RoadCam it self is useless but the camera actually works good. I was in an accident and the camera caught it all and in good quality but RoadCam was useless. Couldn’t connect to show police. Had to take it home and put SD card in laptop to download the video to then send to police and insurance company. The whole reason I bought this camera with app was to be able to connect with phone and have no issues after accident or witnessing another accident. I would recommend getting different well known camera that is meant to to only with RoadCam .

Completely useless app, and being so useless, why does RoadCam ask for information about the user? Could it be that RoadCam is only for collecting your personal information to be used for alternative reasons/purposes? After all, the country behind RoadCam and camera are know for dastardly actions. Do not install RoadCam, it is simply useless and worthless. If you purchased the dash cam, consider returning it for a refund, and purchasing a model made in the USA. It was a good attempt, but, if RoadCam is useless, the instructions are grammatically in correct and not understandable in many areas, and the dash cam has a pretty picture...I’d be better off with a cassette tape recorder and a camera with a flash cube. You have been forewarned...

I feel like I was scammed buying this camera that uses RoadCam. I specifically purchased this camera because of the feature that you can view it on RoadCam. The camera never links my camera to RoadCam. Wish I could rate it 0 stars.

Fails every time when trying to preview. Fails to play any of the recorded videos. Downloads the videos then they’re no-where to be found on the iPad. Doesn’t automatically sync the time.

Both terrible apps I have only been successful once with video recording and the camera does what it wants to with RoadCam! Voice control does not work either. Ripoff product and app

I, like other reviewers, bought the Campark V30 action cam BEFORE I checked out RoadCam ...big mistake. I can make a wifi connection between my iPhone and the camera but the camera drops it within seconds. I’ve done resets and read reviews for RoadCam to no avail. The primary reason I bought this model is that I wanted to be able to mount it on an 8’ pole to view gamefish under a dock. The wifi connection doesn’t hold long enough for me to even start moving the pole/camera. Like others, I have to wonder what the real purpose of RoadCam is...to collect personal and location information? It’s clearly not an app designed for functionality and user experience. I’ll be returning the camera and deleting RoadCam .

So far … I’ve had it for a while now and till this day I feel this camera was a waste of my money….

I think instead of WiFi they should Bluetooth it first because using WiFi function on device is not working out like advertised. Also device should connect to your own network not have u connect solely to its single signal. App keeps crashing

This was my first dash cam and I bought it almost a year ago now. Although the video could be better and I wish I had the option to change the 4K to 24fps instead of 25fps but I can live with that. I also wish RoadCam gave you more options to adjust in the cameras but you are limited compared to the other dash cam cameras I have. Would I buy it again yes.

I’ve had success syncing with the cam and viewing the videos on my phone. I’m unable to trim the videos without saving them to the phone. And once they’re saved and trimmed, there is no way to save them to the camera roll. It appears that the only options are to send through a variety of apps, none of which are particularly useful. Please add the ability to save video to the camera roll.

Does what it’s supposed to. I guess I don’t really need any crazy features to just get footage off my dash cam, so RoadCam is fine. Fix the English a little and make clearer instructions though

Works ok. Got me through in a minor accident. Playback shows video of course but also gps mapping of your drive ,speed,etc. only thing I wish more pride were taken in RoadCam ! Seems very simple, to be compromised i mean

I’m not sure why people are having issues. I connected right to my iPad / iPhone with no issues. They may have updated RoadCam since they used it. Transferring via WiFi is a little slow as expected. It is much faster transferring it directly to a computer via a USB cable. As with any app you do need to use it a few times to get use to the settings.

To get it connected you have to stop recording on the dash cam and put it into Wi-Fi mode. Then when it’s in Wi-Fi mode it’s acting like a router so you go to your phones Wi-Fi settings and find it and connect to it. Once you’re connected to it, you open RoadCam and click “add recorder“ if it’s not already there. I guess the point of RoadCam is to review the videos and edit or save them to your phone or delete them and stuff. It serves it’s purpose without any issues. I guess people just wanted more functionality or something. I could see people being pissy that you can’t be connected to it and it be recording at the same time but you shouldn’t be messing with it while driving anyways.

RoadCam works fine for me. Being a gadget and techie person, I have no problem manipulating the screen (camera wifi icon and phone wifi connection) to get to my videos and download them. The download time is very slow though (5-10 mins per 4K file).

For the most part it is completely useless but the developer doesn’t allow you to sync with anything else so you are stuck with this catastrophe if you need to connect while mobile. Go figure, after all it is a dash cam. Like i said. USELESS! Save yourself the aggravation and buy a the cam from someone who takes pride in their product.

RoadCam isn’t very user friendly, and when I try to view my video footage or snapshots, I get the spinning wheel of nightmares with no files appearing-I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max. What good is a bodycam if I can’t go back and view the footage?! I’ve read other reviews on RoadCam with the same problem and it looks as if the developer just couldn’t care less because some are from a year ago. FIX THIS!

“ RoadCam’s summary rating was recently recent” tells me all I need to know. Devs only reset the ratings to hide that their app is getting poor reviews. I downloaded it for my dashcam and I already uninstalled it in less than 10 minutes due to it giving off sketchy vibes. DO NOT put your personal information on RoadCam. You are better off just transferring the footage straight from your SD card into your computer. You’ve been warned.

You're better off just using your SD card to transfer videos. RoadCam lacks most basic features that you would expect. It's not even worth listing all the problems. It basically doesn't do anything right. I totally should have expected that knowing it was a Chinese app. Again, it's not worth your time.

RoadCam wanted access to all items my network, Why?

Needs to be able to allowed to share WiFi with home WiFi or set it up when ur at home to just ur home network so ur not always using data 24/7 it’s just an update in RoadCam that needs to be completed

RoadCam connects with the camera easily. However preview function fails. Viewing clips used to work in last version but current version (2.6.5) no longer works with IOS. Clips can be downloaded though and viewed in Photos app.

RoadCam found the camera but it’s keep loading and loading but won’t open the picture.

RoadCam is pretty basic but does what it is suppose to do. I would like the developer to add or enable a split screen functionality to RoadCam. It would be pretty nice to split the screen on my iPad between the camera and my gimbal. Then I can see and move the camera at the same time.

RoadCam is great, but I need to get a few bugs fixed. The bug that is really annoying is that every time I go to the downloaded file it kicks me off of RoadCam , that’s about all. Please get to this devs!

I read a review where the guy called this a lousy app but it was obvious that he didn’t own the camera. He expected his phone to do everything. RoadCam works fine.

Go to settings and look for the this app app , click on it. Now turn off the cellular data and you’re cam should connect easily. App shouldn’t need the use of cellular when it’s getting it directly from the dash cams network.

Don’t buy camera that work with roadcam !!! Doesn’t working
