Downloaded it and created an account and everything just to be hit with subscriptions and fees. Horrible app. They don’t tell you until AFTER you have set everything up and give your info. Edit no thanks I will just use google image search. Worked just great. And no this does not cost less than my favorite fishing lure. I can use a lure over and over until I lose it from a branch. After a year this would be like throwing away $3 a month for 12 months what’s that $36 just for a fish identifier, when I can just do a quick google image search of my fish picture. Joke and a money hungry pit. I’m good

The reason I’m giving this application a one star is because of bad support. I have paid the premium service and waited a few days to see if it has changed, but unfortunately nothing has changed. I can take a picture to see what species I caught but nothing in the regulations which was the reason I paid the premium service. Very disappointing, I have sent various emails to the developers and haven’t heard back from them. After a few days I paid and verified PayPal with them sending a receipt still can’t get the species regulations. I have verified my location automatically and manually and still nothing. I still get this message “Species may be regulated your area. Please verify your location for correct regulations.” It has cool features but the developers need to fix those bugs and reply to paid customers.

It’s clunky, it’s absolutely way off the mark identifying a salt water tropical as a freshwater lake fish. It doesn’t let you import a photo you’ve taken of your catch it wants to take a photo with FishVerify , buttons are unresponsive. I gave it 10 minutes, and I am highly tech literate, and the frustration and clunkiness made me so angry I cancelled my trial and I’m about to delete FishVerify .

Received special offer via email… cannot access the offer. Oh well…

It’s only getting 4 star because I’ve noticed that some local fish are still missing in my area. Species such as burbot , American eel and longnose gar a few off hand. So seems like they haven’t gotten all yet but it’s something they can easily update.

Two times I’ve seen some offer for a year for $9.99. I would do it however the two times I’ve clicked on the offer notification it takes me to FishVerify and I can no longer see the offer.

It also provides the tide, weather, catch log and stores your license info for quick access.

I have been fishing most of my life but not everyday, I have spent more time with my so. On the water now, and we are catching species I never got to catch so being able to identify them for my son is amazing. And to have the ability to have someone else that is a part of the team to help identify afterwards is amazing a great community I’m happy to be a part of. Keep up the great work!

Loaded App and signed in with Apple ID. Works great. Caught several fish on first time out with FishVerify and it nailed the ID from photo. Even nailed the obscure fish like the Squirrelfish we caught. Didn’t wait for three days - paid for service for a full year...

Looked all over to Id a fish my wife caught. Nothing would Id the fish. I downloaded FishVerify and the imported the picture I took and gave me what fish she caught. I also submitted to the site and they responded with an exact name for the fish. Very impressed with them.

Great site, I am new to fishing on the East coast in Fort Lauderdale. It has been great helping me learn the different species. I caught one that wasn’t identified by FishVerify and used the this app upload. The team emailed me back immediately with the information on what it was. Good quick help!

I’m new to fishing SWF gulf coast.
This is a must have app for someone not familiar with all the species. It is easy, quick and gives regulations. It is also good to verify pictures that I took previously.

I’m going offshore soon and will try it with no cell service

My husband and I fish in an ocean inlet while on vacation several times a year. We catch so many different species of fish that look similar or down right bizarre looking. I decided to purchase FishVerify to properly identify our catch and the area’s regulations. I have been using FishVerify for well over a year and absolutely love it! Before using FishVerify, we were throwing fish back we thought we could not keep. We were wrong! I was initially on the fence about purchasing FishVerify, but very happy that I did. As long as I’m fishing, I will have FishVerify.

If FishVerify doesn’t auto identify your fish and you have to send in the photo to the administrators the response time is very fast. Had a definitive and correct identification emailed to me within just a couple of hours. Definitely a great tool to have.

Could not locate the type of fish we caught, but within minutes after submitting it to the team of “this app”, they were able to provide the name as well as more information about the species. Would highly recommend FishVerify!

I absolutely LOVE FishVerify! It does it all, tells you what kind of fish you caught if you don’t already know. Also keeps licenses organized for quick & easy access. Show weather and tracks fishing route’s! You can even get tips from the pros! I highly recommend FishVerify if you LOVE fishing!

I just downloaded FishVerify when I needed to ID a fish for a friend. In looking around this seems to have everything! The name of the fish is easily found using your camera feature and then you see the specs of the fish. This includes legal limits, sizes, etc. And best of all FishVerify is free! Normally I would expect to pay an annual subscription for all this.

I’ve tried every app available for fishing, and this one is top notch. If you’re like me and can’t remember how to identify every fish in the sea FishVerify is a must have. Not only will it identify but also keeps track of the location and conditions. The year price subscription is definitely one of the most reasonable in FishVerify Store as well.

The this app app is run by a small group of fishermen who work hard to assist anglers. They are quick to respond to submissions FishVerify doesn’t identify. When identifying species, they provide the common and scientific names of the species as well as where they reside with location, depth and habitat details. Thanks to their team for identifying a Spanish Hogfish within 24 hours of the submission.

Great little app for identifying fish other then the main ones I know. Works great. Wish it wasn’t so expensive especially for those who only use for summer months for fishing, but still will use it.

Would love to see an offline version available for those who go fishing in the more remote areas like the BWCA for instance, where cell phone service is non existent.

Seriously, FishVerify is a game changer! I tried the free trial and I was hooked (pun intended)! I had one small issue and messaged support. Didn’t expire today a reply (as my experience with apps in the past) and then less than an hour later - a reply the solved my issue!!

FishVerify is amazing! Snap a photo and BAM! - Crazy looking fish is identified! Not to mention it gives you the regulations, edibility rating and additional info. So amazing.

I’m now a subscriber and have zero regrets! Get. This. App!

Ignore those negative reviews, they must be written by jealous competitors. As a Novice angler and new to the area my local tackle store suggested I download this app since it was the only app that let me know what I caught and the rules on how big and how many fish we could legally keep. Every fish (16 different species) we scanned came back perfect. Kudos to the this app team as they made FishVerify so easy to use that anyone with basic fishing skills can look like a seasoned angler.

Have used this for at least two years. Use this constantly while out. Not only identifies but also keeps be up to date on limits and sizes. One of the most useful apps I have. Recommend it to anyone who is fishing.
