Finally let it go

I’ve had this version of this app for several years but finally decided today to delete it from my phone. Why? Solitaire is by far the buggiest I’ve ever had. Many times when I’ve been in the middle of a game but put the phone down briefly, the screen has gone to black and frozen. The only fix is rebooting. (Yes, I downloaded all updates.) Also, like others, I’m incredibly annoyed by the barrage of ads. I get that you guys have to make money, but I would happily pay to turn off the ads. Worst of all, among the frequent challenges in the daily required goals is achieving a score of 80,000. Maybe the experts can achieve that in a brief time, but for mere mortals like me who have day jobs, it can take a couple of hours. And, of course, during that time I am subjected to dozens of ads running as long as 30 seconds each that I have to view to be able to move on. So I’m done. If you guys make it possible to buy one’s way out of the ads, I might be back. If not, you’ve lost me permanently.

Ads Hijack Phone/Take you to diff game

This is my favorite interface for this app, but app has serious problems with ads. Most recent prob (Feb 2022) is ads for other apps hijack phone. Ads take 30 -60 secs for game preview to play and then give you no way to return to the game. The only thing ad interface let’s you do is go to App Store and download advertised game. If you exit out of App Store, you go back to ad screen where the only option is to go to Solitaire Store. To get out of loop you must turn phone off and on. Previous problem with ads where you were prompted to upgrade app but it was really for a different this app game altogether. After update you’re taken to new/different game. Game is good but not worth the hassle with the ads.

Ads getting in the way of game play

IN A WORLD OF FREE APPS WITH ADS PICK A DIFFERENT ONE

I understand a free app needing ads but the timing of them is terrible. I really wanted to see how fast I completed a hand and I couldn’t because an ad popped up before showing my my results. I waited for the ad to show the x and I hit it and was redirected to two screens on my phone. I waited longer for the ad and tired again, and again and again. I actually had to force quit Solitaire to get out of the ad and when I reopened it started me on a new hand and I never got to see my results. The ads also got in the way of the task bar at the bottom so when I would try to start a new game I would have to mess around in Solitaire until the ad went away before I could do anything.

I’m going to find a different free app with ads that are in better spots.

Adds are aggressive and in your face

It’s great fun if it weren’t for the adds that are aggressive and aggravating. Some are loud and impossible to close. Sometimes they build up three deep ab even open up other apps. Get one closed and two more are behind it. Close them and more pop up. Fun but I just could not deal with the ads.

Update after reply - the user needs to be warned the ads are aggressive. They do not automatically close. The x to close it does not appear for awhile but when it does you have to find it. It’s often hidden and sometimes very very close to a link which opens a page in Safari, so you must be very precise as you touch the x to close the ad - often to find one or two ads behind it. If you miss the x and hit the link, I certainly worry about how safe the web site is. User be ware!

The games are fun but the ads ruin it

I love playing this app when I am listening to a book. I don’t mind the ads but lately there have been ads that you can’t close at all! Even after the required time the only option is to be sent to iTunes and buy the game. There is no X to close it and it does not matter how long you wait there is no way to return to the game. I have resorted to deleting Solitaire and then reinstalling it. I also now try to play solely on airplane mode to avoid this ad. I would be willing to pay for the game so please just charge me for Solitaire !! The ad is even for another solitare game! Try being a bit more selective. The ad that is stopping me from using your app is for a competing app!

Used to be good

I have been playing this game for years. This was a great game but like many companies Mezzen appears to have gotten greedy. Ads that were normally either 15 or 30 seconds long have now become 45 to 60 seconds long for the norm. On top of already having to double click to get out of the add they are now using deceptive tricks hiding the click out buttons such as fake buttons, delayed buttons and color washing the X so u can hardly see it. Ads sounds are also inconsistent now. Even though I hv no sound selected some ads still come thru with full sound and even worse some ads no longer hv a mute button forcing me to quickly turn the ph volume down. These things never used to be an issue but over the last year plus they have really gone downhill. Looking for a new this app game now.

Could have been perfect

I downloaded this game because of the review I read that said this game didn’t force updates like all the others, I’ve had it 3 days and enjoyed it but now, like all the others, it’s trying to force me to upgrade!! I’ve downloaded every single this app game on Solitaire Store and deleted them all for the same reason and it really upsets me, I DO NOT LIKE the upgrades on the games at all. This is a simple game that’s been enjoyed for many generations and it’s a shame that no one will just leave it alone!! It’s not like some busy games where an upgrade may be needed but I’d at least like to have the opportunity to choose for myself. I guess if I want to play this app I’ll have to go buy a deck of cards and do it old school. I’m very disappointed. Deleting it for sure.

Can Hardly Play Around Constant Ads

I generally like the setup of this game so I find it eternally frustrating that you cannot open Solitaire , start a new game, end a game, or reopen Solitaire if you've toggled from one app to another for a few moments without being bombarded with ads. They will even interrupt your game (the timer will continue running on your game so hope you weren't trying to beat your own score), and about half of the ads have no means by which to "X" out of them ANYWHERE. Not hidden on black-on-black, no in the very corner of the screen – you plain cannot get out of them and back to your game. Restarting Solitaire or even locking/unlocking your phone and restarting Solitaire won't work – the same unclosable ad will continue to appear, making Solitaire nearly unusable.

Tons of ads and repeatedly reloading restart

I was super excited when I found this game—my other one had changed
The way it operated and made it impossible to play—this game had been wonderful—so fun and back to the way I enjoyed playing—over the last 30 days or so there has been a change—tons of ads, which are annoying but I could have dealt with it but every time I go to play the game it forces me to keep clicking on new game 3 or 4 times before I finally can start playing—with each new game click it reshuffles and pops up 3 or 4 ads—this is getting extremely irritating—this needs to get fixed—i understand the need for ads so that “bills” can get paid—but come on—it should not take 2-3 minutes to finally get into a game—often times that game is un-win-able......if you keep playing 4 or 5 games the ads and restart thing happens but you can finish and win some of the games.....whatever changed, change it back......

Good game, but with a lot of ads

At first, it was fine with one ad each new game, but is seemed a recent change has increased the amount of ads in between games and starting new ones. Some of these will not allow to be skipped until 5-7 seconds have passed, which would be tolerable if they were the only ads with less frequency. Now some ads are immediate repeats of the ones you have closed: “You just closed an ad to our game? That’s fine, here is a different ad to that same game!” While I know ads are important for a free game: repeated and unskippable ads will more than likely make people less inclined to purchase the product. Considering going with a different app.

If you like ads, this is for you

If you like ads, and especially the ads that last for almost two minutes, this is your game. If in particular you like ads for bras, and shapers, and diet plans, this is your game.
Actually, the game itself is fine, and enjoyable enough that I play it daily. I turn it on, and go heat up my coffee while the first ad runs. Then I play a game, and then I go load the washer while the next ad runs, and then play another game. Then I turn it off. It is fun, but the ads are far too time consuming.
As of July 2020, the ads have become quite aggressive in their persistence. One in particular simply will not close. Surprisingly, it features Dr. Oz.

Ads are bad

I used to love this game, I played regularly, everyday in fact. However with this latest update, it has ruined the game. Way to many ads and they are way to long. They are very frustrating and don’t make the game enjoyable. I understand the needs for ads, to make money for the game, but at some point enough is enough. It’s just way to much and to long. I have found other classic this app games that have fewer and shorter ads. I guess the greed got to the developers of a simple this app game. I would definitely not recommend Solitaire, just for those reasons. If things are that tight and the deboned the money, then maybe they shouldn’t have Solitaire and should do something else with their lives.

Good game

I like the game, but the amount of ads in these apps are very frustrating. As has been complained about in numerous reviews, this company is all about putting ads on their games instead of making a good app. If there is someone that actually cares about making a good free app, and not just making a dollar, then they’ll remove 90% of the ads. But there are just so many ads, and then you get into an ad that you can’t get out of, so you have to remove Solitaire , then reinstall it. Truly a pain, but again all this company cares about is making huge amounts of money. They have multiple apps out. And they are all the same way. Ads, ads, ads.

Ads

I love this game and play daily. However the ads would open one window and you could fast forward thru the ads. Now you go to fast forward and another screen pops up so we have 2 screens to get thru now. It’s very annoying and I’ve accident clicked on the 2nd screen multiple times!!! Get rid of the 2nd screen that pops up and it would be a 5. New players be ready for tons of ads and more screens to pop up on you. It’s very easy to click on the 2nd one where it tries to trick you into getting whatever app that pops up and it’s ridiculous. Yes it’s free to play but the ads have gotten out of control! We need an option to buy where we don’t get the ads!!!!

Review

I have been playing this game for more than a year it’s great to train the reflexes and keep your mind sharp. The reason why I do not switch to another this app game is because the music is very relaxing. The only thing I must critic is the amount of increased publicity screens between each game. The worse is the advertisement on the bottom of the screen. It is almost annoying. I do not look down anyway when I play I am busy and I always ignore it.
But overall it’s good I am hooked on this game.
Thank you

Idea for improving usage of ads

I have played here since 2018. I don’t remember the ads being quite this bad. You mention the ads running 5-7 seconds; is that per ad? Does that take into account pressing the x and done then another x if you can figure out which corner of the screen it is? Put the dismiss button in the top right corner and big enough to actually see it. Otherwise you may press on the ad and start the process over and over again. At this point charging a dollar or two may be easier on us both.

Solitaire

I enjoy this game greatly. I've played most of the free this app games for several hours. Yours is the best - hard enough to challenge, easy enough not to be frustrating. Good job! Today my update is the same 5+ rating. There's nothing better than this this app making time fly when you are stuck waiting somewhere.

Two more things I like about this Solitare - 1) The cards are brightly legible. When iPhones are as readable as, say, the old 386s, that’s important. 2) I also like the various changes you make to your decks. It is nice to use the “winning game”, it’s reliable. Also, it is good to know that you’ll produce a winning game even at 5:30 in the afternoon or 2:47 am some bleak winter night. Good job to your efforts to keep your game The Best !!!!

Bullseye

This is a really great app it taught me how to play this app very quickly, it saves your work, and teaches you all you need to know about this app and it is just so nice, but there are 2 things I don’t enjoy much first of all I don’t like the pop-up ads but all I have to do is x out of it and I go back to my game, second I don’t care much about this one but it is that on some of the games there is a little gray bar that says, “no useful move are detected please tap here to start a new game” so I tap on it and it starts me all over again, but I don’t think that one is important much. Otherwise this is a great appand I think you guys should really get it if you like to lay this app or if you’re just looking for a new game to play!

The only Solitaire I play

I tried other this app games and eventually deleted them. This one I’ve played over and over for more than two years. Best feature: It lets you keep going through the draw pile, allowing for strategy when you will use a card. Secondly, in the card face options is a great one you can see clearly, rather than the ones that imitate actual cards (hard to distinguish on a cell phone). Thirdly, ads clear very quickly, letting you get on with the next game if an ad doesn’t apply to you. (Although, I often play on bed, and the sudden blare of an ad with sound effects is not good!) Overall, the only thing I’d change is the annoying harp sound when cards move, and the dancing cards while waiting for my final score. Finally, thanks for making a great game!!

Best card games made by yuall on this site

I enjoy this one of many card games that I've been playing. Keeps my brain healthy and on point thanks to your games. I thank you for all your support on keeping disabled people like myself hope and great excessive thought process in our brains. I'm totally satisfied with all you all are doing to help people like me hope and a break from this world of hatred and disappointments of which races have it worse than others. We all are created equal by our father in heaven above.
God Bless and praise God you all care for one another in Jesus glory name. Amen.
