I love Guilded . I originally started looking into it as a Discord alternative but I found so much more. It offers pretty much everything Discord does plus some, including several features that would be locked behind nitro and more. Now for the nitpicking. The concept of “threads” is often very annoying. I would really like to see some sort of reply system that doesn’t create a new chat room every time. Next up, it’s mildly annoying that everything has to be unique, I wanted a certain name for my server but it was taken. When I went to see who took it, it was an empty server that was created about a month or so prior and had one member (the owner) and only the default #general chatroom. Would be nice if there was a system where if the server wasn’t active for a month, it could lose its custom name. Either that or do away with names being required to be unique entirely. In addition, I’d love to be able to access my camera roll and my albums. Not all of the pictures load in all the time, and if I want to post something older, I have to scroll for several minutes. Lastly, I’m really hoping that all the settings become editable on mobile soon. Ik they will be eventually, but anyone who downloads this should know that they will need to be popping on to the desktop version occasionally. Anyway, looking forward to using Guilded. Has an excellent future ahead of it and I can’t wait!

I left Discord for this app after the last few years of scummy TOS updates and the feature set is far superior. Higher capacity for file uploads, group document editing, a calendar to schedule events, voice and text chats, profile backgrounds, and so many features that Discord either lacked or locked behind a pay wall for their users.

The major upside is the functionality this app has over Discord. The UI is similar enough that moving over is easy and quick to pickup on the minor differences. I greatly appreciate the TOS being less restrictive and less targeted than big tech companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Discord.

I can see myself sticking long term on this app and hopefully they continue improving and refining the platform to make it even better.

I loooove Guilded and personally think that it’s underrated and unappreciated for its greatness BUT there is a huge issue. Constant crashes. On pc it’s not too bad, but on mobile, it crashes *pop* just like that. Leaving a support ticket on Guilded is nigh impossible, as TYPING TOO FAST can crash it. As well as uploading media, sending messages too fast and just BEING IN Guilded . It happens more frequently when you’re in bigger servers. So 2 people? Crashes a lot. 2000 people? DESTROYED. Last time i joined a big server i had to leave it on pc because it was perpetually breaking itself. So, my main point? Fix the CONSTANT crashes on mobile( and some low-end laptops ) and you have yourself an AMAZING app.

Seriously PLEASE fix the crashes i keep getting removed from voice because of them thaaaaanks. Also im on an iPhone 6 running ios 12.4.7.

I have never left a review for any app or product before in my life. But this. This is gold right here. I’ve used discord since it released and I was there to see it blow up . It was meant for gamers, that’s what attracted people to it. But Discord decided to become something else and openly said they do not want to be gaming focused and they took away several features that their users enjoyed. The way to explain this app is that it is what Discord should be but will never be. this app stays true to the original intentions. It is highly optimized, does not drain my battery, very organized for its insane amount of features, and even lets us have custom profiles and all the things I’ve been paying discord for .. but for free! I love these guys and I can’t wait to see Guilded blow up!

If you know WHAT Guilded is supposed to be about, you can see it’s value. Many have mentioned things it needs such as bots (MEE6), other things here and there. Yes it looks like Discord, and so does upcoming Teamspeak 2.0. Why??? Discord is so adopted, you are not going to disrupt what works so you’d need to be stupid to not have it feel familiar. Hell Soldier 76 in Overwatch was designed to feel identical to CoD as they wanted players to use that to feel “at home” in seconds. If your chatting? Sure use Discord, but as the name says...”this app”...meaning for clans/orgs/guilds. I rapidly saw the benefits that were not on Discord, I think there is room for both, the ability to really organize your Organization and connect all. The just closed Series A funding, let them grow some.

Usually I have far more grievances with the mobile version of an app than the desktop version. They’ve gotta take out stuff to make it fit on a mobile screen, and even then they don’t really make it flow “fluidly” like the native mobile apps (snapchat, tiktok, etc).

this app is the exception. Beyond being a better version of Discord, it’s organization of the channel/group/server hierarchy is better on mobile than on desktop. Gestures are (mostly) fully supported, and you get that seamless, flowing feel when using Guilded on mobile. Props to the this app team.

First of all, I though Guilded was just going to be an off-brand version of Discord, but I was TOTALLY incorrect. The amount of extra customizations such as making a date for calendars, whispering to only one other person in the voice chat, finding a server by just searching it up in-app, and so much more, makes it a huge step up from Discord. In addition, you can even choose which video games you want the group to revolve around! Overall, the five stars I’m giving to this app will mostly likely not change for a while, if ever.

Its a newer app and smaller team -theres still some bugs but they are constantly working on them and care about what their community would like. If you have any issues join the support server and let them know they will do their best.

Guilded has good intentions but it’s buggy. It crashes pretty often and when it doesn’t crash, it freezes so you can’t type anything. Another annoying thing in Guilded are the constant nagging notifications about joining this clan or that clan...I should not have to go through a process of tapping on which clans I’m interested in. I wish this could be shut off in settings. It’s seriously annoying. If the developer would spend more time on fixing bugs and fixing the Notifications, it would honestly be a great App. It’s pretty irritating to see 6 Notifications a day that say “this clan is a good fit for you.” I have my own clan and don’t need another! Come on Developers...turn that annoying mess off.

Typically don’t write reviews, but I’m doing so in my belief that this will be the beginning of a great platform for gamers.
Discord, which what I’ve used for years and loved, has started to move in a direction I’m not too happy with.

Features that were locked behind paywalls are immediately known to be free for all users for this app (streaming at full resolution with no cap, larger limits for media sharing, animated emojis anywhere, etc). There are even features Discord don’t even have that I love (separate group channels, forums, built in bots.)

this app (at the time of writing this) is still pretty new, and some features need to have the wrinkles ironed out before they can go fully head-to-head with the blurple giant, which is why I’m slowly transitioning into my new home.

Download this now, try it out for yourself (it’s freeee!). If you’re any form of a gamer, you will definitely love it.

It’s not fair to compare this app to Discord because it’s so much more than Discord. It’s a better place to grow communities than Discord, however, until the mobile experience matches the quality of the desktop experience, I’d hold off going all-in. There are so many missing features and one of the biggest ones for us is the ability for mobile users to join in on meetings from the calendar.

This has caused complications for our group that meets while on the go to organize events for our group.

Push notifications don’t sync with the platform. If I read a notification on desktop or another mobile device, it still makes me see the notification again in Guilded before it clears the notification badge.

There are several other shortcomings, but this review is not comparing this app to Discord. this app has more features. It’s comparing this app to itself on the mobile experience vs the desktop/web experience.

I love the idea where this is going, especially with it having some original ideas and being a popular competitor to discord to people who don’t have access to discord in their region because of safety laws. This is a great app, though it needs refining, and they need to make the GUI more simple for the new users, I figured out discord’s GUI in 5 minutes while it took me 20 to figure out this app’s. Once again, love the idea where this is going and they have my everlasting support.

Like the way everything is organized very much, however some elements of the UI feel a bit cramped to me. Specifically the tabs at the bottom that allow us to switch between servers, DMs, profile, settings, etc. It would be cool if there was a way to minimize that while viewing a channel, that way the bottom of the screen won’t feel so crowded with both the text input box and the bottom tabs.

Overall, this is an extremely small nitpick. I like Guilded, and I especially like the server groups feature.

I’ve been using this platform since January 2021 and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The staff and it’s devs go above and beyond to make sure that any of your needs are being met and that you aren’t going unheard. The tools provided make it easy to keep everything streamlined and provide an atmosphere for success. And this is only the beginning of what’s to come, I cannot wait to see what they do in the future!

When discord release there brand new guidelines that basically made our server a huge hotspot because we like to talk about a lot of military history in our server was at a very high risk of being banned thankfully Guilded allows us to talk about what we feel and allows us the freedom

I’ve loved using this app, but it seems way too similar to Discord in some ways, which has turned off my friends from using it. Having a True Dark Mode would be nice, and maybe more rounded corners in the interface to make it look cleaner. Also, the lack of voice settings on mobile, and even on desktop, is an issue.

App is missing profile editing, and some tooltips for how to do scheduling, but it functions great for all other purposes. Definitely love all of the features that come with the base account. The upload limit being quite sizable is great for sharing videos with friends. The amount of times I needed some tool to show my availability is immeasurable. The scheduling tool is a game changer.

Guilded has a lot of potential, it’s a nice lfg app that you can use to make teams for lots of games or multiple games for one team. Guilded is interesting and has a lot of potential, however I give it two stars due to the amount of bugs, Guilded is very frustrating as it is hard to even finish creating your profile as when you fill out a required blank Guilded freezes and it’s impossible to complete everything you need. However when the bugs are worked out I can see Guilded becoming very popular.

I joined this app a little over a week ago and it was one the best best decisions I’ve made. I was able to transfer over my discord server template very easily. The site/app is so user friendly and there are countless ways to customize your server. I definitely recommend if you’re a streamer and want to make a place for your community.

Discord is being really weird now with regulating what’s on there, so this is a great place to be since it has a really similar structure. I haven’t been on it too long, but I really love it so far. Unlimited emojis are nice as well. I’ll definitely be willing to make a complete transfer later in the future!

I love this app! I’ve only had Guilded for a few days but I can already tell it’s the best way for me to stay connected with all my esports teams and friends to set up scrims and just socialize. I love the interface and it’s very easy to use. Definitely moving all my teams over to this platform. Highly recommend!

I love the concept of Guilded and maybe it’s just my phone. I have an iPhone 6S and I have the hardest time selecting anything on the screen. It literally took me an hour to register my character on the server because I couldn’t type anything in the boxes. I don’t know why it happened; I closed Guilded , reopened it. Removed Guilded and redownloaded it and it STILL has issues registering when I type. I can’t fathom why; for now, I’ll just use the notification part, which I pray works because so far I’m not impressed since I couldn’t fill out my full bio from frustration.

Buttons will not work to continue after typing what I’m looking for in a group or the “submit application” button will also not work. After I click these “submit” buttons, it sits on that screen for a good 2 minutes before it does anything, if it does anything at all. I’ve closed the application many times just to start over because it just freezes after I press submit on anything. This is annoying enough for a 1 Star since I can’t even get to the screens to look for players with this going on

User interface is horrible, Guilded is glitchy both on high-end mobile AND high-end PC, API is hidden unless you ~register~ for access, there’s some very big account and personal security concerns that are still unaddressed (you really expect people to connect third party account info or payment info when you don’t have 2FA optioned? And this has been out for years? Are you KIDDING?)...dev team should’ve stuck to writing bots because they had no business releasing this.

So I just found this yesterday, completely in love. I wasted 3 months of my life creating a website that is barely used, but Discord is used more. This only just makes Discord so much greater than anything! Guilded has everything my team needs to stay in touch on the go!

I’m tryna get off of discord because they have furry team members. Don’t let any of you mod team have furries and also increase the speed for Guilded and allow us to customize our names with any characters we want and allow us to have gifs as profile pictures and banners. If you do all 3 of these things, you will absolutely destroy discord. Then I’ll give you as many 5 stars as you deserve

Guilded is awesome, although it is a little confusing at first. I recommend anyone looking for an app they can organize events in to use it. They also have great feedback after reporting something they got back to me within 24 hours and it was fixed.

Not now, but it’s better by virtue of not being Discord, that and it has high potential. Absolute freedom to emojis, animated and global, everyone of them. Also, chances are that if more people join, the developers will likely put forth more effort into updating this. Get it!

Guilded is really well made and easy to use it’s got all the things from discord and discord nitro and a lot of features that make this make a must have app really enjoyed using it and will for years to come

It’s almost like Discord but better in every way. The interface looks and sounds better than discord does. It also has lots of added features.
