I’ve been using DoneHappyProductivity for the past week and have been enjoying it. I like the “goals” feature immensely, as it helps separate tasks that are part of my personal life versus work life. Sadly, though, like all apps, this one has its flaws. One particular flaw that’s annoying and confusing is that goals and events are two independent entities; goals do not disappear, and all repeatable tasks stick to them, but DoneHappyProductivity itself marks goals as events. This is an issue for two reasons:
1) Whenever you move onto another day, some tasks will not carry over; some of them don’t even repeat as you would like.
2) Regular tasks and eventful tasks are still the same, but goals always equal events, so naturally, they take priority than regular ones do not.
My main concern is that these essentially forces to you male regular tasks for a single day, as some tasks will never carry over to other days if you want them to repeat, disheartening. I would have liked it if I could have tasks repeat endlessly until I say otherwise, but they do not work. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I feel like it’s a feature issue than a bug because it will carry over some tasks, but not all. Anyway, if I figure something out, I’ll retract this review and give it five stars, but until then, it’s four stars for this tiny inconvenience.
