DSNYInfo serves it purpose to notify when your regular trash pickup is scheduled and has a calendar that lists events.
It should be more. I wanted to drop off electronics at drop off site and couldn’t determine when I would be allowed. If you want to be a scheduling app you need to be able display schedules for uncommon events also. The five star was to get someone’s attention. Please redesign app so that it is more informative.

It said garbage only, told all my neighbors about the DSNY app I follow and how it says ONLY garbage and no recycling. We all took our recycling back in. Two days later, (1 day after DSNYInfo said it would pick up only garbage) they came and only picked up recycling! It wasn’t until 4 days later, after it said garbage only, that they finally picked up the garbage.

For lack of a better word, DSNYInfo is TRASH. Initially DSNYInfo worked great and I could refer to it when I needed to dispose of something I was unsure of, but lately, when I click DSNYInfo it just closes and goes to my home screen. I deleted and reinstalled, but the same thing keeps happening.
I still get notifications of when I should put my garbage out, but that is the extent of the usability of DSNYInfo.
Please fix it!

Only a government employee would build a application where the foreground text to select the borough is the same as the background color so you can’t see what you selected. The application can’t find a major address in Staten Island. The application is not aware that location services are in smart phone and it should tap
Into that api. They should get a few high school students to rebuild the application

Used to work fine. Now immediately crashes when opened.

DSNYInfo reported that garbage and recycling pickup was cancelled for the election day NYC holiday and garbage pickup would be on Wednesday. I believed them and didn’t put anything out. Wrong! Normal pickups were made on election day. I found out too late that the website reported the correct info but not DSNYInfo . I just got an alert that my pickup is tomorrow, the day after election day. We will see if they come two days in a row.

DSNYInfo is good in letting you know when trash and recycles pickup are scheduled however, I would like to see better updates during snow storms or Emergency situations. There isn’t any information about delays or suspensions. Trash/recyclables just sits on street for weeks.

When I first downloaded DSNYInfo it worked fine. I have not been able to get into it at all..it goes right back to my home screen. I deleted it and then I downloaded it again and it does the same thing. I’ve done this over and over and I can’t get into it and now I cannot get rid of it completely.

DSNYInfo was perfect when i first downloaded it; now when i click into it, it immediately closes out. I have tried to delete it and download it again with no luck. Until this issue gets fixed there is no point in having DSNYInfo . Hopefully it gets fixed soon 🤞🏼

Just moved to a new neighborhood, and I have DSNYInfo give me reminders for when I need to take things out. Great way to stay on top of those things!

Worked great for about a week, now crashes immediately when I try to open it. Deleted app, reinstalled, and was able to get to the part when I add my street and borough, then... crash again and won’t open

DSNYInfo crashes right away after trying to launch. Environment: iPhone 11 Pro Max, Software version 13.5.1
To make sure it’s not a device problem, the bug was reproduced on iPhone 6 s Plus, version 13.4.1. Result is the same. DSNYInfo crashes after trying to launch it.

Was buggy before, now it crashes on launch, and push notifications don’t work (which was the entire use case for me). Sorry, but a little maintenance / care goes a long way. I could build a better app in 1-2 days time.

I wasn’t born in NY but when I finally started living here, DSNYInfo was helpful to me. Thank you.

Useless if alerts aren't working. I don’t need to know every single week when they will pick up the trash and recycle over and over again. I need to know when things change like during a storm via alerts

Waste of my time. Downloaded DSNYInfo on my brand new 11 pro to find out about garbage collection dates and time for my address. DSNYInfo crashes every time I put my address in to find out the dates. The DSNY site is vague as it shows dates but no time. Not useful. Please look into this.

E wry time I open it it automatically shuts off. Have tried to reinstall but it still occurs.

I have an iPhone 11 and DSNYInfo crashes immediately after I enter my address and try to get information. I tried reboooting my iPhone 11 and uninstalling and the reinstalling DSNYInfo with the same outcome. DSNYInfo needs an update patch.

Crashes on launch, after tantalizingly displaying an info screen for a fraction of a second. If this is related to back-end data changes in the DSNY feed it's unacceptably bad original programming. If it's changes to iOS, it's unacceptably bad technical maintenance.

I am very happy to have DSNYInfo. It’s very useful and it helps to keep me aware of when my recycles and garbage will be collected by sending me a notification. But there’s more to DSNYInfo than that. There are resources which advise you how and where to donate the things you no longer need, which is a great way to help protect the environment.
DSNYInfo also keeps me connected to my neighborhood resources; it’s very informative. I’m very glad to have it and it works great on my iPhone! Thanks from the bottom of my Heart!

DSNYInfo is completely useless as one review once said, it has more information about free giveaways than residential pick up times, if you want more Info about pick up dates, go to their website. Deleting DSNYInfo in a few seconds.

DSNYInfo could be great. Instead, every time it updates, it forgets where I live and stops reminding me about trash pick up.
