Everything was better on groupme… true free speech. Now with this new application, admins are power hungry and the fraternity is becoming more split into two factions. We aren’t as brotherly as we were last semester. The admins just delete anything they don’t agree with and this is causing me much emotional anguish. I blame Jack Chen for persuading us to switch to this app.

Flare itself is fine, there are a couple small problems like links not always being clickable, but overall it’s nice to have everything in one place. However, you really need to change Flare icon, it looks exactly like tinder. It seems impossible that I’m the first person to have this complaint, but please change the color lol

I was considering using this a the primary communication platform for an organization I lead. While all the features are wonderful and exactly what I was looking for, I could not get behind the no web access. As an officer in an organization there are a lot of things to do behind the scenes where being able to access the platform on a computer in necessary. The inability to do this with this app is ultimately what made me decide not to use Flare . Additionally I think that a better method for organizing files would be helpful. Rather than there just being a list of them it would be nice if they could be organized into categories.

this app has become an essential app for our sorority, revolutionizing the way we communicate, coordinate events, and stay connected. Flare has truly transformed our sorority experience, making it easier than ever to collaborate and engage with our sisters. The messaging feature is a game-changer for our sorority's communication. We can create different channels for various topics, committees, or events, allowing us to keep conversations organized and relevant. This eliminates the need for multiple group chats or email chains, making it a breeze to share updates, discuss ideas, and plan activities with our sisters. The event scheduling and tracking feature is another standout aspect of this app. We can easily create and share events with all sorority members, ensuring that everyone is aware of important dates, times, and locations. The ability to set reminders for upcoming events has been a lifesaver, helping us stay on top of our busy schedules. Some features that I would like to see added is the ability to pin multiple messages in a groupchat and the ability to add links to the group description bio. Also for the photo albums it would be very helpful it we can make certain folders for the album I.e the folder would be community service and within the folder would be Beach Clean up. Then people wouldn’t have to sort through lots of pics.

My sorority is in the middle of transitioning to this app. We love the event post options, the separate group chats, and the ease of keeping track of points and getting other members’ contact info! I’m still getting used to Flare because I’m not familiar with enough of the features yet (hence the 4 stars) but I can’t recommend Flare enough especially after we’ve been switching over from using FB messenger which is not nearly as useful.

I have only been using this app for a couple of months now. I joined a new organization at my college that uses Flare for all of their communication needs. In my opinion, it is much better than many of the other group messaging apps. The design is much more appealing, it is easy to use, and my entire team loves it. If you are someone with a club or organization, I highly suggest you download this app. Flare even has a tab for calendars to remind you of important dates that people in your groups set, which is a very useful tool for me. It keeps things very organized and clean. Another feature I love is the personal profiles. It breaks down how many groups you’re in, what they are, how many people you have connected with and lets you add a bit of personality with a background photo. 10/10 app 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

When I was a new member we were using facebook to keep track of all of my chapters information. It was really disorganized and hard to find the information that we needed, and then this app was launched. My sorority has been using this app since my freshman year (21-22)! It keeps everything so much more organized and everything in one place!! Every chapter on every campus needs this app. It simplifies the format of all information needed and it’s so easy to find what you need. I’ve begun to see friends from other schools around the country begin to use this app for their chapters as well! The ability to read announcements as well as individually chat with other members of the chapter is SO CONVENIENT! Also having the contact info of all of our members in their profile is extremely helpful and such a unique feature! I love this app!!

I am a member of a sorority with 40ish girls in my fall pledge class. That can make it hard to communicate and be informed of accurate information. It also makes it hard to ask questions when you’re starting out as you never know who exactly to go to. Using the this app app has made this SO much more convenient as everyone can post, add comments to posts, and just overall stay informed. There’s event planning where they’ll tell you what is going on that week (and if you’re a bit clumsy like me that comes in CLUTCH), and overall it just makes life so much more convenient when in a large group with no idea of what’s going on.

this app is a great way to connect, communicate and increase interaction with group members. It has great features and options for reactions, adding photos, submitting forms and completing activities and points in organizations across campus.

I’m a 5th year, and I used group me for a while but I have to say my business organization switched to this app this year and it’s so much better for us. this app has become part of the family of our organization and we appreciate everything it does for us. Truly a great app you should definitely add it to your organization!

I LOVE Flare! Our Sorority headquarters recommended this to my chapter at my University & we all love it. It’s so convenient that everything we need is within this one app. We can upload pictures, have private group messages, see important information needed & much more with this app. I think it’s a very organized app & I taught myself everything I needed from Flare . Since we had such a great experience with it, our chapter then started recommending it to other chapters at our school & to the Fraternities! I don’t think there’s any chapter on my campus that does use it!!

Prior to using this app, our chapter used several apps/group chats to manage all of the information that was being sent to us. Using this app makes it way easier to navigate everything for our chapter. I love having everything in one place (group chats, announcements, photos, calendars, etc) rather than having to use multiple apps/websites.

Our chapter recently switched over to this app and it has been our best decision! We have almost 300 people in our chapter and the this app app has made it a million times easier to get information out to members, scan them in for events, create a group calendar, and get pictures from events! We recommend this app to everyone we talk to because it has made our lives so much easier! Thank you this app!

I started to use this app as soon as I got to college and it has been one of the most convenient ways of communicating with different orgs on my campus as most of them use this app. The way out is easy to and visually appealing, and the best part is that you don’t have to worry about making group charts via messages and saving multiple numbers. It’s as easy as an invite, create account, and you good to go.

My fraternity at UNR recently switched over to this app from groupme, and it was the best decision we made. The calendar scheduling, attendance codes, chat features, event reminders made my job as an executive board member so much easier and all of our active members are so happy with the change! I wish we knew about Flare sooner and want to make sure every frat on campus knows about it!

My chapter uses this app for literally any form of communication and information and it's incredibly helpful. Keeping my life organized is hard enough as a college freshman and being a new member can be overwhelming, but this app puts everything I need to know in one place. I can find events, information I might have missed, contacts, etc. I think I open Flare at least 20 times a day to look at something. I've been on several sports teams and in many different organizations that use different platforms and this is by far my favorite, I definitely recommend this app!

We recently transitioned from GroupMe to this app in the past year, and we are extremely satisfied with it. this app allows us to communicate as a group or individually through text messages. Additionally, it provides a convenient platform for managing and organizing all of our events, including the ability to upload and share photos from these events. this app has greatly improved the organization and coordination of our sorority, especially in terms of announcements and event planning.

this app is so helpful when keeping everything organized! There are so many things to keep track of being a part of my organization but this app keeps it all neat and easy to find! My favorite part is the calendar feature that is so easy to read and keeps my events on track! Highly recommend if you want to keep your information and events organized for a group!

As a freshman joining a sorority, it’s hard to keep track of everyone’s contacts but this app makes it so easy!! Being able to find contacts by looking up names and using profile pictures has been so helpful. I’ve used a few other apps in the past for big groups, but this app is by far the easiest to use! The layout is simple and always keeps me organized so I don’t miss a thing :)

We moved our pre-health organization of 18 people to this app at the end of August. To now(January), we’ve seen an increase to nearly 100 members since then. Primarily because of how much more efficient Flare has been at making events. We also increased our total number of events from about 11 per semester for 2 years to 30+ in the fall and around 45-47 this spring. Flare has made our organizations one of the fastest growing in our university of 40,000 students. Now, larger organizations are turning to it because of the efficient views for officers, point management system and contact system! We provide screenings for the community and have been able to increase our average attendance for every event by about 100%.

Flare solves a lot of problems when it comes to photo sharing within friend groups and after different events. Flare runs very smoothly and after you upload your pictures they appear on a timeline which you can scroll through and save whatever you like at great quality. It’s like mini photo albums you can keep to remember all your memories... I’m guessing Flare is going to be the next Facebook or Instagram because it’s efficient and ingenious

this app is easy to use, more efficient, and overall is a great all in one app. It makes communicating within large groups very smooth and it’s fun to customize everything to how you want it to be, which makes it more special. You can add photos under different events, making it easy to filter photos. You can also check in for attendance, see who views messages, find every user’s contact info, and have a point tracking system all within the same app. I’m very impressed with Flare and I hope more organizations start incorporating this! 🙌🙌

this app is a must have for any fraternity or sorority looking for a platform that takes everything by you need and puts it all in one place. Flare is simple to use and the fact that features are available on it like notifying if someone screenshots or barcodes that change every few seconds makes it even better. My chapter was using 3 different apps to keep track of points, photo sharing, keep up with a calendar, and share files before switching to this app. Now we are able to have one app that does everything that we need! It was super easy to set up and share with all of our members. It has made all our chapter operations more efficient and effective!! I’ve been telling all the chapters on my campus about it trying to get everyone to switch over!!

My chapter and I have been searching for a better alternative to use that has a central platform for chapter communication and Flare is exactly what we were looking for! We had to use multiple apps for different parts of our chapter but now we have a centralized platform that allows us to track points, add calendar, upload pictures, and have announcements!! This seriously has been a huge game changer for my sorority !!!

Flare solves every problem our club has been having with communications on GroupMe.

However I have one major qualm: the color of Flare icon is the exact same color as Strava and a few other apps that typically have push notifications that I almost always ignore. In general, an app that is green like WhatsApp or messages is a much more suitable color for a messaging app because I’m used to paying attention to notifications with that color.

I know this is stupid and nitpicky but it’s an honest criticism, and if Flare were green I wouldn’t miss notifications as often.

We love this app! Our group has just switched over from using canvas and GroupMe and we love being able to have all our documents and chats in one spot with the added bonus of even more people reading the important things! The only thing I would change is more ability for admins to disable notifications in Flare but other than that it's been a great experience :)

I have used many apps for group communication for sports and other actives. Since joining a sorority with over 100 people, any apps I have used in the past would not have the ability and the easy to accommodate all of us, but this app dose. It is the easiest app I have used and the many features they have makes it more compatible to our needs. The calendar feature is my favorite, I am clearly able to see what events we have going on, not only this week but months ahead. I also love being able to connect to other in a gourp and have one-on-one conversations all in the same app. Over all this app is great app and I highly recommend to anyone.

Flare allows my organization with over 100 girls communicate in an orderly way. There is many features that no other app has to offer such as, the ability to control who can send messages, the calendar event set up, and many more. The calendar allows my organization to create event and add pictures to the event. This is a great way to keep a photo record of who attended events. Overall, Flare allows simple and efficient communication!!

This past month, our chapter of almost 300 members transitioned to using this app for attendance, points, group messages, officer announcements, calendar, birthdays, photo collections, and more! We have also found Flare useful to collect member contact information, university ID, and other important info.
The transition to this app has been so easy because of the help of Jack and his colleagues! The officer team felt completely informed about the this app app and supported by the this app team throughout the whole process. All of our members/officers have enjoyed using this app, and are impressed by the amount of functions we can complete much more efficiently because of Flare. this app is by far the best check in, tracker, announcements etc. App that sorority’s can use! I have been in my sorority for a while now and this is the third app we have used and my absolute favorite. We have tried gibble, and OurHouse and while they were good they definitely can’t compete with this app, and that is just why we switched. Flare has so many wonderful features such as a chats page, events page, and a profile page allowing users to keep everything in an organized fashion. That I love cause some of the other apps were very confusing to use. So, take it from me and USE this app!

Flare is like GroupMe but BETTER!! If you need a group chat or you're having an event this is Flare to use! You can create events and post highlight pics from the event and make group chats that have better capabilities than groupme, and it also combines a calendar which is very convenient. Flare is up and coming and you don't wanna miss it

Very pleased with the calendar function and administrative ability to control group chat settings. I wish everyone would switch over to this instead of other group chat apps like GroupMe. Some improvements to be made with the interface but Flare is constantly improving.

I’m in charge of Public Relations for my sorority and this app was recommended to me by another chapter and we LOVE it! It’s such a great way for photos to stay organized and really encourages people to share photos! The creator, Jack, is also incredible! I had a security issue early on and he fixed it within a few hours and made sure it wouldn’t happen again! So glad to have made the switch to this app 💛

This is Flare we’ve needed for a long time. It has the massive, “everyone is here” community that GroupMe does, but adds the best features of Google Calendar, Snapchat, direct messaging, Facebook Events, and so much more. Flare is a GAME-CHANGER.

Flare is excellent and seriously does everything i need. My friends and i plan outdoor adventures and being that many have deactivated their Facebook accounts, we have been seeking an alternative to post, discuss, and create upcoming events. Flare does just that!!
Also, the customer service is incredible and has been in contact with me regarding new feature ideas. Seriously recommend 100%!!!

this app is the best app for any group or organization that needs to contact each other. Not only does it have a calendar and event feature to remind people about upcoming dates but it has descriptions. It’s so aesthetically pleasing on the eye and easy to figure out

this app seriously does everything and more. Once our sorority made the switch to this app our communication became so much easier. We love the points feature and getting to export attendance sheets. It’s so nice to have everything in one app, from scanning tickets, to finding photos, to group chats and announcements. this app is super handy and super easy to use! I also LOVE the privacy screen! If anyone tries to screenshots the conversations, the screenshot comes back as a black screen. Overall GREAT app!

My sorority just switched to Flare and it is great! It has a calendar and it’s one of my favorite parts about Flare because I am able to add it to my google calendar or apple calendar. I am able to send direct messages and respond to specific chats. I am also able to react to messages however I want rather than having to just “like” a message. Great app for a lot of people to get a lot of information really fast!!

this app has been a lifesaver for me, I used to use group me as a way to communicate with my groups in a fraternity but we found out that wasn’t a safe and secure. I really love the feature of following and becoming friends with others on the this app app. Also being able to have multiple chats inside of one group is great to split up into breakout rooms with smaller groups inside a big group!

Flair is super to use and very convenient for communication between different groups. It offers many features that are not available on other communication apps. As Secretary for Phi Mu, we transferred from our old platform to this app starting spring semester of 2023 and it was such a great decision and transition for the chapter!! they love it so much and it makes things so much more convenient and efficient for our points, attendance, pictures, chats, etc.!! We just switched from GroupMe to this app within the last year and we love it! We can text as a group or individually. We can also keep track of all of our events within Flare and even upload pictures to the events in Flare so that we all have access to photos from the event. It is so easy to use and has kept our sorority a lot more organized when it comes to announcements and events!
