Pay to play

UDiscDiscGolf was great for logging scores and showing improvement in performance UNTIL the free trial ran out. I expected the trial to end when it did, but did NOT expect to no longer be able to create scorecards. App developer, we appreciate your work to make UDiscDiscGolf’s functionality convenient and fun, but don’t even try to justify to app users that a maximum of 10 scorecards is a good perk of UDiscDiscGolf without the Pro account; we don’t buy it. Creating scorecards is the most basic feature of UDiscDiscGolf and you’re taking it away. I would like to suggest a change as others have done: make a lite version with basic features such as creating unlimited scorecards, but leave out some other more advanced features that only Pro users can access. Besides, you may get several users (mostly pros and extremely dedicated players) to buy into this, but your overall community (devout players, occasional players, and newcomers) will delete UDiscDiscGolf because they refuse to pay for something that’s not worth it. Please take our advice — we love UDiscDiscGolf and want to enjoy it, but we won’t use it until you make a change!

If you play disc golf regularly, you need this app

Don't be a fool, UDiscDiscGolf gots all you need to be slinging chains on the course. If the course your looking to play is worth anything, there's probably a map and scorecard for it on UDisc. It tells you where the courses are, how to navigate it, and gives you a great and easy way to keep score. Apple watch complements UDiscDiscGolf greatly with the ability to keep score on your wrist. The only downside to the free version is that you can only save 10 score cards (although you can delete old ones and make new ones). If you happen to play in tournaments, the premium version of UDiscDiscGolf is included with your PDGA membership. Which pays for itself after playing in roughly 5 tournaments. So don't be stupid and look lost on the course, get UDiscDiscGolf.

Lovely, annoying app.

I’ve fallen in love with disc golf. The same could be said about UDiscDiscGolf. Except UDiscDiscGolf is kind of like have a spunky, quirky, cool, but ultimately annoying girlfriend. Here is where I’ll mention I don’t like how UDiscDiscGolf changes to order of players based on who has the honors. Have you ever played golf? And kept score on a paper scorecard? Have you ever kept score on anything? Have you EVER seen a scorecard where the order of players changes on you? I don’t think I’ve scored half of my rounds correctly because of this quirk. It even comes through annoying adulterated on Apple Watch. Which reminds me. I used to have this irrefutably fun girlfriend that was already ready a fun time, but she was always a bit of a different person every time I was around her. It threw me off, just like scoring with UDiscDiscGolf. And I’ll stick with its quirks until something more stable comes along.

Feature Request

Overall incredible App, just think a few more features would make it even better.
1. Ability to view friends course scorecards like you can view your own past scorecards on the main page. Being able to click your friends profile and see their past score cards and courses they’ve played would be awesome.
2. Custom putting practice. Allow users to create their own putting practice parameters like how far and how many throws for each distance would really up the ante for practicing with UDisc.

Thanks and love UDiscDiscGolf and looking forward to continuous improvements!

Awesome but could be better

We love UDiscDiscGolf and use it frequently. So frequently, that we thought that it would be real cool to get Samsung Galaxy Watches to link to uDisc. Don’t make the same mistake we did, we returned and bought Apple Watches. Samsung’s operating system Tizen is not supported and from emails to the developers it doesn’t seem like they plan on upgrading or adding it anytime soon though those watches are a huge benefit to ones ability to measure throws and keep score without the use of your phone on the course (our watches are 4G so they ARE phones and have their own phone numbers) so it surprised me that they wouldn’t be upgrading this at all. We enjoy it so much we ate $400 and returned our devices. I think that is saying a lot. Try it out. Just make sure you don’t have a Samsung 😂

Great, but...

I’m a huge stats guy and UDiscDiscGolf has it all. Well, almost all. It does a great job of keeping my stats for each course, my score in each hole for a course, even birdies and such. While this is all great, I would love to be able to see individual hole stats for each course like “what’s my C1x on hole 3?” or “How often do I park it on 5?” or “Today is a bit windy, how do I normally do?”

Knowledge is power to the point where I’ve made my own spreadsheet to get these additional stats and it’s acutllay improved my game since I know how i normally perform say on a clear day, 65 and a slight wind to the north. It’s all about tiny adjustments.

Finally, the gps for UDiscDiscGolf is not great. And my phone is updated and it’s not like I’m playing in the middle of nowhere. I would like it to lock on to my location faster and with a bit more accuracy. For example there have been times where I’ve been inside the 10m circle but it has be midway in the 20m circle. That messes up my putt distances as well (which would be cool to see as well)

All in all, it’s great. I would like to see a few more things for us numbers people.

Plain terrific

This year is going to be my second year of playing disc golf. I have always played with my step-father. We both enjoy the sport and are always looking for new courses. In the past we just used Google to find courses but some of them weren’t really courses. I opened App Store and looked up “frisbee golf”. I started looking through and this was the third thing I saw. I downloaded it and immediately liked it because it combines all things you need to play disc golf. First is the courses, their number of holes, and if they are public or not. It even includes a scorecard. Overall, UDiscDiscGolf is great. Download it if you play disc golf regularly.

Best Disc Golf App in the game

Hands down the best & only App you’ll ever need for disc golf. Get started by making a profile & adding your friends that use Udisc. Use it for a scorecard to keep track of all your rounds. You can measure your throws. You can use it for putting practice too. There’s a course locator that shows every logged course in the world. You can use it to find disc golf stores & leagues in your area as well. That’s just the tip of the iceberg as far as what you can do with UDiscDiscGolf . Basically, it’s not “what does UDiscDiscGolf do?” It’s more of “what doesn’t UDiscDiscGolf do for disc golf?” Highly recommended. If you play disc golf, you NEED Udisc!!! 😎👍

Awesome especially paired with the Apple Watch

I love UDiscDiscGolf especially paired with the Apple Watch. I keep score for my group when we play and my mates love it when I save the score card and it appears on their app. It’s convenient to leave the phone in the disc bag and keep score from the watch.
After the last update of the iPhone and / or the Apple Watch my watch and phone won’t connect. I have the Apple Watch 2 and didn’t have any issues until last month. If this isn’t fixed by the developers my next review won’t be as favorable.
Ideas for future versions...... allow the watch to track distances to / from tee&basket. Golf pad for regular golf allows the user to do that with their watch and data is saved on UDiscDiscGolf .

Basically Perfect

UDiscDiscGolf is great. I love seeing my stats on each individual hole at my favorite courses. The throw measuring tool is cool, and I’ll use it every so often for long drives/putts. Unfortunately disc golf pins change, so sometimes UDiscDiscGolf isn’t updated. It allows you to update, but not something you can do if you’re trying to get a quick round in.

The ONLY thing I can think that I’d like to see in UDiscDiscGolf is a more social component. You can add friends to sync scoreboards in a round, but I’d really like to see my friends’ hole-by-hole stats beyond just the course final score leaderboard. Like how did you get that score MARK???

Awesome App

UDiscDiscGolf is great. If you belong to a league or play in competition or if you’re a chucker (we all were once!) UDiscDiscGolf will make playing disc golf waaaaay more convenient. Course database, scorecard, maps, league and tournament features, PDGA integration (even a small discount on your annual membership).

Strongly recommend UDiscDiscGolf if you play even once a week. You can add your friends (both parties have to add each other - not sure why it isn’t a friend-request type setup). One thing I’d like to see added is the ability to see live scores of my in-app friends if they are playing and I am stuck not-disc-golfing.

Every Disc Golfer Needs This App

UDisc is an essential part of disc golf. At any skill level, tracking your scores is a key form of progression. UDiscDiscGolf is intuitive and as in depth as you could possibly want. If you would like UDiscDiscGolf can track anything from scores, to drive lengths, circle 2/1/1x putts, scramble percentage and much more. They charge $5 a year if you would like to submit your scores to leaderboards or share them with friends, which I think is completely understandable and I’m fine with. It also works great with Apple Watch, I have a series 3 and have no problems.

Over all, of you play disc golf more than once a year, get UDiscDiscGolf .

An absolute must for any disc golfer!

Simply the best app ever created for disc golf. Every course in existence (almost all with interactive hole by hole maps) is here for you to explore. We have found and played more courses because of UDiscDiscGolf than would be possible any other way.
Each course has reviews, multiple layouts, directions to the course, and details about course amenities.
While the specific pin positions for that particular day may not always be accurate, it is still far and away the best thing to happen to disc golf since concrete tee pads.

Beautiful!

I was looking for a scorecard app where I could track scores from my Watch and instead, I found this little gem which does that and a whole lot more! Easy to track scores with Watch. Need more details? Whip out your phone and track scores, individual shots, steps, weather conditions and more all while syncing scorecards to friends that also use UDiscDiscGolf . Need to inventory your discs? Do it in UDisc! Want to know how your scores stack up against other golfers at your local course? Use UDisc!

My next suggested feature (wishlist item) is an option to export all score data to a .csv file.

May be the Only Must Have App I Own!!

GET UDiscDiscGolf! NOW!!!

I just started playing disc golf in August of 2019. I fell in love when I started seeing improvement in my throws and distance. Since I began, I have now played 32 different courses, over 270 rounds, and have played in and won my first tournament. I truly believe that is in large part to Udisc!

If you want to get better you have to practice and play. Udisc makes practice more fun with measuring your throws, putting accuracy, and keeping detailed stats. Where I live, the local courses aren’t the best. Without Udisc, I wouldn’t have a clue where to even begin at hole 1 at some courses due to no signage and no tee pads. Udisc makes it simple.

I LOVE playing new courses too, so Udisc is perfect for locating courses to travel to or play while you’re traveling.

I seriously cannot imagine being a disc golfer without Udisc. Not sure how people playing 10 years ago or further back survived.

I can’t play without it it’s so good

As I mentioned in the title, UDisc is so well designed that i can’t imagine not using it. It’s as important to my disc golf game as any disc I have in my bag. I do wonder though, if it would be possible for me to track advanced stats on my Apple Watch. I love the advanced stats and how the help me learn my game and improve, but there are many rounds where I forego advanced stats in order to be able to leave my phone in my bag and just use my Apple Watch to track strokes. I just think UDisc has a chance to do something really special if Apple Watch begins supporting advanced stats.

Really Good app

100% better than Pdga app step it up fellas. I have two things that would be a great addition. Number one instead of entering all disks in your bag manually, it would be nice if you had all disks from every company already in there preloaded with stats flight pattern and stamps so all you had to do is choose color or upload picture. Number two, create different score cards to keep track of different games other than standard match play. Games like scramble, 9 point game, skins, pig and wolf, closest to pin. Etc... change voice of announcer in app also.

Awesome App that Grows DG

I have so much confidence at new courses because of UDiscDiscGolf. The hole maps is a life saver. The database to keep all of my stats and rounds is seamless and is such a blessing to have everything in one place. The improvements keep coming in. What a tool for any disc golfer. I would love for the scorecard to be able to do different layouts in the same scorecard. For example my wife loves the reds and I like the whites. If there is a scorecard for both then it would be awesome to keep both scores on the appropriate layout. Thanks UDisc!

A Cool Feature to Add

This is such a well developed app. Clean interface, super user friendly, deep database of courses. It’s got it all... except something is missing.
It would be incredible to add a social feature to UDiscDiscGolf . I’ve always wanted to be able to see when, where, and how my friends on UDiscDiscGolf threw recently. It would be pretty sweet to have a page where you can see your friends and their rounds they’ve recently played all at one place. That’s all I’m wishing for. (You could make it exclusive to the UDisc Pro membership too. Would be a great incentive to buy the yearly subscription)

Needs ability to add personal custom layouts

Definitely the best disc golf app available. I’ve played many courses where I would be completely lost without UDisc. One thing I would like in a future update would be the ability to add custom personal course layouts that are only available to me or to those that want to have access. There are a couple courses that my my buddies and I will throw with different layouts than what is listed in UDiscDiscGolf . I don’t see anyway to make a new layout without making it public. Seems like such an oversight. Would easily be 5 stars with this feature.

Makes Disc Golf Better

I am fairly new to the sport of disc golf, but right away I knew I wanted a way to keep track of my games and follow my improvements in the game. I was thrilled when I found UDisc on UDiscDiscGolf Store. I love recording my throws and watching my game improve. Josh and Matt have done an amazing job making UDiscDiscGolf user friendly.

Guys, the only thing this needs now is the ability for players on the same card to keep their score independently, tracking stats, but have the round show up as a unit. Love playing with my friends, but we all end up on different score cards because we want to keep our stats, and no one wants to do it for the whole group. Get us on the Cloud!

Not a complaint really, just hopeful for where UDiscDiscGolf can go. Keep up the good work!

Get this if you play disc golf

I have use this since Udisc was in beta! Ended up chatting with the Developer Once, Great guy that really cares about the sport and his clients. Also the best way to find a course whether you’re local Or visit in an area. Great scorekeeping and the fact they give you course maps!!, distance Thrown, way to keep track of your discs, And to compare scores with friends and keep track of your scores at the course. This is the best app for any disc golfer. Also the annual cost is ridiculously cheap!

THE Disc Golf App

I’ve been using UDisc since the beginning days. It was a great, way to use score keeping app even then, but it’s grown into so much more.

This is my go-to source for finding new courses when out of town. Course search, reviews, scorecard for multiple layouts, GPS mapping, up to date course conditions, and even navigation tips can often be found. One click to open directions in Waze.

Score keeping works awesome. Love being able to track per-shot stats and see how I’m improving. Also love that one person can keep score and have it update in others’ profile during league or tournament play. The course leaderboards are fun to see how you stack up against others.

Other great features:
Live tournament scoring
Disc and in-the-bag inventory

Just a great app that’s well designed and always rolling out smart updates.

On Top of Their Game!

I’ve been using the uDisc app for over a year now without any issues. It’s very easy to use and has a beautiful display and keeps great stats and scores. I recommend getting a UDisc account to log and save your progress thru multiple apps with friends, etc. I’m also impressed that today I noticed a new update and it’s better than ever, which means these guys are not a fly by night and will continue to develop and grow their app... keep up the good work!

What a Resource!

Back in the day, I used to carry around the PDGA course guide whenever I would travel and find new courses to play. Now UDisc has all that info and so much more! Reviews provide great insights, an ongoing account of all the rounds I log and courses I’ve played (up to 135), and stats that show me what I do well, and where I need to improve. Every time I meet peeps on the course that seem lost, I recommend UDisc, and I must have turned a couple dozen players onto this awesome resource.

By

Leading the way

Honestly, Udisc has helped launch discgolf to new heights with the ability to analyze high detailed stats and in turn opening the door to what areas need more focus and practice in one’s game.
Oh and then there is the main feature of UDiscDiscGolf , the scoring.
A scoring app that has grown into something special and unlike any other sports app and that is exactly what discgolf is...unlike anything else!

By

Scores and course info is great, social needs work

UDisc is excellent for finding courses, keeping scores and learning course info. The “social” aspect of it leaves a bit to be desired. For example, if you create a scorecard for you and your friend (who is also a UDisc member), the scorecard doesn’t show up on their account when the round is over. Additionally, it seems that you can’t actually go look at your friends’ scores. I think if these aspects were improved this would be a 5-star app.

By

Great app

This does the things you need like keep your score and can give you what you want like your stats. Great way to find courses. Most have maps/layouts that help you navigate the course. I am trying to do a layout and having a bit of trouble doing that, but probably an issue on my end. You can also watch tournaments. Small cost for a great investment. Keep up the great work.

By

New to the sport and this has helped me tremendously

I was having a hard time find courses in my area and when I did I had trouble know where the next t-block was or which hole to Throw to if it was unmarked. The map is simple and extremely useful. I love the score card system and the stats it gives you. All and all a great app that helped me get into the sport.

One thing I would suggest:
I really like the throw measuring function. But I would use it more if I didn’t have to go to the drop menu to access it.
Maybe have a button on the scorecard to take you right to throw measuring. Would make it just that much easier

Thanks for the great app keep up the good work!

By

Great app only one main issue

I love everything about that app except for one missing feature. There’s not a way to manually push scorecards to another Udisc account. I currently have a couple scorecards with friends which don’t show up on their apps even though all of us have Udisc Pro. There needs to be a more intuitive way to share the scorecards within UDiscDiscGolf and not have to manually enter the whole card.
