I finally found someone with similar interests to talk to. We started chatting and was about to exchange instagrams so we can talk via there. I go to open HeyVINA and went into chat. I can see that the person sent me a message but HeyVINA wouldn’t update the chat. I exited out of HeyVINA and then turned it on again. It logged me out! I tried logging back into my account. I have the correct email and password because I receive emails from HeyVINA . Won’t let me log in says Facebook not authorized... I try logging in via instagram and then I get stuck on a loading screen. I have another iphone which I downloaded HeyVINA and tried to log in. It says the same thing facebook not authorized and then I get stuck on a loading screen for Instagram login option. Way to go app to get my hopes up then crush it! I just want a friend to talk to 😭

I was so disappointed to find out that after diligently filling out my profile and swiping on potential friends in my area, I could not even see the people who swiped right on me. Forget not being able to send them a message! I see women listing their Instagram handles in their profiles just to be able to communicate. Why should I have to pay for a feature that should be included in by default?? What is the point of being able to see people’s profiles without being able to chat with them? Furthermore, I have also seen men’s profiles, which I do not understand why they are allowed on a woman-only space. I thought this was an empowering move in focusing on fostering friendship between women and building a support network. Why are there so many men’s profiles? Is there no screening being done at all?

Initially I open this account with my Facebook profile. As of January 1, 2019 I decided to delete all forms of social media. Since then I have not been able to log into my account and there is no option to login via email. I met a 3 people. It does give the option upon opening HeyVINA to sign up FB or IG which I CHOOSE to have neither. It also says “sign up and get notified when we have an alternative”. It’s probably been like that since they first released HeyVINA and so I’ll ask, when exactly are they going to create an alternative??? I guarantee it’s been over a year since they’ve had that notification up there. And when they do, will it link up with my previous profile information? If by the end of the year they don’t have an email option, I’m just going to delete HeyVINA itself because it’s not worth having something taking up space on my phone that I cannot use. I’m glad it works out great for some though.

HeyVINA will NOT stop charging me. I never signed up for their service, I don’t want their membership and even during the time they kept charging me I never had any of these “VIP” perks. They were charging my card meanwhile HeyVINA was still trying to get me to sign up to be charged. I had to dispute everything, send them an email back in JULY, to which they’ve assured me they aren’t charging me anymore and have “cancelled” my VIP membership. I have had to keep my credit card blocked from the Apple playstore ever since then, all because I’m scared to be charged by VINA. I thought ok enough time has passed (I literally have not been able to download any new apps in the meantime because Apple is blocking my account due to the dispute). The MOMENT it got unblocked, guess what, I have a new $5.99 charge from VINA. AGAIN. Despite being assured my membership is cancelled via email! It’s literally impossible to get them to stop charging you. BEWARE before downloading and installing!

I downloaded HeyVINA, but it seems confusing to use. I’ve done all the quizzes and tried to meet people, but it’s just not working for me. I’ve only gotten a few matches and I would say most of these profiles are inactive. I actually saw one of my friends being listed as in my area when I know she moved to another state a year ago, so HeyVINA isn’t keeping track of people’s locations. I also saw another girl who was here last year for an internship and moved away after that period. There’s also not enough pictures of the people so I don’t know if they are real or fake accounts. I’ve had on and off issues logging into my account. Also it seems like people on here just want to chat and aren’t interested in actually meeting up. I’ve talked to about 7 or 8 people and tried to get conversations going. I even said to multiple people I’m interested in meeting and they just say they are, then nothing really comes out of it when I actually ask to meet up. Disappointing app. Probably going to delete it soon.

I activated the fb account that I had deactivated. It isn’t good for me. Then there is a required question about job. Hm. I’m on a health break after major chronic illnesses. I was homebound for almost a year and am still recovering. As I’m getting better, I had the dumb idea that I could meet new people. I have good and bad days. Meetup is for groups, making it hard for social anxiety as well as the point when I have to disclose things about my condition so people understand why I only eat a few foods, or maybe so they understand an autoimmune flare. It always comes up and it’s embarrassing. I used to meet friends on okcupid, but I have a bf now. I can’t complain, I know how the unemployed are perceived and it isn’t favorably. Want friends? Be on Facebook every two seconds like most people and don’t lose your job.

I love the concept behind HeyVINA, but HeyVINA itself and the service behind it is not acceptable for a paid subscription. HeyVINA crashes quite often and the ways of sorting out the types of people you see are very limited compared to similar platforms.

I’d tried the free trial they offered for VIP and it ended up rolling into the next paid month; however, despite being billed for the immediate month my VIP disappeared after the free trial ended and when I contacted support, we went through several days of them telling me to basically hit the refresh button (which never worked). I lost an entire week of the month I paid for, and they never even contacted me to tell me when the mistake was resolved. I just logged onto HeyVINA later to find I miraculously had VIP again.

The VIP subscription is not worth getting in current state. I’m actually surprised they are offering it to the general public for how unrefined it is.

So the concept is there. Meet other gals and find pals. Cute layout and easy to navigate. The downfall is that in order to see your “Heys” you have to pay. I have a suspicion that they withhold the other Heys for you to Hey back and get a Ditto in the algorithm. The first review is “hey be patient...” and there are others similarly written and can only guess those are fake reviews. I get that coding and company upkeep isn’t cheap, but there are better apps that are completely free and just as effective for finding friends.

Give the opportunity to naturally Hey back with all ladies or at least give ladies a completely free trial for the first week or first three days, based on emails. If that were the case, I would have paid $6 for one week to hey back new ladies. Even if it was just once a month. Otherwise, this is a ridiculous app that is focused on money grabbing, not the overall message of make lady friends. I will be using another app because this one is disappointing.

Paid for HeyVINA several times and I set my age settings for older women 40’s and above and for some reason I always get profiles of young girls like in their 20’s so don’t feel that age appropriate settings work at all on HeyVINA. Also noticed that the few women that are closer to my age group and I’ve communicated with and met in person are not really looking for a real friend but rather someone to use for transportation to go to places. Also some women are on here cause they have broken up with their boyfriend on a temporary basis then when they go back to boyfriend, they leave the friendship hanging and they never keep in touch again. This has happened more than once so I’ve given up on trying to pay for membership services. Feel that lots of women on here are inconsistent with friendships.

So, HeyVINA CONSTANTLY crashes.. I am not sure why or if it’s cause it needs an update but it’s truly frustrating! I think there should be a free trial period to see if the VIP status would even be worth it and buying a week of VIP for $5.99 is truly OUTRAGEOUS even if it is going to the cost of operations for HeyVINA . I completely understand the need for that but without a free trial I will NOT ever be purchasing VIP no matter how promising it may seem. I moved to a new town and all I want is to be able to meet new people and find friends as an adult without the daunting costs of ANOTHER subscription to do so. I’d rather deal with stupid Ads than pay $5.99/week or even the other subscription amounts... I love the beautiful layout and concept SO SO much just wish some things could change and be updated to fit ALL needs of the everyday user.

HeyVINA has a lot of potential. But there a few problems I have. HeyVINA is for WOMEN, and I’m seeing that there are a lot of shady profiles coming up on my feed. I think to avoid talking to creeps (men posing as women), maybe there can be a way you can verify yourself by taking a real photo. These suspicious accounts only have one photo or it looks like all the photos are screenshots that are from someone else. Also, I am not getting the notifications for my app when they are clearly turned on, I end up missing out on messages from other Vinas. I see that the developers haven’t had an update for HeyVINA I’m over 7 months. Not sure if they’re still working on it or not ? Other than that, I really love how HeyVINA lets you create meet up events and activities to meet other ladies in person. I hope to see more from HeyVINA

I was really hoping HeyVINA could help me find some people with similar interests to hang out with. What I’m finding instead is that there is not much substance in the profile area, so not much to go by when trying to decide to connect or not. The community categories are very broad and don’t give any option to elaborate or be more specific. They feel a little like you’re trying to figure out what high school clique you belong in. The quizzes are VERY superficial. Developers- I’d like to see some real questions with the option of typing out some real answers, or at least answer choice options that are relevant. And how about adding some sub categories to the community labels?

I love the idea of HeyVINA I want it to work. But HeyVINA is so very buggy! The developers are constantly updating you pretty much have to update every time you open it and every update makes something else unusable. Is it good for friends? I have not had a good experience, its difficult texting someone you don't know you end up falling out of touch like in real life, and meeting up has the same problems of real life, people are too busy and cancel. The best feature is the way you can create an event and have people join, but its very buggy and everyone says “maybe” they can go but not many really go... But Vina does put you in contact with other girls in the same boat who want to make new friends, so hopefully you have better luck

So I really do want to like HeyVINA, but like many of the other reviews the notifications don’t work which is annoying. Also, the first 24 hours I was super active with hey’s and dittos and since then it’s been radio silent. I even paid for the ‘spotlight’ to see if that would help and nothing, a waste of $. Also agree with a lot of the reviews where a bunch of my dittos were silent, I could see a few people maybe not answering but it’s strange how so many people are noticing this. Seems like messages may not be going through. Also, a lot of the accounts do seem inactive. There should be a function to see the last login or something to know whether it’s worth it to swipe right or not. I want to like HeyVINA as I think it’s a cool idea to meet girlfriends but there are just so many glitches...

I love the idea of HeyVINA. Especally for the area I live in, it is super hard to meet people outside of your work circle. So, excited to start meeting new friends! However, at one point it said that I had 106 heys so I was so confused with why I only had like 3 matches. I started swiping right on almost everyone and only got like 3 more matches. Then I looked at my "Heys" and I only had 46, so something is super buggy with HeyVINA . As well, I got a message from someone inviting me to go to an arts & crafts fair but it seemed like it was about a week late as the fair was the weekend before. Then I responded to the person and have received nothing back. Please fix the bugs!!!!!

Also, I don’t like that I have to sign in after every update like it doesn’t remember me. I accidentally hit instagram to sign back in and it wouldn’t let me go back to sign in through Facebook. That is annoying. Please fix these things!

So there are definitely some bugs to be worked out like inconsistent notifications, etc. BUT I have met so many amazing women and I will say HeyVINA has brought me SO. MUCH. JOY!!

I had just recently moved to the area and was having a hard time making friends with a deployed boyfriend and a busy life as a nurse. If you’re looking for like minded girl friends you found your app! Still not tons of people using it in my area 🤷‍♀️ but I would absolutely recommend it to anyone feeling like they need some girls in their life! All I can say is thank you thank you thank you to the Hey! VINA app.

I love the idea of HeyVINA and have had some success meeting new friends. Like any dating app, I’m it works better in larger cities. In my area there just are not a lot of people using it, but I have gotten a few matches and have met up with one new friend in real life. One thing I would like to see is the option to set your home location rather than using Phone location. I keep getting matches from people who are not actually local but are just passing through my area and live hours away. If I was looking for someone to hang out with once while I was traveling that would be great but it’s not very useful if you’re looking for sustainable friendships. It would be great to have different modes for home and travel so people can choose which they are looking for.

First of all, HeyVINA is FREE. Don’t want to pay for the extra features? Don’t’! Nobody is making y’all! No wonder some of y’all don’t have friends you’re stubborn and ungrateful lol The developer of HeyVINA need to make their money too! I for one find HeyVINA very interesting. After downloading it last night I already matched with someone and we’ve been chatting. I feel like HeyVINA is brilliant and has soo much potential. You can plan dates, it even GIVES you IDEAS for dates, horoscopes and cute quizzes to take. Mind you, the. App. Is. Free. It’s also beautifully designed. Ive only dreamed of an app like this but never knew there was such a thing. One thing I will say is that it would be great if HeyVINA had more promotion like an add on Instagram, Facebook or even a commercial to get more people to use it. However so far I’m grateful and look forward to meeting new friends. Thank you developer for caring about us women that find it hard to make friends! You definitely took your time with this one 💕

I see so many negative reviews on here and it’s super disheartening because as women we should be empowering each-other. A woman/ women were the ones who decided to make HeyVINA because they see the need in finding friends and all we can do is talk down on them. Nobody else had the balls or strategies like they did to implement HeyVINA so before you go making negative comments remember you downloaded HeyVINA and have it because of them. ALSO, I’ve met about 4 women from HeyVINA IN PERSON and none of them wanted me to be their “girlfriend”. They wanted a friend and I found them moving to a new state not knowing ANYONE through HeyVINA. Thank you creators of Vina :)

Be patient! I’ve had HeyVINA for a month and a half, haven’t paid to see who swipes me, and so far have 4 dittos which is really exciting! I’ve chatted with 3, 1 of which didn’t follow up. The fourth didn’t seem like a good match after checking her IG account, so 2 out of those 4 have potential and have been really nice! And there were TONS of profiles in my region which was surprising (NH & outside of Boston). I made it a policy to pass on anyone who didn’t bother to say anything specific in their profile. If they choose to put in effort in the future, they’ll show up on my list again which is nice. So happy to have found HeyVINA and looking forward to new friends!

I like the idea of HeyVINA - I’ve met a couple of cool people as a result, so yay! But it’s buggy. First off it allows you to duplicate your account - I logged in once with Instagram and then once with Facebook and it just made a brand new account and I have no idea how to access the older account. Also the filters don’t really work - I’ve tried to limit based on age as I’m more interested in meeting friends in a similar age group, but I still end up with people way outside my age range. I’ve also spent a few minutes swiping and then HeyVINA re-ran those same profiles by me again. If they could work out some of the software issues I think it would be awesome, but right now the user experience is just so so.

- One thing I did notice is that blocking someone doesnt work?
- Also, there is no block list so you cant even go to see who you’ve blocked/ unblock someone (if blocking them was an accident).
~ Example: it showed me my Facebook friends who are also on vina. I simply wanted to block one bc even tho I have her on Facebook I dont want her as my vina or for her to see me on there. I want NEW friends. So I blocked her (or so I thought) but when I go to the “add vinas” section on my profile SHE IS THERE under Facebook friends. I shouldn’t even be able to see her. I go to click on her profile to block her and my finger slips and I make her my VINA.. but no biggie I’ll just undo it, right? I go to her profile to block her and it gives me the option to..It will kick you off their profile like you’ve successfully blocked them but they are not really blocked. ~

- ALSO would be nice to see all the “Hey’s” you sent. To also have the option to take back our “hey” would be great too!

Hello there, I’ve never personally opened HeyVINA after I’ve downloaded it. I’ve always been too busy with work to utilize it. But tonight, scrolling through my apps needing updated, the update description caught my eye. And then, I found myself scrolling through and reading every single update and literally just laughing to myself. The fact that you put so much thought just into what you’re going to say when updating your app and the time and effort to put them to today’s hit music! I love it!! I didn’t realize this was something I needed to see and be reminded of the little things in life. So thank you!
