great game

i do really like this game but there are a few things i would change if i could. one being making it so that players could do unlimited songs. i understand that the creators need to make money, but i think if you just put more advertisements on BEATMP3 and let players have unlimited songs it would be better. another thing, that is pretty minor, but it's just that sometimes the music doesn't quite match up to the game but i understand it is AI generated so there's not much you can do with that but other than that everything with BEATMP3 is amazing especially how you get to choose whatever song you want to play because some other rythym apps only let you play the newest trash pop songs..

Terrible note to song synchronization

If you are an avid rhythm game player and came to BEATMP3 expecting to play any song you want with the same quality as a Japanese made rhythm game, don’t bother downloading it. When I first played a song on this game I cranked it up to max difficulty right off the bat. Then, when I finally started playing the song, the notes that were appearing on the screen had literally no synchronization with the song. It’s like they got a 3 year old to tap notes on a screen then they just put a random song behind those recorded notes of the 3 year old. Every song I played were just terrible. With rhythm games, I want to be able to hear the song, get in synch with the song, get in a type of groove, and have my fingers on the same page as the song. I can’t do that with this game because it’s literally just a bunch of random notes slapped on a screen with a song behind it. Even when there was a pause in the song and there was no audio playing, like 20 notes came down the screen. I guess it’ll be a decent game for people who’ve been searching for the next tap tap revolution game but if you’re actually a rhythm game player, stay away from BEATMP3 or you will be disappointed.

Worth the time honestly

It’s a great game. I got it not that long ago but I’ve already played it nonstop since. I love that you can go through and look up what YOU want to play. Not a whole lot of games offer that and I’ve been looking for one that offers the kind of music I personally listen to (alternative rock and metal). So the option to look a song up by name is really cool. The rendering machine for the game isn’t the best but it works pretty well when it comes to slower songs. Such as Radiohead’s Creep. Or Snuff by Slipknot. If you catch my drift. Ive also played a few Billie Eilish songs and it works with moderate speed fairly well too if that helps any. It’s worth looking at and playing for yourself. And so far I’ve enjoyed it. One of the only downsides from what I’ve seen is it’s a battery killer. Now my phone was also at like 30% when I started playing but it went down faster than usual when BEATMP3 was open; but other than that it’s great!

Would be great if it didn’t crash all the time

I LOVE the fact that I can finally play my favorite songs in a beat based music game. The beats generated are pretty accurate for the most part and the scalable level system is so great. I’ve been a fan of Cytus and the other Rayark beat games for a long time and just being able to choose the music you want to play to makes it worth so much more. So worth it that I can almost forgive it for crashing every time I play. Almost. I’m not sure what it is that’s causing it as it happens at random times but it will crash at least once every time I play. While other people want more discs to be able to play longer at once, I actually like having only five as it helps me keep on track and not playing on my phone when I should be doing other things. All in all, a solid attempt that I will continue to play. But the crashing is aggravating. If it gets any worse I don’t know if I’ll continue to play.

Just started playing

I just started playing and the first two songs I’ve played so far have been so incredibly cool! I’m an avid rhythm game player and can play master mode on most rhythm games (Beat Saber, Muse Dash, WaiWai Party, etc…) and though this isn’t as good as those, it’s just as fun if not more fun! The generated songs are surprisingly well generated and I love the slide notes- they remind me of Arcaea. Already love it!
Edit: The song “The Osu! Collab (Hosted by TArrow)” is probably the best song for BEATMP3 as the beats are made clear. Most rhythm game songs like Galaxy Collapse or The Big Black don’t run well because the system can’t pick out clear beats because of the sheer amount of them. Try it out if you want a challenge :)

I LOVE IT but there are a few bugs

This is an amazing game. I love it so much its probably one of my favorites. I can finally play whatever song I want. However, there is one bug that sort of ticks me off. Once i play a song, everythings fine, right? Well once i play another song after that, the song prior repeats itself and i cant get it to stop unless i delete the tab. So then i have to delete the tab over and over again after each song so the next one can play. Sometimes i forget to delete the tab and i end up wasting one of my disks. But overall this is an amazing game and that was the only thing that bothered me a bit.

Invasive ads

The game is fun and the maps that are generated are pretty good, but it has the worst ads I’ve ever seen on mobile. They are nothing but those scamlike ads that either hide or remove the close button from the window and make the entire screen clickable ad space so that you will constantly be having web windows and store pages shoved in your face. I often need to completely close BEATMP3 because there is no way to close a couple of the ad variants. The user experience is just awful so long as they keep running ads that try to trick users into giving them traffic after EVERY song. It really is that bad. Great game ruined by scummy business practices.

You’ve gotta work with it a little

Whatever algorithm this game is using to generate charts is... interesting. Idk how it works but if you don’t save the version it gave you after you finish a song, the next time you play it’ll generate a slightly different version. The higher difficulties are really quite fun on the songs I’ve chosen (mostly fast vocaloid stuff not included in project diva), but Idk how it is on other genres. I’ve had success with a few really fun songs so ust play with the settings a bit and you’ll be able to enjoy it. I will also note that I don’t mind English translation errors at all, which this game definitely has. I’m pretty sure it’s a gem I won’t be deleting

Good, but I have one minor complaint

This is a good app overall. Considering, whatever does the charting for each song does shockingly well at properly synchronizing what notes it puts down with the beat of the song you’re playing. My only complaint is that you play the game in landscape mode while from experience I’m used to playing in portrait, as I used to play Tap Tap Revenge before I tried this. I find myself stretching my thumbs across the screen to hit the notes in ways you just wouldn’t have to if you could play the game in portrait mode. This makes the experience a bit uncomfortable for me, and I’d prefer it if portrait mode was an option.

Wow

It is a great game and I’m paying for unlimited gems because I think it’s worth it. Then the problems happened. They are small problems that are easy to fix but at times, ads pop up and when you restart BEATMP3 , it sometime shows that you did not purchase a subscription. To fix it you just go to the purchase menu and tap “restore”. Then, it will bring you back to the menu showing that you have bought it. I think it’s pretty funny. It’s like they give you the product back after you want your money back. Lol

I think this game has bugs that needs to be fixed

I went on to Exo’s Lotto and there were no notes and completely froze. I wish you made it more flexible for the time you get to get the disks. I wasted a disk that I waited for approximately 25 mins for. I just think it’s a little too much you have to wait for and the bug issue kind of throws the amount of time you waited in the trash I feel like I waited for 25 mins for nothing. I’m a bit disappointed and I hire you fix it for some other people who have the same problem to has a good experience while playing the game.

Blown Away

I'm pretty astonished by how much freedom you have when it comes to customizing your play style. Everything is balanced through point modifiers, so you're free to crank everything to max, or lower held notes.

How they implemented hammer-on notes is fantastic too. Sliding back and forth between notes feels great, and aside from the occasional mental hiccup where you forget to tap a note that's on the same fret, you feel like Neo hitting everything.

My only gripe is the limited play count, but the subscription seems fairly cheap, and it remains to be seen how easy it is to get free discs.

Good game but ads are everywhere

I love this game! The concept and execution are both amazing, the gameplay is phenomenally solid (for a mobile game), and the graphics are beyond awesome! And the best part: no Anime Girls! Thank goodness XD

But… I have one problem. The ads. Every time you enter the Home Screen, you get an ad, whether it’s by pausing and exiting or finishing the song. It’s super annoying. And the ads are the stupidest things, too. They’re ALL either the cringey ads, the misleading ads, or the generic ads with stock game assets that aren’t even in the actual game. That’s not such a big deal, though, because they can be skipped lol

Excellent time Killer

So far i have experienced no problems at all it has been an amazing game. To be able to look up my favorite Kpop songs or any yep of music I’m in the mood for is sweet though i wish there were a way to earn disk by playing like for getting an A you get 3 disk B 2 Disk C 1 Disk
This way if you are decent at the game there is no limit to how long you can play absolutely worth the Space.
I also wish that the were Vertical Play as well as Horizontal.
I downloaded this game after seeing Suju’s Kim Heechul Playing it on his 2015 I wish MV don’t regret downloading it.

Good game, flawed search, what's up with the crashes?

I don't play beat games often so my standards are pretty low. I'm enjoying it the few times it works. It crashes a lot and fails to generate songs even though I've played them before. What's going on? It'd be perfect if this were fixed so that my disks wouldn't be wasted. (Only reason I gave the 3rd star is because I found a way to circumvent the crashes/errors).

Search limits number of options visible, and songs have a tendency to be Korean? It makes it takes up the options visible and prevents me from searching specific unknown songs. Fix that please.

App randomly shuts down

It’s a really good game! I love playing it, but it does have a few kinks to work out. The timing with the beats and the music can sometimes be off timing, but the major issue is that when I try to open up a song to play, BEATMP3 will randomly shut off when I hit play. Also, even if I stay in the music menu (speed settings for songs, etc) it’ll still shut off on me. I updated my phone, and tried uninstalling and installing again but it still bugs out on me. I was wondering if there’s a way to fix this. Thanks!!!

I love it but I think there’s a bug...

Ok so I just downloaded this a few days ago and I love it! My only issue is when I’d going through a song just fine and then suddenly it’ll start loading something out of nowhere and I end up with a bunch of misses and then I can’t even finish the song because it takes me to the menu screen and I get an F even though I didn’t get a chance to finish, and I was doing just fine. What’s up with the random fail screen? Other then that, I love it!

Songs and gameplay are great but...

The songs and gameplay of BEATMP3 are great but I gave it 4 stars because the game is not in sync with any of the songs when you play. I've seen a lot of comments mentioning that the game generates random notes to a song and that's it. This would be a great game if the developers could focus on syncing the notes with the beat of the songs because then it would be up there with the tap tap series. So yeah that's my thoughts on this game. Just want the developers to focus more on syncing the notes with the beat of the songs.

Could be better!

I’m loving this game so far, but there’s a whole lotta optimization that could be done to make this better.

For one, the things you customize before playing a level (difficulty, speed, etc.) should be explained more clearly to newer players. Some people might not understand what all of the sliders do or why they matter.

Secondly, while the charts are pretty good for being auto-generated, I’m hoping some technological improvements are made to make them a bit more accurate.

Last of all, most intense sections in songs are just really long hold notes, which makes them less fun to play.

Besides that though, this game is pretty fun.

My only suggestion is the game being able to change the song’s pitch in relation to how fast and or slow you’ve set the rate to (0.75x, 2.0x, etc.) This isn’t necessary, but I thought it’d be a cool addition that the player could toggle on and off.

If it’s too hard to implement though, I totally understand.

Sound Adjustment

I think this game is great! Normal rhythm games usually have a pre-made selection of songs, and those selections are limited. However, with BEATMP3, I can play whichever song I want. The only problem I have is with the sound adjustment. I play a lot of rhythm games, so with my experience, I like to have the notes go a little faster. However, I have to pay to increase the speed. I understand that ads and in-app purchases are essential for making money, but I don’t want to have to pay for a higher speed. That’s just my opinion though. Anyways, great game.
