Another update after two months of steady use. Now that I have been using COBIBike for over 2 months three to four times per week I can honestly say that COBIBike is great! I studied the digital manual and started to use all the settings and dialed in exactly what I wanted it to do and it has made my riding very enjoyable. I highly recommend reading the manual to maximize all the well thought out features of COBIBike. Thanks Cobi team!

I have been actively using COBIBike for 2 weeks and I have to say it has been very helpful in keeping me informed on battery life, rate of speed and distance on a large easy readout on my phone while being held on the clip and connected to the included phone charger. I also appreciate how it connects to Strava App to keep a history of my rides. Now I’m going to try out connecting to Komoot app as well.
I particularly like how I can keep my phone charged so I can play my music the entire way and use navigation without draining my phone battery on 30 mile trips. Next I want to start playing around with the mapping feature and see how that works. Have not figured out how to turn off the voice which can be annoying when I’m switching riding modes two or three times on hills, no obvious turn off mode. Overall I’m happy with the COBI hub and look forward to more updates with improvements.

This problem has still not been addressed. Put a line in the software that says “ if this is being used on an Apple phone turn the compass 90 degrees counter clockwise “. Why are you spending time on other things while this is still not fixed? Solve the problem.
The compass problem has not been fixed. My compass is still off by 90 degrees. I have sent notes on how to duplicate the problem. All the things I have been asked to try I have tried and no luck. There is a software bug that needs to be found and fixed. I’m going to repeat here in case someone new is listening: I turn on COBI. Compass direction is correct. I walk the bike in different directions-compass is correct. I walk the bike up a hill. I jump on without touching the pedals. As I hit approximately 10 mph the compass slowly goes off by 90 degrees. At first I thought it was engaging the pedals. That is why I took it up a hill. The compass is off for the entire ride. Nothing helps to get it back to the correct direction. My friends bike has the same problem . I have an iPhone 8, he has a 12.

Are use COBIBike every day and it has some issues that need to be addressed and fixed. With the use of the Apple Watch COBIBike is supposed to start a work out and record it on your phone automatically it did this for me almost always and abruptly stopped on April 6, 2020. I like to be able to see my map on my phone which this had provided I have to disable the heartbeat part of the Apple Watch and just do regular Apple Watch bicycle workouts to get a map of my ride. Also the compass is almost always 90° out of being accurate. Also I am having trouble maintaining 10 contacts and I cannot longer add more than five, and when I do try to add someone nothing happens. Also the contact list changes magically from five of the 10 I used to have displaying different ones each day. Otherwise I love all the features of COBIBike in the amount of information It offers about my ride. I wish someone would please fix the rest of these issues

I have to use COBIBike because it came with my Haibike, but I hate it. The navigation text/arrows are too small to read at speed, the battery power icon is even smaller, the boost level only shows for 1 sec when you change it, then disappears.

Most of the functions are useless to me and only minimally configurable. I ended up only using the speedometer. Worst, it forced an update in the middle of the desert when I was already low on battery for bike and phone and had poor reception, leaving me stranded miles from my car. I got the bike at a big discount because of the bad first reviews, mostly about the software. I thought “how bad could it be?” Now I know. I’ve had the bike for 2 years and the software hasn’t improved much if at all. Seriously might sell the bike because if it. If I had any other choice of bike app I would have ditched this long ago.

I have a few wishlist items for my cobi and COBIBike (e.g. google maps routing, longer accelerometer based turn signals, flashing headlight and tail light, etc), but for the most part, this thing is amazing with nothing out there quite like it.

The latest app update brings a warning screen that must be dismissed on EVERY SINGLE RIDE. Super annoying. Can we have this remember that I acknowledged the warning already and not force me to tap it before every ride?

The UX on COBIBike is impossible to use reliably.

- If I open COBIBike at all it automatically turns on the bike.
- it randomly loses my login information and I have to log in and set everything up all over again. What a pain!
- The syncing doesnt always work as a result of the complete reset everytime I turn COBIBike on.
- The Smartphone Hub plus labor to add it was not cheap and for it not work properly is kind of frustrating.
- Manually accessing a single ride via COBIBike doesnt work. Holly molly!
- The documentation is hard to find or unavilable or inadequate.
- Unable to stop and start rides manually from COBIBike .

Im starting to get upset. Let me stop.... I was really hoping to like this but the experience is nothing short of terrible. It makes me want to return the Smartphone Hub and get something thatll be able to properly keep track of my rides.

I HATE COBIBike and display right now. I’m still open to the fact that maybe I just dont understand how to use it but ummm wow!

I like the many nice features of COBIBike and find them really useful. What is very annoying about this up is that I have to run through the set up after 2 or 3 rides again. It seems to be random how often I have to run the set up. Please fix this. Very annoying if you just want to hop on and go.

With the update a few weeks ago, I’m now unable to view total miles. I was told it’s no longer available on Transx bikes. Otherwise like COBIBike for daily commute. Bring back !

A software update must not clear login and bike connection information, especially when the reconnect logic has a bug (no keyboard pops up when I try to enter the bike name and no way to continue without the name.) I start COBIBike when I’m leaving on a ride and wasting 10 or more minutes getting COBIBike going means I miss the meeting time with my friends.

This is two updates in a row with this rude behavior.

If you must wipe the login info, state that in the update description; don’t leave it to be discovered.

In spite of negative reviews, I took a chance on this unique item. Unfortunately the negative reviews were correct. Installing was a nightmare,even on my Intiva Bosch bike. I had to remove my headlight just to make it fit. Then, i downloaded app. Creating an account proved impossible because I got in an endless loop of registering and accepting terms and conditions and could go no further. I’m a software developer myself and when an app doesn’t let you create an account, that’s a really bad sign of problems to come. Needless to say, my Cobi is being returned tomorrow.

Although I am new to COBIBike on my new bike, I am bewildered that it won’t show me total bike miles! I spoke to Bosch and was told I need to go to my dealer to have the bike hooked up to their computer. Ummm so what if I want to sell the bike at some point? I don’t understand why you don’t want consumers to know how many miles are on the motor? Ridiculous. I want to maintain the bike and would want mileage for that reason above all. Please fix this!!

Great app overall, but unfortunately the maximum wheel circumference allowed by COBIBike is 2174mm. My 27.5 wheels (common size) calc out to 2193mm, so basically the speed and distance as calculated by COBIBike is not accurate. Please update to allow for larger (normal) circumferences!

Takes a couple of minutes for setup but I love COBIBike. Able to lose 20 pounds riding this bike everywhere. Thanks!!!

I wish I could control Apple Music through COBIBike when biking.

Needs lots of updates! Please allow larger fonts for range of miles left on battery for those of us who are aging but biking. My compass totally reads the wrong way. Directions for using COBIBike are very limited. Would like an accumulative odometer for total miles. Love my new bike but HATE COBIBike

COBIBike is clunky. It can freeze up while riding not allowing you to change screens or power modes. Also, the short tutorial is in German. App needs work, for sure.

App worked fine initially and then started requiring me to re- pair my bike each time I rode and now just displays “error. This hub is special. Please contact our support”. Curious if they will actually contact me.

I had issues with Bluetooth connection but it is fixed now. The support want too helpful and had to figure this out by myself. At least it is working now.

COBIBike crashes on a new iPhone 11 and iPhone 8. It will only run on an old iPhone 7 for me. Couldn’t be more frustrated.

App keeps disconnecting from hub @ <8 on turbo. Fitness module no longer works. Integration with new Nylon app would be preferred. Is Intiva still supported?l

I wanted this product to work so bad, it appeared to have everthing I wanted and needed to intergrate my iphoen with my bike. As advertised it did, performance it did not. First, regardless of what Cobi site reads, and regardless of what the say in the videos. They have NO tech support at all. The unit will not pair out of the box. No response from "tech portal" "email tech" or the Support phone numbers. A very nice lady will answer the phone, but she is no more than an operator with the same install guide sent with the unit. Once I got the unit to pair, it simply wouldnt operate. I have a Bosch bike. The unit is supposed to shift power levels on the Bosch sytem and integrate the data info. It does neither. Shifting is sporatic at best. I suggest you stay away from this kickstarter failure. I wish I had

I want to love COBIBike but I don't understand how you can't add a simple address like 501 Main Street Los Angeles CA, and have a destination appear. Seems like a huge oversight or I'm not understanding how to use it.

After the wait COBIBike is performance amazing with the unit!!

Under iOS 10.0.2 the COBI Hub doesn't pair with the phone. I've tried to do the same with iOS 9 and worked. Please update because the device is useless.

Over good, but when listening to Apple Music there is no way to change power assist levels without moving out of COBI.Bike app back to main control panel and back.

Also battery levels not clearly shown by percentage.

This is a warning that the COBI.Bike hardware has been indefinitely removed from the US market - I heard this directly from COBI.bike support when inquiring how to purchase from the US and Canada. This does not bode well for COBIBike either. I have no idea why Bosch (COBI.bikes parent company) is so determined to abuse North American customers, and I wish I could recommend an alternative ebike computer - but Bosch’s next best ebike computer, the Nyon, isn’t sold in North America either.

Maybe we all just need to avoid Bosch products until they decide to finally fully support their North American customers.

I’ve not had the problems that others have reported. I use an iPhone 7+ and have had all the integration work: lights, Bluetooth, music, everything. I don’t know if the other reviewers were using a different version of iPhone or an android. Also, this system came with my bike, so is the problem with a retro fit? I can just share my experience.
