This game used to be fun. It can still be if the developers will ever fix their problem with ads crashing constantly. It used to be an occasional issue, now it’s every time one plays the game, and on virtually every ad! It means players watch an entire ad, the ad crashes so there’s no reward, and the player is forced to reboot the game and try again. Often the same ad repeats with the same problem. Lately, the problem occurs with every single ad. So far the developers’ answer has been to reboot, clear your cache and close all other apps. NO! HOW ABOUT INSTEAD YOU ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR OVER TWO YEARS NOW? No other game I play has this problem, nor has any significant problem ever taken so long to resolve by the developers of other games. You should be spending the revenue you get from the ads to fix the problem. You should also OFFER PLAYERS SUBSTANTIAL COMPENSATION IN FREE ENERGY AT THE VERY LEAST! You’re killing this game. Failure to fix this issue will cause the majority of players to quit playing this game, and then where will your ad revenue come from? I’M SURE I SPEAK FOR MANY PLAYERS WHEN I SAY PERMANENTLY FIX THIS LONG STANDING ISSUE OR WE WILL WALK AWAY! Sad actually. Used to be a great game.

Edit: in response to the developer response: I’m talking about the PET energy, not Diggy energy. I’m not an idiot. I know Diggy’s energy can be managed with equipment. That’s my point. That’s part of the gameplay. There is NO EQUIPMENT for pets. There is no way to manage or improve the pet’s energy. Obviously no one actually read my review. Now my rating is down to one star, for replying without actually reading my comments, and for implying that I’m stupid.
I was open to this new pets concept at first. Unlike other reviewers, I don’t mind the pet following Diggy around. But the energy aspect is completely off. Now it doesn’t matter how much energy Diggy has, and how well you manage that. When the pet runs out of energy, you’re stuck. Energy regeneration is way too slow, and, critically, there’s NO way to improve it. There’s no equipment to speed it up, there’s no food to replace it. Your only option is to buy a small amount with gems. That cost real money. That’s it. There’s no gaming or sporting aspect to it, unlike the management of Diggy’s energy. As you progress, the pet tiles require more and more energy, like the regular tiles, but unlike Diggy, your pet’s energy regeneration never goes up. Energy capacity increases slightly, but energy regeneration is so glacially slow that it can’t even refill overnight. At least let us cook food for the pet!

Did not like the little pet addition. Bad enough it gets in the way but now I cannot continue in game because it doesn’t have energy. What a colossal bad idea in my opinion. Either give energy for it or remove it altogether. Used to be a fun game, now it looks like another one I will end up deleting because someone couldn’t leave well enough alone. This game has gone from being my favorite down to where I can no longer play because the annoying pet needs food and I will not spend money on the game. It deserves a zero star rating. Don’t waste your time downloading it folks, the developers don’t want you playing it unless you want to spend money to play.
Today I got play for a total of five minutes at best. The annoying little pet is a nightmare. For those of us who cannot afford to spend money on the game, we are out of luck. As much as I love playing the game, and for as many years as I have been playing, I am forced to have to give it up. Very bad move on the developers, but not surprising, they do seem to like getting stupid and alienating the players. I would give it a negative rating if I could, one star is too high a rating.

I have played this game for years. I used to enjoy this game but how I hate it. I don’t want to clear whole levels and honesty I don’t want to play it. This new pet feature is horrible. We don’t get a choice if we want it or not and it regenerates at such a slow rate. I refuse to spend money on a game. I thought it was annoying but tolerable when the ads started in the middle of play although it used to just happen when you wanted free energy. Now they added this pet feature in hopes generating more money. Because I’m order to play you have to use the stupid pet (which is always zigzagging around Diggy- this gives me a headache because of the pets constant movement)and the pet only gets a cookie every 6 hours. This cookie only gives the pet 23 energy points. Which is too little to play the event for longer than a few minutes. Which means you have to wait another 6 hours to play or spend your gems (and it takes forever to collect gems). If you use up all your gems, then they want you to spend real money to buy gems that can then be used to buy energy for the pet. No thank you.
I’ve also seen on here where the developers are asking people who have started to rate the game low to raise the rating as it doesn’t reflect how we used to feel about the game. Don’t bother. I won’t change my rating until you take this hideous new pet away.

I have been playing this game for years & absolutely loved it. Not so much recently, it is becoming highly obvious the designers are getting greedy & just want to force players to spend money to be able to play the game. The introduction of the pet, while a cute concept is making game play impossible. Not only is the pet an annoying distraction while navigating the boards it barely has any energy, which only refill every 4-6 hrs depending on which pet you use. The amount of energy given is minute (33) for what is expected (100s) to be used to get through each board. Leaving the player to have to purchase more energy using gems, and a lot of them, you spend over 100 gems & can’t get more than a 30 energy level, which then means the player would have to spend money on more gems. So only option left is to wait hours upon hours till the pets energy refills, just to be able to play for a couple mins, making it highly unlikely you will be able to complete the quests before they expire. It is ruining the game for me, I have already spent money to not have ads, as well as on energy bundles for Diggy. Now this dumb pet comes along that we are being forced to use. You need to REMOVE THE PET or allow it to gain energy like Diggy. If you don’t fix it I’m pretty sure you’re going to lose players based on other recent reviews, there are many people who hate the pet.

I have played this game for nearly two years. It was a lot of fun - challenging, but doable without spending real cash. It has a lot of ads, but I’m ok with that to keep the game free. However, a few months ago, the developer started inserting ads randomly, like between quest screens, with absolutely no benefit to the player. It’s just an annoyance. Then, a few weeks ago, 90% of the ads lock the game up. You have to close out and restart the game, of course not collecting the bonus or reward. I’ve lost thousands of energy, coins, and experience points. There seems to be no interest in fixing this. But, the very same ads play just fine in other games I frequent. This is making the game very much not fun anymore. Now, yesterday it changed the language in the game from English to a bunch of nonsense, so that you can’t tell what the heck you are doing. If you are a glutton for frustration , by all means, download this game. If not, I’d wait until they post a big banner here that the problems are fixed. As for me, I’m now searching for a new fun game that works.

I’ve been playing this game for many years, currently working my way through mars. Today, some idiot decided they were going to introduce random ads that don’t give any reward. Then, they offer to stop these random ads forever if you make a purchase. Well, I don’t like being blackmailed into spending money on a game. If they don’t rethink this poorly thought out plan to force people to spend money, I will abandon this game and they will lose all the ad revenue from the ads that serve a purpose and provide rewards. It’s bad enough there are blocks that cost 320,000 energy to collect on mars. This will be the final straw to make me delete this game. I will wait a few days to see if they change their tune, but if they refuse to drop this I’ll advised scheme, then I will be done with this game.

Edit: No, these new ads are not optional and they don’t give anything. It demands you make a purchase to make them stop. When I run out of energy and tap to go back to the camp to make sure it saves my progress, an ad pops up. There is no reward and it can’t be skipped. This practice is so incredibly greedy and anti-consumer it’s unbelievable that anyone thought it was a good idea. I’ll watch ads to receive rewards, but this is just nothing but greed. The fact that the person who responded to my review talked like they didn’t know what I was talking about says a lot about communication within the company.

The game is fun. When you first start out it’s really good, you level up quick, get supplies, cooking, materials, etc. for your camp and more energy for Diggy. As you go up, the blocks cost more energy. The only way to get energy is to make food in your camp and keeping up ingredients but it’s not a lot and it takes time to for the food to be made. So, you MUST spend money to get more energy. In later levels, it doesn’t matter what you do you will run out of energy quick. The only way to get more is to spend money. The cost of the blocks vs. the reward is not worth it. You level up by gaining experience points. In later levels the required experience to level up goes up, the energy cost per block goes up but the reward goes down so it takes MUCH longer to level up AND the only way to continue playing is spend Money. I have written support many time and told them about the flaws but nothing changes. If you like gaming, this is not for you, any of these games are not for you because you have to spend a ton of money to actually have fun, especially this one. On the PC or Console, once you have the game or download the game, that’s it. You just play until your bored with it, no extra money needed. Not with these apps. Go back to PC and Console. In the long run you save tons of money and this game is one of the MANY examples of why.

I have played Diggy’s for a few years on and off. I love the puzzles and trying to figure out how to maneuver an obstacle. I would love to enjoy the “pet” but I don’t. Short of piling a bunch of money into a feature I didn’t ask for, nor did I get a choice on the type of pet, now I have energy for Diggy, but not that stupid looking cat. So I have to wait. And as I don’t have huge amounts of time in my daily schedule, it means now I play less. It takes literally hours to get the power to fill to like 22. And then if you don’t make it back, that’s all the energy you have for that stupid cat. Probably ought to mention, not a big cat person. Not that that would have changed anything, it’s just an impediment to get you to slow down or pay an arm and a leg to power this impediment I didn’t ask for. Honestly I can’t imagine who thought this idea up and why you all thought it would be a positive. It’s annoying. I don’t care about the ads every time you turn around, I understand that from a financial point. At least when they are over I could go back and play some more. But you managed to take that away now didn’t you.

I absolutely love this game so much but, the only TWO problems I have with this game is a glitch that developed after I updated the game last and a part of the game that's always been there..

FIRST ISSUE : The glitch my game has now is i can be playing my game and set it down for a second and when my phone screen goes black, I try unlocking my phone and my game opens back up but only half my screen has the game and the other half of the screen is black.. the only way I can fix it is to completely force close the game and restart it which is a hassle sometimes because the games loads really slow a lot on my phone because it's old.

SECOND ISSUE : I don't understand why it has to be so hard to gain the wood planks you need to go to the underground camp and upgrade your energy.. I'm on level 88 and my energy level is at 545 per hour and my full energy is only at 4, 578... I've been playing this game for over a year now and I feel like I should have gotten enough wood planks to have a energy level way beyond what it's at. If I'm doing something wrong then I don't understand what it is because I make sure I clear all levels 100%. If anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it..

I downloaded this game last week and I haven’t stopped playing since. I love it and up until a few days ago I would have given it a five stars but it isn’t the same as it was at first. It’s almost impossible to dig more than ten or twenty blocks before you’ve run out of energy. At first you’re given lots of energy every day and find lots of energy throughout the game but now I only get enough to dig maybe twenty blocks and I’m out again. I understand they want you to purchase gems to buy energy but it shouldn’t run out that fast.

The top part was a review I thought I had already post but I undoubtedly forgot to hit send so I thought I’d add to it. I’ve been playing this game for about three months now and I’ve spent way too much money on gems so I can buy energy cause if not I probably wouldn’t be where I’m at in the game. I love this game but please make it a little easier to get energy cause I can’t spend any more money on it. I’ll just stop playing.

I normally don’t write reviews, but I love playing this game, graphics are great story’s are awesome and the updates just keep making the game better and better. This is the only game that I have downloaded and have kept for over 3 years and actually buy stuff for because I know that I will continue to play. Yes at first it was a bit frustrating I ran out of energy quickly etc.. then I realized that I was doing it all wrong I was just focusing on clearing the quest. If you clear the quest then go back and clear the level watch the add and get double for clearing the level you start leveling up quicker which means more energy coins gems etc.. keep those camels going materials maps getting cleared and before you know it you will have enough food to keep you going for as long as you want to play, if you play online even better. Follow them on FB they are always giving away free stuff. Needless to say I love the game don’t see myself uninstalling anytime. Keep up the good work guys!

I play a variety of games, and puzzle games are my favorite. Diggy’s Adventure has managed to keep my attention and provide enjoyment for longer than any other game, have Played Diggy’s adventure for several years now. (Without spending money). The game is varied enough to be fun and have a challenge, but consistent enough not to get so challenging you quit. The different story lines can be interesting, and I look forward to the special stories, which are usually silly and exaggerated, but fun to play and have high rewards in equipment.
Be sure to continually collect camp equipment in the store, and focus on digging out new camp slots. For me, this meant doing the repeatables on the materials map often. And resist the temptation to sell too many items. Once you get a full camp, and get Professors switch system, you will want most of them. Then sell to replace with higher value items.

I got this thinking I’d play it till I found something I really wanted it didn’t sound like a game I’d really be into. As I’ve played over the past three years I’ve really come to enjoy the puzzles and trying to level up. There are lots of ways to earn energy by cooking things and completing bonus games that come out a bunch of times per year. I started out not making anything because I kept running out of supplies. I spent the better part of a year hoarding and now I make things constantly and it would be very hard for me to run out of energy. This is a great casual game I play a few times per day. There’s something about this simple touch and go game and great puzzles to solve that keep me coming back everyday for years. They did add a nice watch a commercial feature for extra energy that’s great because I don’t buy things like lots of people do i play for free and have a great time. Thank you for keeping this game challenging and continuing to add new content to keep me coming back day after day for years and hopefully years to come.

The developers of DIGGY are to be congratulated for this brilliantly conceived and created game! I came to it by way of SEAPORT which is unique and challenging! I was so taken with the story lines and gorgeous artwork that I thought I’d try DIGGY’S Adventures! I have been playing a wide variety of mobile games for years and this is my all time favorite by far!!
One of the biggest complaints players have about a beloved game is that it’s too short, isn’t well supported after a few years or is lagging in updates…and the geniuses behind DIGGY avoided all these issues and are going strong with new additions constantly! And by the way, they actually listen to your feedback and make new content with players’ suggestions in mind! As the good hearted hero, Diggy, travels the world beginning in Egypt, he is challenged at every turn by new QUESTS. The foreign sites are not simply full of brain teasing puzzles but are heavily supported by clever and humorous encounters with scores of characters and the most beautiful and well executed artwork!
I really can’t say enough good things about DIGGY. I’ve played for hours every day (I’m retired) and have only scratched the surface of the rich content! Try it and you will thank these dedicated developers for bringing DIGGY to us all!!

Absolutely amazing game. There is so much to do and a lot of thought and planning in this game. There is a great balance of everything. No ads which is a huge plus. But you can watch ads to get more things like energy or extra rewards. I definitely love playing this game and I recommend this game to anyone and everyone. It is a very relaxing game as well.

On another note, the support services are absolutely amazing. I didn’t register my old account and ended up losing it. I submitted a ticket to attempt to get it back, with honestly no hope. I thought it was lost. But next thing you know, I received an email from the staff saying that they found my old account and synced it to my new registered account. They were quick, efficient, very nice, and had absolutely outstanding service. Just an amazing company producing amazing games!

I love puzzle games, and this one is a great combination of puzzles and adventure. In addition to the main quest line, there are side quests and special event quests to provide a nice variety; if you get bored or stuck or don’t have enough energy for one area, you can play in a different quest for a while and then come back. The energy system has been fair in my opinion; if you focus on expanding your “basement”, you can regenerate energy faster and store more, so that you can play for longer in one sitting. I love the resource areas to stock up on raw materials (or coins) when needed. I don’t do in-app purchases, and this game has been completely playable without dropping any real cash into it (and I’m currently at level 81). I can see playing this game for a long time; in addition to the regular quests, there are always new event quests being added to keep my interest. Highly recommended!

I downloaded this game for the puzzles in the ad. Of course, there are not that many puzzles. Many weeks? months? later, here I am still playing this game. Which is ridiculous, because there’s not even an option to pay to do away with all the ads, you have to view the ads in order to level up as fast as possible, or get more materials... and I’m not even complaining, really? I think it’s a pretty smart business plan and can’t begrudge them this?

Got off track a bit there. Anyway, I recently found out that if you play with the sound on, it gives you that satisfying “popping the bubble wrap” kind of audio feedback.

There’s story, of course, and lots of events and tons, TONS of content... I mean I am pretty sure I’ll never make it to Scandinavia at this rate, much less any of the other regions. So I’ll still be hooked for a long while...

I used to play this game all the time and really enjoyed it. I took a break for awhile as I got bored. However, I have renewed my interest in playing the game with my kiddo. Since I reinstalled the game it no longer works. I have tried to sign in multiple ways even starting over, but I can’t get passed the load screen which says server error. I have tried over and over again at different times and can no longer play the game which is disappointing.

*Update: customer service got in contact with me and it took some time and effort, but we finally got the game working again on my device and they were even able to restore my account. So I have updated my review to 5 stars due to the fun nature of the game and puzzles, but also because of excellent customer service that worked hard to assist me.

It holds your interest! The game is relaxing, but with goals that are not only interesting, but achievable! You get daily free gifts when you open the game, as well as other free gifts on the Diggy FB page, and weekly items that are heavily discounted! You absolutely could play this game for free! If you are like me, you would absolutely be willing to spend real-world money to play, because of how generous the game developers are! 😲💛 On top of that, the customer service is very, very responsive! Usually, they address any issue you have within a few hours. I've never seen a 'form answer' or waited more than 12 hours for a genuine, friendly response. If you choose to play, there are a few Diggy fan pages on FB that are helpful with answering questions and posting any giveaways. The BEST one is "Diggy's Guide to the Galaxy ". The Admins there are very knowledgeable and friendly. PLAY THE GAME...YOU'LL ENJOY IT IMMENSELY! 🥰
