Dependable and powerful lighting as promoted. Too many times have I purchased an outdoors product with expectations from advertisement capability, just to be let down. Cost is affordable for quality of purchase. Thought had problem with battery, contacted customer service, same day reply and with just a couple communications the rep had me back up and running. Was simple human error(mine). Am an outdoors recreation and hunting guide. Clearly lighting is of UTMOST necessity. Recommend PETZL to all fellow colleagues. In my circle of ppl in same industry are almost all using PETZL with satisfaction on professional level. CANNOT operate without lighting. No room for error/malfunction in real time operations in deep country. Therefore PETZL is my go-to equipment of choice. Confidently recommend to all, for personal and professional use. It’s the first time I have ever encountered an iOS app where you can’t close or get past the “on-boarding” or initial tutorial screens. The last screen has a very small “X” in the top right corner - right under the battery level indicator - that no matter how hard you try, it cannot be accessed. My suggestion would be to Q/A MyPetzlLight on an iPhone X and re-submit to MyPetzlLight Store. As for the rest of MyPetzlLight , well I have no idea. Can’t get to it. C’mon Petzl ! You can do better.

A little while ago I was in trekking profile in the MyPetzl Light light app and it does not control the lamp only in live mode does it control the intensity of the light but in for instance trekking or other profile you have to use the lamp itself to control MyPetzlLight I think they should make MyPetzlLight control the lamp itself that’s what those categories are for in like trekking you have reactive constant and red pressing on those in MyPetzlLight should control the lamp

Did anyone bother to test this on the iPhone X? You can't even close the onboarding slide flow because the "X" to close it is to high and falls behind the upper right signal/battery icons.

Additionally, the you can't click between the "Petzl" and "My Profiles" tabs at the top of the Profiles page. I'm guessing this in another iPhone X isssue because the Petzl logo in the upper right is behind the signal/battery icons again.

Come on, these issues should be caught before pushing it to MyPetzlLight store.

This kind of worked, once, with a Reactik+. Then after programming the light, it would not connect again, no matter how many times I re-paired. Had to return the light because the light/app combo is so bad.

I have tons of Petzl climbing gear, but this experience seriously damages my opinion of them as a company.

I use MyPetzlLight to check my headlamp battery. Works fine on the iPhone X.

I removed the headlamp from my app and now it will not reconnect. It connected to my iPad, but will not reconnect to iPhone. Makes the headlamp a bit useless, because I can no longer change on the go (who brings an iPad where you need a headlamp).

I can’t even get past the home screen with app introductions on the iPhone X. Definitely not what I excepted from a company like Petzil. It’s as if they found the least expensive app developer and went with them.

Seems pretty worthless on my iPhone 11. Doesn’t work at all. I also have a Pixel 4 and it works ok. I know you say that it now works with this phone, but that is not my experience.

Disastrous app, doesn't work. Don't by NAO+ as MyPetzlLight does not work. Petzl should be utterly ashamed of putting this junk out. Avoid Petzl, expensive garbage. I am utterly sick of hardware producers who try connectivity, employ a garage app developer and end up with this rubbish.

On the latest version of MyPetzlLight on iPhone 8 and the impressive NAO+. They won’t pair. I’m sure it’s a hassle to fix but it’s a $200 headlamp from a respected company. Please put the necessary resources into fixing this or stop marketing MyPetzlLight .

I set third reactive level on my nao plus but it was probably not transferee to headlamp because lamp switches only between two levels not three.

Why rely on a rechargeable battery in the cold when you can’t recharge? Use batteries. Also, I usually can’t connect Bluetooth even indoors. Going to get a different light.

Says non paired device available but will not pair. I have no way to turn off the rear blinking red light. Nice for mountaineering but not good for around the camp fire.

Great app - cannot wait for the Apple Watch app to launch!

When will MyPetzlLight be compatible with iPhone X?

Worked with my old phones. Alas, no more. C’mon guys...

MyPetzlLight is useless. Will be returning headlamp.

Like the concept, interface, and find the functionality basically there. But there are enough glitches to make using MyPetzlLight frustrating and confusing (i've only played with it for an hour so far, so maybe I'll get the hang of it with more time, but I think it shouldn't take that long for something this basic). Glitches include: when changing settings in a profile, sometimes they won't be reflected when looking at the profile again without force quitting and restarting MyPetzlLight ; sometimes certain elements of the interface will become overlapped. More generally, there is no documentation and the differences between the beam patterns and the different profiles it's not always that obvious.
