Unless you plan on paying for this never ever except their request to download it. It’s not just that there’s ads there are TONS of visual ads and there are audible and they play EVERY time when you want them to play your recording you have to listen to an ad at the beginning and the end of your short recording it’s incredibly stressful. And forget using it in a business situation. This is so obnoxious. If someone knows how to revert to the original AudioNote Please let me know. But they push this so hard and make it difficult not to switch to this so I’m not hopeful.

I downloaded AudioNote2 hoping to be able to record meetings held via phone. Every time I would try to use audio not on my phone to record a call, audio note2 would stop working and give me a massage saying audio note was interrupted. There must be some kind of conflict if you are trying to AudioNote2 to record a call on the same device. It works great for recording a conversation and take notes. There may be some utility in recording meetings when everyone is in the same room or you have another phone that has a speaker function

I have LOVED AudioNote2 and it’s predecessor AudioNote until recently. I think an update is necessary. I can no longer trim the audio, and the air drop from iPad to my MacBook no longer works. My MacBook recognizes my iPad but my iPad won’t recognize my MacBook in AudioNote2. I use this to record lectures in grad school and take notes. It is very handy for this. Please fix audio trim and air drop functions! I will re-rate AudioNote2 , if you do. Thanks.

I am disappointed with the new version. Actually paid for it, but have commercial advertisement in my version. I paid for it. Also, I am trying to get rid of the ads, but there are no options under setting to upgrade to get rid of it. Finally, the customer service is horrible for a company that hides behind help chat rather than have people you can connect with to possibly, increase their sales.

When not recording audio, one has the option to place a timestamp along the left margin. After a full day of taking notes with all of the times tracked along the left-hand margin, I was unable to maintain these timestamps when exporting to other applications or to a PDF. Moreover, when I tried playing with the settings to have this done, AudioNote2 wound up changing the time to the then current time for the entire day does losing all of my time stamps for the notes I had taken that day. This is even a problem when opening with the Mac OS version from the iPad version. To make matters worse, customer support did not respond to my concerns.

I really like AudioNote! Use it in almost every meeting I attend. Problem is I have A LOT of recordings in the previous version that Audio Note 2 won’t seem to access because they are on my phone directly not iCloud or Drop box. Could I move all of my existing file to Dropbox? Yes, but I’d like not to HAVE TO. Don’t see why it can’t just offer option to access folders on my phone as well. If I am wrong about this, would love to know how I can get it to work...then would change my rating to 5.,:)

I was introduced to AudioNote a few years ago, and it is a great tool for college students. However, after about a month of using it, it freezes if I try to do anything off the screen that opens. I have tried offloading files and uninstalling so I don’t lose them, but it only works for a few days and then starts doing the same thing. Very challenging to use when I want to record lectures and I have to have all my classes on the same page , because it will freeze if I open a new sheet. I cannot open any saved files. Literally if I press anything off whatever it opens to, it will freeze. I have the paid version also. Please fix this annoying glitch. I want to continue to use it but it’s kinda pointless if it doesn’t really work.

There is no way to ask a question or submit a support ticket.
The new version is having problems with dark background, text and paper color. Also, there is no way to force a save to Dropbox after making changes. This is the iOS v2 app

The recording and note taking with synchronization are worthy of three stars ... BUT the file management and lookup are worth exactly ZERO. Wow, I don’t know who came up with that but it's very sad. I have used AudioNote2 for years. Used it when listening to doctors discuss my daughters cancer treatments. I would recommend it for limited needs but if you record much you will not be able to manage those recordings and find them when you need them.

Love AudioNote2 so far. Everything else works good with typing, except it said it would be ads free after I sign up. Still showing ads. It cracked all my hand writing together if I took note with handwriting/drawing instead of typing. Drawing when it was misting typing was fine. Still love it.

It is a decent and good app for audio notes. I hope they add a feature to put different audio notes in different folders for better organization.

AudioNote is an amazing app.

AudioNote 2 is not worth going to a monthly subscription fee for just the text size enhancement.

My old pro version of AudioNote had a one time payment and works just fine without the annoying ads and the monthly subscription fee. Why would I want this upgrade?

When I take a picture while using AudioNote2 , I want it to be automatically added with the time taken factored into the location within the audio note.

Right now it takes too many clicks to add the picture.

I wrote a critical review a few days ago after AudioNote2 stopped working properly on my iPad Pro. With an update this week, it works again. I have always really liked AudioNote2, and now I am able to use it again without problems. Thanks! Hopefully this revised review will replace my previous negative one.

After playing with AudioNote2 for a few hours with a Bluetooth laser keyboard and my iPhone ... I like AudioNote2 .

Now, I need to try it in the real world.

Need to test how to transfer files and use it on a windows computer after I took notes on my iPhone ... time for more testing :-)

Light weight yet powerful. Love it. The only inconvenience is that some buttons are too close to each other, I meant to choose one,but often end up touch the other. And my fingers are not very big. I am a woman. If a man, a fat guy download AudioNote2, just imagine!

As an attorney I have been using AudioNote2 for several years. I use AudioNote2 frequently and rank it in my top 5 “must have” apps! I use it during depositions and other meetings to record and take notes on. (*Approval is obtained before making any recording.)

AudioNote2 allows me to listen more and take less notes. I type in key words when using it. Upon playback if I want to listen to a particular section I just tap the keyword and the recording goes immediately to that part. You can also edit your notes afterwards by typing in more information during playback. The added/edited words can also be tapped during playback to go to that section of playback as long as you type during the playback.

The audio pickup is very good as well. I had initially debated about whether to purchase an external mic, but I have found it is not needed for the most part as I only use this for my personal notes.

Syncing with iCloud and Dropbox are simple, but I do wish they would add a sync for Microsoft Onedrive.

Overall, I would highly recommend AudioNote2 to any student, if the professor allows it, or professional that needs to record and take notes simultaneously. One reviewer cited a negative of not being able to record a telephone conversation from the same device running AudioNote2. This is not a problem with the developer. The microphone on the device can only be used for one task at a time i.e. - talking on the phone or recording.

Once I figured out the best way of recording a lecture, this was the best way taking notes.
You title your lecture, and start to record at the beginning of the lecture, and once the subject changes, you just type the subject that is being covered and it creates audio clips for you. This way you don't have to listen to the whole lecture, you just click on the specific word.

Great App. Definitely would recommend it for all students.

Most of my meetings are fast-paced brainstorm sessions with tons of information and ideas flying about. With the computer-based version of AudioNote2, I record everything and just type in the topic being discussed and a keyword or two. Later, I can find precisely the audio I’m looking for and listen to exactly that part of the meeting. It lets me actively participate in meetings without focusing on writing notes – and now I get every detail. Syncing with the phone app makes it even better.

I thought I had already left a review. But overall it is a very good voice recording app, I would have to do research to find out if there is one that’s better. They could make improvements on the trim feature and it would be nice to have one button to re-download all of my voice recordings because when it did a reset and update on AudioNote2 I now have to have Wi-Fi to download a lot of my voice recordings to add stuff to them. I accidentally deleted hours of study on second Samuel because I misunderstood the trim feature and there was no way in the world to get it back. Hours of research and personal Bible study and quite time down the drain because I misunderstood the trim feature. But anyway very good app and I use it every single day. I use it to record my thoughts and ideas and stuff I would like to do one day…
