No complete nutritional profiles

Nutritional breakdown beyond what is on the label is what I was looking for. (For example, whole foods often contain minerals, vitamins, bioflavonoids, fatty acids etc even though they are not listed on the label.) This is label-only info and nothing more. I am trying to wean off of supplements since they contain dangerous flow agents, and instead make certain my diet is complete without them. A star for appreciation of its being free without ads.

Inaccurate information

The concept for NutritionInfo is great, but unfortunately the nutritional information for many of the items is incorrect. Just simply look up generic oranges and you’ll find out that the calorie breakdown adds up to more than 100% (2% fat, 100% carbs and 8% protein). Other examples: pinto beans are somehow 43% fat, walnuts are 90% fat, 8% carbs and 9% protein (which again adds to more than 100%). Those are just some random things I looked up in the last 5 minutes. The inaccuracies and the variation between items in a search is so wild as to make all the results unreliable (how do I know which ones are right and which ones are wrong?). I hope they can fix this.

Great app, but wrong info

NutritionInfo itself has a great setup, however some of the information is incorrect. I looked up an egg in NutritionInfo and it said it had about 2 grams of trans fat. This seemed incorrect from my understanding of trans (rather than cis) unsaturated fatty acid hydrocarbon tails not occurring naturally in eggs. So I looked it up on google and yeah, eggs do not have trans fat (at all). I’d love to use NutritionInfo, but I need the information to be correct. Thanks though, and there is great potential for NutritionInfo. Let me know if you guys update the database of information, as I would love to use NutritionInfo rather than google search every food item I’m curious about

Great app, but needs a sort feature.

As a Type 1 diabetic for 34 years, I use NutritionInfo to show the number of carbs for restaurants and fast food. NutritionInfo is great, except the info per restaurant is not sortedin anyway. You can search for the restaurant, then the different sizes of say French fries are not grouped together.
If there was a way to sort alphabetically it would be much easier to use.

Best tool for diabetes

How many carb in a McDonald’s Big Mac? Simply enter “McDonald’s Big Mac” go! How about “Spaghetti “? Simply enter it and search. Nothing could be easier. When frequently updated, NutritionInfo has become my greatest asset for diabetes control. It appears to be almost perfect in the simplicity of its operation. My only suggestion is to the food industry - portion size should alway contain weight info. To NutritionInfo author-Fantastic job, brilliant! My only suggestion is provide a way within NutritionInfo to provide feedback, and an app identification page so we can correctly identify NutritionInfo when recommending it

Very nice

This is an awesome app. Amazing that it is free given the amount of effort it took to compile. To those who found a few incorrect items, why not just kindly point that out to the developer instead of complaining. It’s a free app. It’s not a perfect world.

Best App for calorie counting

This is easy to use and delivers the information you want. I haven’t found any food items I was interested in not available with NutritionInfo.

So important and glad to have this information on my phone. I have access to check data and ensure I get the most out of healthy foods and watch for out for unhealthy foods. Thanks!

Quick, easy, accurate

Clear, simple interface without the annoying graphics, unnecessary bells and whistles like other apps. Food item calorie counts are very accurate per USDA criteria. Well done!

Simple and Easy

NutritionInfo is terrific. Love the simplicity; nutrition info without all the other stuff. Easy to use. I appreciate that they have a generic listing for the foods. For example, say you have a cup of chili. Rather than compile and total up nutrition info for each ingredient, simply use the info for generic chili.

FANTASTIC APP

I’ve had the NUTRITION APP for over a year now and use it all the time. It’s an amazing tool for the kitchen and working towards a healthy lifestyle. The many choices of portion size, name brands and total nutrition labels is amazing and truly helpful. I can’t recommend NutritionInfo enough. Way to go NUTRITION!!

So useful

If you are on Google as often as I am looking up nutrition facts, you might benefit from this like I did. It's very simple and has very specific nutrition info. I wish it had info about vitamin B and a couple other vitamins, but it has the most important ones listed. So awesome to have as a resource.

Simple and effective

I just needed something that was super simple and easy to see nutrition facts. This is exactly that. I’m not necessarily looking to track my info. I just occasionally wanted to see nutrition facts quickly and easily without having to go to google all the time and search.

clean and easy

this is perfect for designing meals and researching foods to hit nutritional targets, rather than just logging what you eat after the fact. I wonder about the completeness of the database behind it, but that said I can usually find what I’m looking for or a close match. Simple and easy to use, no social media garbage, forums, blogs, “communities,” etc. cluttering things up. An app that simply does what you ask it to do - look up nutritional data on food items. good job.

One of the greatest Food counts Sources

I’ve been using NutritionInfo for quite some time now. It’s just fantastic in my estimation. My main reason to use this food counts source is because I require a fast source to carb counts in various foods and salt.
I really do like the ease at which NutritionInfo is to use.

Love this app!

When I need to know how many carbs and fiber are in foods this is NutritionInfo to use. It also lets you know how much alcohol sugars a product has. Fast food products are broke down too. Sometimes it is a wake up call when you see what is in it! Thanks!

Love this app!!

Being a patient of both heart failure and diabetes I have to read labels religiously. NutritionInfo makes it easy and great for eating out. Just type in the food and up pops sodium carbs sugar everything that is on the sides of all our packages. Can’t wait to show NutritionInfo to the nurses on my next visit to see if NutritionInfo can help other people like me.

Fantastic App!

NutritionInfo saves me so much time looking up nutritional information. I enter a food item and immediately I am presented with options ranging from generic to brand names. I am not interested in “tracking” my foods, I just need to know nutritional info, and this is the perfect app for that! I have yet to enter a food that was not included in their source. Love it!

Excellent for Carb management

NutritionInfo is invaluable in helping me manage my carbohydrate intake. It’s easy to use and has a huge amount of products available in an easy to use format. The only suggestion I would make is that it would be nice to have a recently used list. Would just make it easier to find and double check what I had yesterday. Thanks for a terrific app.

Simply helpful

NutritionInfo is free and easy to use, it is quite helpful. Especially when eating out. I use it everyday, sometimes several times a day.
