Mixed feelings

First I'll start off with the things I like about RNIFlashback which are:
1. The concept is cool that you get unique images each time you use the randomizer
2. There have been great images that have resulted from using Flashback

The cons:
1. I wish there was a way to reduce the strength of the filter outcome on pictures there were times where it was a bit too much for my personal preference
2. I have the iPhone X and RNIFlashback screen size ratio is not compatible at all with my phone there's black borders all around RNIFlashback which is annoying since my whole phone screen could be put to use.

Nice but

Love RNIFlashback. I wish it could be integrated in my Lightroom workflow but a desktop version isn’t available and not sure if it can be integrated with Lr Mobile. Also, some looks are amazing but they are generated once and cannot be saved for application on another photo for a consistent look across a photo shoot. Lack of a saturation slider is an issue. Also the white interface is incredibly straining on the eye, it should be dark like Colibri.

Save presets/recipes

As an avid film shooter I can honestly say that RNI Flashback is the most realistic film app ever made. It's adjustment sliders have really filmic attributes, unlike anything I've seen. For instance, the "highlights" slider actually makes the skin tones look incredibly filmic, to the likes of Kodachrome. It's unique to Flashback. RNI's other apps don't work the same way, nor does professional software like Lightroom. My ONLY complaint is the inability to save "recipes." I spend quite some time clicking through the films, getting the look just right. I'd like to use that same look on multiples photos, but it's impossible. Please add the ability to save presets to this near-perfect app.

Nice filters offered but crashes

I really love all of the filter options but RNIFlashback often crashes and I have to delete it and reinstall it for it to work again. Also, it would be great to be able to save favorites or adjust the strength of the filters.

It’s missing something

It’s a good app that does most of the work for you but it lacks support for some raw files. I also think it needs the ability to export some image created in RNIFlashback to RNI film app, this will allow you to further develop your image..
One major thing it lacks is the ability to save a preset and apply it to other photos (adding favorites do not persist between images).

Cool App but needs update

This is a pretty cool app that does as advertised. However, when I pay for an app, especially as much as I paid for RNIFlashback I expect the developer to do basic updates like optimization for the latest iPhones. The iPhone X has been out now for almost a year and RNIFlashback looks outdated with the black bar at the top and bottom. Honestly, this makes me not want to use or recommend RNIFlashback . Update and I would change to 5 stars.

How about new iPhones?

I have been taking pictures with my old iPhone 6. However, looking to improve the whole result I save to get a new iPhone. This was one of the apps that I download immediately. To my surprise the interface is not yet updated to enjoy the huge screen.
I believe RNIFlashback makes art out of a probably not so well though image taken on whatever moment. This is one of those apps that really educate your eye to keep the pictures looking fantastic. Moreover, it probably will keep you inspired to get out and shoot Really Nice Images.
It will be nice if RNIFlashback gets updated to make the experience nicer on the new huge screens!

Nice filters but…

It would be nice to have the camera built into RNIFlashback . Just snap a picture and apply the random filter. Other then that it adds some nice filters to the snapshots.

Fun, fast, useful

Love RNIFlashback. Perfect for those times when you want something a little grittier / less clean than the full RNI Films app. Only things I would like to see are:
1. Option to save as a modified original, similar to Snapseed and other apps, to avoid creating duplicates each time you edit a pic
2. Control over resolution of saved image, or at least clear indication of whether this saves as full/original res.

can’t save filter options

what RNIFlashback is missing is the ability to save a filter I like, and reuse it. sometimes I like to apply the same filter to multiple photos and I cannot do that with RNIFlashback. PLEASE add that feature then it will be perfect

ATTN: Developer...

I ordinarily never use preset filters, but I fell for your pitch about your unique “film/chemistry randomization” approach, and I’m glad I did. Love it. But now, one suggestion: create a Slideshow mode that cycles through an infinite universe of shot variations. Say with a 5-10 second cycle and continuous dissolve.

Greatest screensaver/wallpaper ever.

As a huge film photography fan, I’m in love.

RNIFlashback is exactly what I’ve been looking for and I was so excited to find it. I absolutely love film, but it can get really expensive, unfortunately. RNIFlashback creates such realistic grain and that special look with different kinds of film that now I can use it with not only my iPhone photos, but also my DSLR photos (that’s how much I love it).

I also love the unexpectedness with the editing. It’s almost like using an instant camera (something I’m also a huge fan of!). I love being able to love an edit and also being able to just click through while RNIFlashback does its thing. I’m very happy I spent the money on this!

Love these apps!

Recently revisited this click-for-random-filter app. Also purchased RNI Colibri. It's fun to see what retro filter will be applied. It can create some beauties!

Power of film processing, in your pocket!

I was finding reliable, easy to use photo editing app for my travels to come.
And with RNIFlashback, I don't think I have to carry a laptop for editing my photos since I can export quality photos using RNIFlashback!
I looks great out of the box but with few tweaks, it's even better.
My traditional workflow was based on Adobe Lightroom on Mac (not the mobile version).
I really liked the RNI Lightroom presets so I thought I would give RNIFlashback a shot.
I also do have collections of VSCO app presets but I'll say goodbye to them ;)

A must HAVE!!!!

I am so happy I found RNIFlashback. I really miss film photography sometimes, but this adds that extra special touch to your images giving it that real film feel. Super easy to use, love that!!!!

Good

Very good. I quite like the ease and simplicity of RNIFlashback. With so many photo apps out there with all the editing freedom you could ask for sometimes it’s just a lot funner to have things be random and simple..

The joy of happenstance

RNIFlashback provides some of the happy accidents that result from shooting with film and using photo chemicals to produce images, while allowing the tweaks we have come to anticipate in digital photo apps. The requests I see to save presets are understandable, but I enjoy the element of surprise when applying these films to my images. Do note: this (to my knowledge) is only for images on your device; it is not a camera. I find that actually to be a plus - just one way to make RNIFlashback more streamlined and intentional in purpose: fun and joy in beauty and surprise.

One word : Amazing

RNIFlashback has given every single one of my photos the best look after use that I can even imagine ! Ever since I got RNIFlashback I have received several compliments on my pictures on Instagram ! Get RNIFlashback it’s great totally worth it! It might take a few tries but once you find the preset you want it’s perfect

Charming

I would like to know more about why the developer finds it necessary to collect linked user content (defined by Apple as:
User Content:

Emails or Text Messages

Photos or Videos

Audio Data

Gameplay Content

Browsing History

Search History

Other user content:

Such as a list of contacts in

the user's phone, address

book, or social graph

Including subject line,

sender, recipients, and

contents of the email or

message

The user's photos or

videos

The user's voice or sound

recordings

Any other user-generated

content )
Aside from that it is a unique and amusing product that gets one away from the sameyness that is the bane of things digital.

Unique and beautiful

I use RNI Films and love it. But I also decided to add RNI Flashback due to the way it developed the final result...Each one being unique and not a preset. Using it has resulted in a look that is truly unique and stunning. I’m getting results that are new to my eye. Both apps have reason for me individually, but I can use them together if a certain photo calls for it. RNI has caught my attention which is not easy. Highly recommend any app they make.

Definitely 5 stars

I use RNIFlashback for all of my editing, and it makes it so easy. All you do is tap until you find filter you like and then you save it. You can tap to see if there are any more but the edits seem as if they are everlasting. RNIFlashback produces awesome edits that truly do look like old school photography. I always get compliments on my editing. I was hesitant of purchasing RNIFlashback but it’s probably some of the best few dollars I’ve spent. If you’re looking for an amazing editing app, RNIFlashback does the job.

Photos the way life works...

I love photography and film, I do it for a living. It truly is as simple as clicking an icon and BAM! RNIFlashback simulates a film look. If you understand it as a tool that can generate ideas for your images then you will love it, and yeah, life kinda works that way... Some of the best photos are moments, mistakes, interruptions and accidental creations.

Features

Unlike any other existing software, Flashback uses real film data and simulates the response of real film layers by light when processing digital colours.

Because Flashback works more like photographic film rather than like digital software.

But some will be just absolutely fabulous, making for film-like colour harmony and colour separation, far beyond what’s achievable in any other piece of software you have ever tried.

So we created RNI Flashback — an app that works like film not like an app.

Unlike other apps, RNI Flashback has no pre-defined filters.
