APS Needs to Dissolve

2025-02-28

by Rocket Science Guy

Just a notice to all APS customers. You’re being well overcharged for power compared to SRP. APS likes to tout that they’re doing what’s best for AZ and caring about customers. Compared to SRP, they’re a joke. Their rate hikes are baseless, sure they have some “reasons”. Like fuel being too expensive, blah blah blah. Their allocated fuel budget is millions in the red and they need a price adjustment to fix it. Sounds to me like they just intentionally “mis allocate” funds so they can ask for a rate increase.

With SRP I used 17% more power. 11.7% of it was on peak (compared to 9.7% on peak with APS and using less power) and my bill was over 8% LESS with SRP.

Check out the dockets with the AZCC. Send your opinions in. Attend the meetings. Fight APS every step of the way. This for-profit, publicly traded power company is poorly regulated. It’s all about the shareholders. Not the customers.

Oh and for the app.

The app is okay, takes a while to load compared to other apps. Usage always has an error and jumps me to “monthly” or “yearly” if I scroll too far left or right.

Useless app after update

2025-03-01

by Rnin85

With the update to the app, I am no longer able to log in. I initially thought that I had to re-register. I tried to re-register only to get a message that I was already registered. Unable to do anything with the app. I uninstalled it and re-installed it but no change. Cannot log in. Even the web page is not working properly. I usually get on to check usage.

Update-uninstalled and re-installed one more time. I now can log in. The issue now is that after checking my usage, I cannot go back to the home state. The app continues to malfunction or there is no mechanism with which to return to the home page.

Absolutely horrible app

Do the developers not use apps?

2025-03-02

by Maxhutch102

Anyone who is working on this must not actually use apps because it takes about 5 minutes to realize it doesn’t function properly. Add better user interface and include account information. You send people away to process payments but you can’t even find your account number anywhere on the app. You encourage people to go paperless but you make it a hassle to do without. The amount of money you charge is already outrageous. Look at the world around you and get with the times and make functional products to take care of the customers you’re already taking advantage of.
