Worst Upgrade to an App EVER

The ‘new’ app should still be in beta testing and not have been released until it was determined to function properly. Unable to change usage views except for individual days - not able to see date range for example. Also does not show energy generation from our solar panels - pop up window says data is missing - we’ve been an APS customer for 3 years so how can data be missing? Another example of promoting an improved app that doesn’t live up to marketing promotion!

Do the developers not use apps?

Anyone who is working on this must not actually use apps because it takes about 5 minutes to realize it doesn’t function properly. Add better user interface and include account information. You send people away to process payments but you can’t even find your account number anywhere on ArizonaPublicService . You encourage people to go paperless but you make it a hassle to do without. The amount of money you charge is already outrageous. Look at the world around you and get with the times and make functional products to take care of the customers you’re already taking advantage of.

APS Needs to Dissolve

Just a notice to all APS customers. You’re being well overcharged for power compared to SRP. APS likes to tout that they’re doing what’s best for AZ and caring about customers. Compared to SRP, they’re a joke. Their rate hikes are baseless, sure they have some “reasons”. Like fuel being too expensive, blah blah blah. Their allocated fuel budget is millions in the red and they need a price adjustment to fix it. Sounds to me like they just intentionally “mis allocate” funds so they can ask for a rate increase.

With SRP I used 17% more power. 11.7% of it was on peak (compared to 9.7% on peak with APS and using less power) and my bill was over 8% LESS with SRP.

Check out the dockets with the AZCC. Send your opinions in. Attend the meetings. Fight APS every step of the way. This for-profit, publicly traded power company is poorly regulated. It’s all about the shareholders. Not the customers.

Oh and for ArizonaPublicService .

ArizonaPublicService is okay, takes a while to load compared to other apps. Usage always has an error and jumps me to “monthly” or “yearly” if I scroll too far left or right.

Cool redesign, but now completely useless

Like the new design. Cool. But useless cause the only reason I would log in to check meter data for last few days. I can only see the data from last month and before. That’s great to understand last month’s bill, but unless I can see current month’s data in monthly view, what’s the point of using an app? Just looking at past bills works just fine to understand past usage. Fix the issue by including this month’s usage for users to look at and I’ll change the rating.

Useless app after update

With the update to ArizonaPublicService , I am no longer able to log in. I initially thought that I had to re-register. I tried to re-register only to get a message that I was already registered. Unable to do anything with ArizonaPublicService . I uninstalled it and re-installed it but no change. Cannot log in. Even the web page is not working properly. I usually get on to check usage.

Update-uninstalled and re-installed one more time. I now can log in. The issue now is that after checking my usage, I cannot go back to the home state. ArizonaPublicService continues to malfunction or there is no mechanism with which to return to the home page.

Absolutely horrible app

New app is step backwards

The pre iOS 13 app wasn’t perfect, but this new version is a huge step backwards. They fixed some of the initial bugs, but trying to review detailed usage has lost a huge amount of functionality from the previous version. For instance, when viewing monthly usage data, you can only look at the last billing cycle (as opposed to recent data, like you could with the old app). Also, the old version you could review hour by hour demand charge for dates as recent as the previous day. This version won’t show anything but what your previous bill says. Absolute garbage.

Full disclosure, I work for APS. I’m ashamed.

APS App Needs More Improvements

First off, I appreciate having ArizonaPublicService to pay my monthly electric bill it is a great convenience when on the go.
But the current app needs some major work. I am unable to schedule my payments in advance, nor am I able to see if the bill was ever paid. The current months amount due seems to roll over to $0.00 due whether you actually paid the bill or not, then when next month’s bill comes due, you then find out that your electric bill has now doubled because your payment did not get processed.
Your monthly payment due should remain on the screen until your payment actually clears online ACH process. You can not access or view your previous monthly payment history which would also help to also determine if your payment cleared. More improvements needed to cover here...

Used this app daily, not anymore

Before the update, you’re able to view the previous day’s usage. Now you have to wait till a new billing cycle takes place to view daily usage. If one of your appliances starts drawing more energy early in a billing cycle for whatever the reason, you won’t know until the next billing cycle. My last bill was about $100 more due to my better half “forgot” to turn off a space heater. I would of known this was going on and saved some money if I was able to view the previous day. Please add this feature back to ArizonaPublicService !!

Disappointing App

I seem to have continuous problems with ArizonaPublicService. I’ve deleted and subsequently re-installed it a number of times because it either locks up while attempting to navigate the site or won’t allow me to view specific personal settings, such as “Auto Pay”. It would also be nice to have the capability to access my usage more than once a month. Perhaps if we were allowed to shop for different (competitive) providers within the service areas, greater emphasis would be placed on providing a more “user friendly” app. Hopefully these issues will be addressed soon...

Did you know

I am a solar customer and when I go into your app to check on my detailed usage it tells me the data is not available until after 8am. I understand this and when I’m in Arizona I wait until 8 am however, when on vacation in Hawaii I should be able to see results at 5am given the 3 hour time difference. This is not the case I have to wait until 8am local time. What’s up?

Tells what you owe and usage

Who else doesn’t just tell you that? Never a failure there. The outage section is the coolest feature here.

A slow loader. Doesn’t tell you if and when they received your payment. Does not except wallet or Apple Pay. Redirects to 3rd party for card payments. Does not allow voice dictating this message. The website has been so much worse in usability since doing their revamp 6 mos ago. Not pleasant tools here.

Okay but needs improvements

ArizonaPublicService itself it’s alright. It’s slow and would benefit from improvements and payment option can use a better system that doesn’t require extra charge and also, withdrawal money faster when payment is manually scheduled instead of holding/waiting for almost a week.

Issue with log in corrected? I think

I was having the same log in issue like the others below and then it sent me to another log in page and after using my log in there I worked fine and seems to redirect it to ArizonaPublicService . Hopefully this helps someone else!

Awesome Service

I never had a problem, an excuse, no inconvenience to transfer the light or to cancel the service. This is a company that others should copy as the customer's life is made easier and they do not get bitter. Many congratulations to one of the best companies if not the best, which has served me with a 5 Star service in all facets. I now live 3,000 miles away from Phoenix but will always remember APS as a 5 Star service company. Thanks team.

Convenient and Easy to Use

ArizonaPublicService is more convenient than having to go the website and it’s very easy to lookup the most important part of my monthly bill like usage and amount due and even easier to schedule a payment.

Great except for..

I would like to see if my area has an outage on ArizonaPublicService. I’ve tried to find it and cannot, usually have to call in and have the automated voice tell me.

Everything other than that works great but that would be a great addition to ArizonaPublicService .

Excellent Customer Service

Had to call customer service regarding my pay arrangement. The representative was so helpful and eased my worry by explaining everything. I was really fortunate to get an amazing person who takes pride in their job and going the extra mile!

Quick and Easy

I really enjoyed the convenience of being able to go online and set up my bill to be paid on the due date that way I don’t forget about it. If you’re like me if I don’t pay something right when I get to Bill, I sometimes forget now my bills are on timeand my payments are too. Recommended SERVICE happy customer.

Diane and budget billing

Diane was very helpful today with helping me with higher payment and reviewing my account and discussing options. As difficult as it is accepting high energy cost having kind Caring customer service does ease the pain. Thank you Dia e for your exceptional service.

Charlene

App issue

ArizonaPublicService sends me to a website to issue payment. The website is zoom out and it blocks the entry bars. I’m not able to make the font smaller or scroll left to enter my payment information. It’s an inconvenience.
