Waiver signature screen just spins.

Update: Still doesn’t work properly. We miss out on retail sales because members think they’re properly checking out however the purchase doesn’t actually go through. Better to not use it and have members self checkout in our store by writing down items on paper. Also, ZP has replied to me that there is a Zen Planner Kiosk App available to download, however that doesn’t exist.

Many bugs with the self checkout kiosk. Freezing, server errors, duplicate purchases, missed purchases, unable to look up existing member, etc. Have been in talks with customer support, but no fix yet. Have to discontinue use until there’s a properly functioning app. Extremely disappointed they discontinued the previous kiosk app since it actually worked and now I can’t reinstall.

Does not work on the ipad

Purchases are often unpaid, it’s not clear to clients that payment has not been made.

No retail available for purchase via ZenPlannerStaffApp (just memberships).

And overall, ZenPlanner requires a new password too frequently.

Silver lining: customer service is good

I got this to streamline my business. Terrible. Spent so much time trying to get ZenPlannerStaffApp to work.

Not a great app, as a coach I find myself spending too much time resetting passwords(for which their password requirements are ridiculous for a fitness app) and fumbling with the menu

I switched over to zenplanner after the pricing raises of MINDBODY. I wholeheartedly regret it. The technology is no where near zenplanner and app crashes constantly

Would not recommend

App flips upsidedown when opened. Screen flickers for several seconds when selecting a different class. Sometimes it just simply doesnt work requiring a reset.

This is the worst CRM I have ever used. Just don’t do it. Go use a piece of paper and manually do track your membership, you are better off.

Probably the worst functioning app I’ve ever used. I’ve been told for years it will get better. It’s only gotten worse. The website isn’t much better

ZenPlannerStaffApp continues to let us and our members down weekly. Clearly zenplanner needs to make a major change with their app developer. Literally a problem with this every week. Members complain daily. Would give 0 stars if we could.

Seems like ZenPlannerStaffApp is always down and won’t connect to the server. Happens all the time but it doesn’t feel like the devs have done anything to fix the actual problem

Very unreliable and glitchy, unable to take clients information through the form. Wanted to go digital using ZenPlannerStaffApp in our ipad at the gym but this software is not stable enough to use for it.

Can't check people in, because their not on the eligible list:

1) Open the staff app.
2) Look at a class.
3) Scroll through the students who are eligible to be in that class.
4) Go to a different class on a different day.
5) Different students are eligible to attend that class (even though all students can attend every class).
6) Go back to the first class you looked at - now, only a subset of the students you first saw are now eligible.
7) Force close ZenPlannerStaffApp .
8) Go back to the first class again - all the students are eligible again.

So buggy.

Ive used many different apps similar to this. Wodify, TrueCoach and sugarwod and by far this is the worst one. There’s always some type of issue going on with it and most of the time you can’t even sign in because it won’t connect to server. Highly recommend to avoid this at all cost. I would give this a zero if I could.

This is a horrible application, lots of bugs and crashes. Have to try everything over and over, at this point I don’t even bother using it any longer, use the desktop version instead. Which is also horrible to handle and the software, overall, is BAD.

ZenPlannerStaffApp’s usability is terrible. I’ve already called to complain and for as much as I’m paying to run my gym’s memberships, it should be a top of the line app with no glitches. The usability should include accessing member info that we get through the desktop site. I’m not always stuck at my computer. I’m with members. Checking in people is so slow. So many glitches. This seriously needs a huge update. I wish I could give 0 stars.

I’ve been with ZP for over 2 years. First, let me say that this could be the perfect solution but they keep coming up short on functionality and support.

I was lied to about being grandfathered in to my pricing (it keeps going up). When my prices first starting going up they told me the person. Who said that was no ok get with the company.

Also, the staff app works very poorly on the iPad. (It does work better on iPhone)

They recently made updates the cause it to not work at all on my 2nd gen iPad, with no warning.

The support is pretty lousy, with constant mistakes by people or system “glitches” but I’ve yet hear hear one bit of ownership of said mistakes. It’s like pulling teeth to get a straight answer.

I’m so deeply invested in their system at this point that it would be extremely time consuming to switch to another service. However, I wish I would’ve initially gone with another service. The time may come that I have to bite the bullet and just migrate all of my students to another service.

Don’t walk... run away from zen planner. It’s definitely NOT zen.

Zen planner has many great qualities. I actually like it way more than systems like MindBody and Wodify. They have many options to build memberships and make things way easier than other systems we’ve used for our facility. I would highly recommend them over most operating systems.

Two flaws that need attention and the reason my rating is lower.

The application is updated too often or the updates are often flawed for long periods of time.

For example:
The kiosk in our app to sell items hasn’t worked for months now. We’ve deleted it and re-download and tried different accounts. I’ve had to change back to a paper system...

This, my personal rage creator....
Password changes: How am I supposed to RESET my password every 3 seconds (I think it’s 3 months or so) if I never get the password reset email?! This “feature” to keep my account safe as a coach, is more of a hinderance than it is keeping my information safe. I currently have to call my boss and ask for his login because I can’t get my password changed AGAIN. Password changes... make them YEARLY and get the email fixed so we can actually do it! 💆🏼‍♂️

Solid app for use on the gym floor. Love being able to deal with member issues on the fly.
