MEEFF requires your location, and it's basic functions refuse to work without that, EVEN if you choose to search for people without regard to location. So the demand for your location is 100% based on a false need, therefore very likely used to spy on you.

The community is lousy, with lots of scammers and fakes. People on MEEFF are among the least friendly.

The ads are constantly appearing and blocking your use of MEEFF . If you pay $4 to stop the ads it is only good for a month! 😳 This would be reasonable price to turn off ads permanently, but for a MONTH for such a bad app? No way!

This review is coming from a female. I have owned MEEFF many times and it was good before but I downloaded MEEFF and realized even with all genders allowed there are no females. The reason for being is many delete MEEFF due to all the perverts. Some won’t even put that their a pervert in their bio, they’ll try to sweet talk you. Like “I love you” and “I want to marry you”. I talked to a boy just as friends and I thought it was weird he said these things but he seemed really nice. But then he said to me “meef is only for sexual purposes, you shouldn’t get MEEFF ”. Although it’s a language exchange app, many people use it for sexual purposes. Ladies protect yourselves.

First of all, i’ve been using this app for over 4+ years. I love it… but they make the strangest decisions and add secret updates that ruin functionality. Recently they added a subscription program for 17 WHOLE DOLLARS. What does it give you? No ads, a premium badge,TEN RUBIES ONCE A DAY(they say 300) and a “vip profile”. Now what’s a VIP profile? They don’t mention it. Not only that, the 300 rubies isnt instant. Instead you’re using a battlepass system to just get 10 daily for 30 days. Its incredibly deceptive and I’m disappointed in this app. THERE ARE NO UNLIMITED LIKES WITH VIP!! You still have to pay 1 ruby for 10 likes when you reach the limit. What is the point of having vip?! Also, you can remove ads for 1 month for $4. So is the extra $12 really worth it? It’s a scam. this app, do better. Provide more features for such a high subscription. Other apps have similar or lower pricing but offer way more in comparison. I’m a long time user so I don’t want to see this die

very bad app. why is that? because you are talking to someone. and all of a sudden the person you're talking to disappears (no blocking or anything). Application developers do it weekly when refreshing servers or backing up databases. but actually they should do it right away. because he is texting every second. result. You're losing the person you're talking to. and there seems to be no chance of finding it again. Also, the admins don't care about the problem. You can suddenly get banned. when there is no reason. And when you are banned, your ip address is banned. You cannot open a new account. they did this for spam. but spam can be reused. normal user is having trouble out of nowhere. I cannot give 5 stars to MEEFF.

I'm going to keep it relatively brief. Matched with a whole lot of people (~100 in a single day!), only 3% were looking for friends. The problem with MEEFF is (despite being laggy-buggy) that it positions itself as a platform to befriend people. That is so deceiving. I mean, when I figured this "place" out and deleted some pics, got a notification that said it's not the best move if you want to match with more people, and one of the options to close the notification was something like "maybe later, baby". Ok but... Aargh. And if you think a simple "no pervs! not interested!!!" in your bio will stop the horde... hate to break it for you, it won't. Whatsoever. So, you want to just mess around or have naughty chat? Welcome to this app! Want to meet long term friends? Meh, try some other app.

this app advertises the VIP premium subscription as including “Ad removal” and “a total of 300 Bonus Rubies.”

Two weeks after paying for the VIP subscription I realized I never got the 300 Bonus Rubies. When I contacted this app, they said I’m supposed to click on “Daily Bonus Ruby” for 10 rubies a day for 30 days. But this was NEVER stated nor explained anywhere in MEEFF . And this app’s response was basically “screw you, we’re not doing anything about it. Try getting a refund through Google or Apple Pay.. oh oops it’s way past the deadline for that so too bad. Good luck.”

I will be filing a complaint with iTunes and the FTC and you should too. It’s just outright false and misleading advertisement.

I’m gonna spit the truth and nothing but the truth honestly I had MEEFF on and off for awhile because of storage space on my phone because I have lots of photos and videos of kpop so I redownloaded it a few times here and there but each time I do it’s just if your female and sometimes even foreign and you look good and you want to make friends on this app, that isn’t MEEFF to be looking for friends. most of the korean guys on their are perverts even if they don’t look like it at first they are, and they will eventually ghost you especially if they start saying they like you they wanna date you come to your country and see u ... no no no sweetie that’s all lies don’t fall into that trap. Look I’m not gonna lie I’m a good looking girl but lemme tell you I’ve gotten ghosted plenty of times from dudes on MEEFF so if you just wanna troll dudes on here go for it but if you’re looking for a serious relationship don’t and I didn’t mention that why would you look for a boyfriend on here when he still has a dating app and can be talking to other girls while “dating you” even if he says “oh yes jagiya I deleted MEEFF don’t worry you’re the only girl I’m talking to” he might send you a screenshot showing how he deleted it but watch he’s gonna get right back again mean I hope I’m not the only one thinking have a dating app while also having a girlfriend is pretty strange correct me if I’m wrong !

I was truly enjoying MEEFF and had made friends from it—but my account was randomly terminated. I never engaged in anything against the guidelines (no perversion, no using someone else’s pictures, etc.,) and was never even rude to anyone on MEEFF . I hoped it was a glitch and tried to make another account, only for that account to again be banned in seconds.

I want to like MEEFF, but it’s very difficult when I have been wrongly banned and can’t even make another account. I don’t know if I can support an app where you can be banned at random without doing anything wrong. It was nice while it lasted, I guess. I’m just extremely disappointed.

this app needs to do a better job at verifying profiles and making sure they are legit. There are way too many people out there who are trying to get people to invest in something sketchy and also people who move super fast and try to get you to send them money. There needs to be a way to determine if the person is real, take note of what badoo and bumble are doing. I will say I have met some people and they are helping me learn another language. But the number of fake profiles exceeds the number of foreign language teachers/friends. Step up your game, this app.

I feel like MEEFF is okay but what really bothers me is that it has too many purposes
Some people want friends, other want to date, and then most want adult things.
I feel like it would be better if there was another app that all the perverts could go to instead of bothering people that just want friends.
MEEFF bumble is both for friendship and dating but you can choose when you sign up if you are looking for people who want friends or people who want to date and it’s really convenient when they match you with the right people to talk to based on what you came on MEEFF for. If I compare this app to bumble I see this app as extremely inconvenient when it comes to making ensuring the people with the same purposes talk on MEEFF .

I joined because I wanted to find some language partners but MEEFF is set up too much like tinder that I can’t tell if it’s purpose is for dating or for language learning. It’s okay for finding people who speak the language you want to learn, but there’s not much to do beyond chatting. No built-in tools for language correction, no other ways to read the language you want to learn other than to chat. Once you start chatting it’s so buggy that the experience isn’t very pleasant. Messages are all out of order or get sent multiple times to the post that you can’t keep track of the conversation. HelloTalk is a better alternative. If you do use this you’re better off making a connection and then moving it to a more stable messaging app.

Just like all apps where you’re looking to make friends or date or do language exchange it’s all been overrun by either annoying promoters asking for you to follow them on Instagram or sub to their channel or it’s full of perverts. I came to MEEFF a few times looking for some korean friends, I wanted to do language exchange with them as well as make some Japanese friends because at the time I was heavy set on learning the language for when I ever traveled to Japan. Horribly enough it’s not the best idea, the time zone is bad which isn’t the worst thing, but it means you talk so little whoever added you back, also you’ve got men in their 30s adding 18 year olds or people wayy too young for them, and when you think the conversation is going good, their nice side starts to slip and it’s revealed that they really just want nudes etc. I really wish it was better.

I first downloaded MEEF when I was fourteen; at the time I was trying to learn Korean to be able to watch Korean dramas, and listen to Korean pop music without needing English translations. I was young, impressionable, and eager to learn— willing to learn from anyone who was willing to help. Unfortunately those I found who were willing to help me were as old as 27. The youngest being 23. Looking back at it, these men did not want to teach me their language, they wanted to take advantage of me. They said some very disturbing things which has affected me still to this day. I am eighteen today, and the reason I’m writing a review is not to blame all my mistakes upon the programmers, but to make sure you all know that MEEF is not a safe place for children. Make it IMPOSSIBLE for children to contact adults, and please, please make it impossible for adults to contact children. We are only children for so long, help keep us safe. I wasn’t. Thank you.

I’ve been using MEEFF for about a month now, and haven’t really had issues until today. I’ve found a lot of interesting and fun people on MEEFF , as well as some creepers and scammers, but that’s every app now. Like, you say you’re in South Korea, but your time zone says Middle East... Today, I’m chatting with someone and suddenly it kicks me out and says I’ve been banned. What? How? Why??? There is no reason I should have been banned. I am who I say I am and even included my social media info so people could see for themselves that I want a fake account. My name was ToriDAllen. I’ve tried emailing about the issue and have had no reply yet.

I was excited to find MEEFF, but have been disappointed. I have had 6 different profiles try to match with me that have the same man in the picture. These are clearly scammers but when you report them there is not action being taken to block the users. There are too many profiles that are fake, scammers or people just trying to talk investment. It’s really annoying when you’re just trying to meet real people from around the world. Hopefully the developer will come up with a before system to reduce the amount of fake profiles.

I was excited when I found MEEFF. It’s what I thought I was looking for. However, I was soon disappointed. Not really in MEEFF , not really in the idea. All of that was great, however when I started receiving notifications of people wanting to talk, I was disappointed when over 10 people later plus, not a single one of them was not spam. Every single person I got notified wanted to talk to me ended up sending a message with a link to some sex site. Yes, every single contact I had was Spam. If there was a way to rid that it would be perfect.

But until then I’m not gonna spend money to get jewels or whatever it was that you need to connect to people cause I it be a waste of money sadly. I hope others have better luck then I did with MEEFF!

I've had MEEFF for quite awhile now, it's just recently MEEFF won't let me in. I get stopped while it's loading and wants me to enter my birth date. As I do, I click accept and it keeps saying I can't enter that birth date since it's not valid. I've tried restarting MEEFF and deleting it and looking back in but nothing works. I'm not the only one though. My friends have also faced this problem yet they got in easily. Please fix this problem. Thank you.

I’m glad I found MEEFF before my trip to Korea. I was able to make online friends who turned into really great life long friends. Coming from the US, you really are hesitant to do something like this. But I was able to meet korean (females—in my case) who wanted foreign friends and to learn American culture. Jinnie, Amy, Hannah, Michelle, were all so sweet to me and spoke pretty good English. I can’t attest for everyone on MEEFF , but most profiles were CLEAR as to who and what they expected from the online friendship. So just read the profiles and remember 🙅🏻‍♀️ no pervert 🙅🏻‍♀️ haha.

Thank you this app helping me to find the right one in my life. In Korea, there are people who are still very conservative meeting someone from app or online. MEEFF is actually not a dating app but language exchange app. 2018 Oct, I downloaded MEEFF to meet new people, started talking and found this amazing guy who has a nice heart and beautiful soul. (+ good looking;) We are getting married this year in 2020! I want to encourage my friends to embrace the adventure with this app who wants to meet new people and learn new culture.

I have had this app for a long time and MEEFF is nearly perfect. The people who made MEEFF block bad accounts quickly, and they aren’t money hungry like most friend meeting apps. Many would charge large sums of money to talk to people who might not even respond, but MEEFF lets you make plenty of friends with very few ads. It can crash sometimes if you have lots of chats, but I think MEEFF can only get better as time passes.

Hello, recently I had an account and while logging it keeps freezing and saying service Error so I decided to log out and put a new password in and once I did that it says type in birthday which I have done already but then again it keeps saying it so I try it again and it won’t log me into my account I try again and still it is not working and it keeps saying service Error it has been like this all day I want this issue to be fixed quickly so I am able to log into my account please!

MEEFF has usually been working pretty well, but suddenly tonight it asked me for my birthday and when I entered it and went to see my chats, all my previous chats were gone, despite seeing the notifications on my phone. I exited out of MEEFF but now when I try to go back in, it asks for my birthday again, but now will not accept the “change” to my birthday. Now I can’t get in at all and I’m worried that I’ve lost all my previous chats.

So I have liked MEEFF so far, but once I start actually making friends and talking to people, MEEFF lags!

My notifications will show a message come through but the message won’t show in MEEFF for 2-5 minutes? How am I supposed to make friends and keep them if this keeps happening?

If the lagging stopped and the perverts were sorted out before they had a chance to create an account, then I would give MEEFF 5 stars.

I'd say when a user(s) has good and fun intentions for MEEFF , it works like a charm. (excluding the perverted stuff, etc obviously) So no complaints there really. The only thing I'd ask for is the addition of my actual first language. (Hmong/Hmoob/Moob) Or an option to put Other. Aside from the English language (my 2nd language), I wish it had my tongue of talk as well. Otherwise I'm currently stuck with a "secondary" language that I learned in high school 4-5 years ago.

So MEEFF is actually pretty good it has really nice people there's also some pervs but which app doesn't have them, you just need to be safe and make sure to report them, anyways my only problem is that when I enter MEEFF it says server error and it doesn't load I came to see if any people experience this to, and some have this problem to, if this would be fixed MEEFF would be great😄👍

This a great app and I’ve met wonderful people, but the notifications are not great. I only get notifications of new friends and when they are ready to chat, but once in the chat room, I don’t get notifications of the messages. I also get only the banner style notifications and would love the notification bubbles. Aside from that, it’s one of the better apps to meet language exchange friends.

Over All , I’d Like To Say I Really Enjoy MEEFF ~~ It Had It’s Fair Share Of Perverts But Every App Does . That Being Said, I Feel As If It Could Be Better By Adding Maybe A ‘Going Live’ Option . The Friend Requests Be So Overwhelming At Times And I Don’t Have Rubies To Buy . So Maybe Being Able To Go Live And Talk To Multiple People In Real Time Would Be Easier And Even Fun Too ~ ^^ Although It’s Just A Suggestion , I Would Definitely Participate In MEEFF Alot More If It Was Available :)

Okay I did that already with the gender, distance, etc but it still does the same thing and I’m looking for Koreans but it takes me to the same people even if I keep scrolling for a long time/there used to be different ages of people I wish it wasn’t 18 and up I can’t find a lot of people my age.
