Earthquake Tsunami Pro Reviews

Earlier today there was a 7.9 earthquake in Kodiak Alaska, and a tsunami warning was issued for Alaska and BC, and a warning for CA, OR, & WA. I live in coastal CA and am very concerned about the possibility of tsunami, to the point of having nightmares frequently. I bought EarthquakeTsunamiPro for peace of mind and to prepare, because every second counts if you need to evacuate.

However, it's been hours since the quake, the tsunami watch has been canceled, and I NEVER received an alert from EarthquakeTsunamiPro , despite having notifications set up for that very purpose! My weather app was actually what alerted me, an app that I didn't even get for that reason! I went into the tsunami tab on EarthquakeTsunamiPro when I was first alerted, and the watch was still active, and the alert for the west coast wasn't even listed! Only Alaska and Hawaii were on the list. I don't know what kind of algorithms EarthquakeTsunamiPro uses to categorize its "danger levels" of high/medium/low, but they're seriously flawed if they aren't even listing a tsunami watch! However, EarthquakeTsunamiPro lists tsunami "notices" (potentially tsunami-causing earthquake that didn't generate anything) all the time! Why is it cluttering the feed with false alarms while not even listing valid threats?!

I am very angry and disappointed, and am uninstalling EarthquakeTsunamiPro. I will have to find a different way to be alerted if there is a tsunami. I highly recommend that anyone else do the same.

I’ve been using EarthquakeTsunamiPro for a few years now and it’s all what you make of it. It lets you make up the notifications that you want to know about. As in, if you only want to hear and be notified by say the power of 3.0 shakes or bigger the power of any size is up to you. I set mine at anything over 5.0.’s. And the Tsunami end of it is the same. I wish they had something this for Toronto’s. This is a great app. It’s easy to see and maneuver your way around the maps weather it’s the hybrid or satellite map you like better? The thing I like the best is. It’s just simple. Unlike a lot of the other app out there wanting more money.

I have had several earthquake apps living in an earthquake prone area. Earthquake tsunami pro is the very best so far very quick notification and accurate. Great app

I love EarthquakeTsunamiPro. Have told many people of it and they all enjoy it. If in the future you were updating here is a suggestion. I turn my device sideways and EarthquakeTsunamiPro dose not function. But have to go back and restart it and turn the device back vertical and it works perfectly. This would be a great addition especially when using a iPad. Thanks for your time.

I have had several earthquake apps throughout the past years, and this one is my absolute favorite!! I like that I can set the distance and magnitude parameters wherever I want, so I am informed of every earthquake that is rated 4 or stronger! I also would assume that multiple listings of a specific quake would reflect the endurance of how long each quake lasts... I also like the tsunami feature and the news feature!! Great app!!!!

I reside in So California and am within 1/2 mile of 3 fault convergence zones. I’ve utilized EarthquakeTsunamiPro for 4 years and have always been satisfied with its speed and accuracy. Certain EQ apps focus reporting events globally, taking 15-30m to post local events. EarthquakeTsunamiPro posts within 5m any seismic activity in my area, as well as monitoring all of California with accurate alerts that I’ve placed in settings. It’s free, and awesome!

Earthquake part of app is excellent. However, under settings it would be helpful to provide definitions for what “Low”, “Normal” and “High” tsunami levels mean since they do not conform to any other national or international alert levels.

I used to rely on EarthquakeTsunamiPro, but not anymore! I love and work in Hawaii so you can see why this information is important to me. EarthquakeTsunamiPro used to work great, but in the last few weeks, the tsunami portion is nonfunctional. It doesn’t show anything anymore...it’s just blank. I used to only see the earthquakes that fit my settings, but now have every single earthquake showing even though my notifications are set to 6.0 and higher. I contacted support and they said they would fix it, but nothing changed. Don’t waste your time or money on EarthquakeTsunamiPro!

I live in Hawaii where an earthquake anywhere in the Pacific Ocean can cause a tsunami. EarthquakeTsunamiPro lets me know when there has been an earthquake and if there is a threat of tsunami. The setting can be adjusted so you can decide when you want to be alerted. I’ve used EarthquakeTsunamiPro for around 3+ years and it’s the best app of this type that I’ve found. Would highly recommend.

Still not fixed! Every time there is an EQ, EarthquakeTsunamiPro sends me TEN alerts at the same time. REALLY? Fix it!

Hoping they have fixed the TEN (10) EQ alerts that all come in at the same time (see below), I reloaded EarthquakeTsunamiPro a week ago. Guess what.. another TEN identical alerts in a row for the same event. Obviously the developers don't read their reviews. So. Same 1 Star for you..

I am now deleting EarthquakeTsunamiPro because I am sick and tired of 5-10+ alerts in a row for the same event! I have contacted the developer and received zero response as to a resolution. Do not buy EarthquakeTsunamiPro, it's not worth the trouble of cleaning up the pages of alerts

Update: Review of EarthquakeTsunamiPro has now been lowered to one star. I am tired of getting between 6 -15 identical alerts for the exact same event all at the same time

Your Choice Notifiers are a vague to a round dot of miles from your location. Rather than your circling what you’d notifiers you would like get to receive.
Then to add insult to your mind space you have advertisements at the top of your home screen for emojis of some sorts??
Otherwise it’s seems basic layout. I would like so to sort better. Narrow closet to my location first.. etc... NOT by the Earthquake that has happened most recently. 🤓

We live on a small island in the North Pacific. News is slow to say the least to get to us. This alert system reduces our anxiety especially after an earthquake. We need to know ASAP if a tsunami will be generated. Having EarthquakeTsunamiPro gives me a sense of security.

It works well and I like that you can configure magnitude levels and locations for the push notifications.

I don’t really understand the tsunami level alerts though.

I love EarthquakeTsunamiPro but my only problem is for paying for the pro version there are too many adds. I thought the pro version would get rid of that problem.😩

Good app but compared to other earthquake apps it could be better. Having the tsunami feature is cool so I’m giving 3 stars. The notifications are really good because I do not have to pay. In other earthquake apps you have to pay to get full version, but on EarthquakeTsunamiPro it is free for notifications.

The interface is basic but the information is complete and easy to use.
