BOM Weather Status

My BOM app will not update

It asks me to update. I try to, but it says " try later".

The Update drop box does not proceed to Update when clicked and keeps asking me to Retry ...still does not Update.

When I first tap on Rain, the app closes. When I try again, it works.

My BOM screen frozen

When I click on the BoM app the title on the top comes up with Update this app followed by, "This version is no longer supported." Update or visit bom.gov.au When I click on the Update button the screen comes up with " Something went wrong try again". I click the "Try again " button and that's as far as it goes.

I have a "SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 3 (2014) - Model # SM-N9005 - Android Version 5.0" - baseband version N9005XXUGBOJ1. The previous BOM app was working but to enforce the download of the newer app, the access to the rain radar was stopped this week. I decided to upgrade and so deleted the app I was using (cache etc) so as to install the newer app. When trying to install the newer app, I am informed that "this app won't work for your device". What am I doing wrong? It says that the app is good for Android 4.0 and more. Thanking you.

Can not installed BOM app

Just had heavy rain in Narooma NSW yet thers was no rain shown in the 90 minutes before or after on the rain radar. This occurs all the time. If I want to know if there is rain in the forecast I have to go to another app.The old app never failed like this new version does.

BOM weather app won't update as advised on my Samsung phone.

Every time I turn the BOM app on it gives flood warnings etc for Cowley Beach, despite not requiring that info.

As others have reported at different times, I am also experiencing "BOM stopped working. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app but only get the title page, nothing else." This is on that latest version of Android on a Google Pixel phone

No rainfall has been recorded for Crafers SA and the surrounding areas, Crafers West, Stirling or Mount Lofty, for example, since 9 am this morning. We had steady rain during the late morning, all afternoon and into the evening. Why is the app not recording rainfall in that area today? I see most of the other parts of Adelaide have had their rainfall recorded. I uninstalled and reinstalled my BOM app this evening.

I can't get the app update to work on my Android phone. For more than a month now I keep getting the message "something went wrong. Try again".

I keep getting a message to upgrade to the latest app version, but for some reason it doesn't work when attempt to do so. Thank you for a wonderful service!

BOM not showing current temperature

I am using an iPhone 5, I downloaded BOM App and after download, small window opens at bottom of screen stating "Unstable internet connection , Unable to update weather and warnings", the app appears to be continuously searching for connection. A previous update of the BOM app worked a couple of years ago on this iPhone.

App radar not working. Message states........... We can't access rain radar right now, we are working on it.

Started out the app not updating and staying current, I deleted app to download again but can't download from google play store. Am using Samsung s21 fe.

BOM always opens on a previous date (on android phone).

BOM used to be stable. but in the last few months, it does not update when I click it to update quite a few times. It is not a reliable software. Accuweather never miss an update. Please fix the issue.

BOMapp consistently 12 to 24 hours out of date. Needs option to manually update/reload or something!

App not updating weather information.

BOM is not updating on my mobile phone, I hav to turn my phone off and on again for it to update

App starts, but immediately the splash screen jumps up 1 line, header text momentarily turns black, then screen disappears and reverts to previous All Google Apps display. BoM app has been force stopped, data storage and cache cleared. Then location permission has been re-enabled. Still won't progress past the splash screen. BoM app has been uninstalled, Pixel2 restarted and BoM app reinstalled fcrom Google Play. Location permission has been reenabled. Still won't progress past the splash screen. All other apps can access wifi and mobile networks, and run without problems. I've run out of ideas! SYSTEM: Pixel 2XL running Android 11. Google Play system update: 1 August 2021. BoM app is version 5.0.5

Same issue here. App works fine on Galaxy S10, but rain radar only works once and then reports 'We can't access rain radar information'. Every time i need to see rain radar, i have to uninstall and reinstall for it to work just once.

App works properly on my phone, Galaxy S9. On my Galaxy S7 tablet, it is faulty. On first use after reboot, it works, but doesn't clear its cache so the next time you open the app it shows the data from the previous use. I have to close all apps, start BOM, get false data, close all apps again, then open BOM to finally get current data.

Not updating. Very annoying.

The BOM app used to work fine but for the last few weeks has not been updating. It often shows the weather for yesterday or a few days ago.

Samsung A12 phone, always worked, 100% reliable until early April (?) I think, could be earlier. Works once and then stalls on that time, and remains set on 6.00am all day for example. If I restart the phone its ok for another weather report, then stalls again... frustrating? My wife has an iphone and cant download BOM, why? She uses Willy Weather of whatever, but the ads drive her mad. too many!

The.BOM.app has not been working for more than a week now. I live on a small rural property at Tregeagle near Lismore and l do rely on weather predictions.
