspace Cloud made too many copies of the same note, and it went into an endless loop whenever it synced. Then crashed.
If uninstall and do NOT connect to the inkspace, it doesn’t crash.
I hope this problem can be fixed.
Options such as Lined/Graph paper would be great to have.
MontblancHub is designed to use with Montblanc's augmented paper notebook. Great product, make your notes electronic with a simple click. Highly recommend. They should have MontblancHub developed for windows user too.
Works perfectly and is very precise recording notes. With more features enabled this would be the best app
