Not allowed to use app due to Age

I can’t say much in GymWorkoutPlanner... why? Well that’s because my age isn’t allowed for GymWorkoutPlanner . I’m currently sixteen, almost 300 pounds, and only 5’ 10”. I’m obese and not in good shape but I want to be. I’ve been searching every where. Doing research on what’s suggested. And I got to a solution... or atleast I had thought. I downloaded another workout app and found that you have to buy a plan that’s way more expensive than need be. With a bunch of additional things tacked on to lure customers in. I almost gave up there... then I thought that this probably isn’t the only workout calendar app out there. And I found this one. I was hyped. The price was fair and it seemed like it would all workout. Nope. I wanted to be honest with GymWorkoutPlanner so I could make sure I’m getting a workout for ME. But I’m not allowed to use GymWorkoutPlanner since I’m not eighteen. Which for some isn’t that big of a deal but for me personally it is. I’m not 18 I’m 16. This plan is not for 18 year old me. It’s for 16 year old me. And at this point I don’t have a clue on what I should do now. I don’t have money for a trainer and I don’t want to buy a membership to a gym when I may end up quitting. Anyways. Since I didn’t really get to use GymWorkoutPlanner at all I’ll give it a 3 star rating due to the promise and other ratings. I just wish people took in consideration the teens who need help getting fit.

Starting to feel redundant

I’ve had GymWorkoutPlanner for a while and have loved it except over the last few months I haven’t wanted to use it. Granted my gym is still closed, but I rely on GymWorkoutPlanner that I paid a year for to provide me workouts to utilize. The “at home” workouts feel so redundant. They’ll have “4-week dumbbell plans” that are literally the same workouts every week, which gets boring really fast. Then, the length of the workouts are Soooo off. It’ll say it’s a 30 min circuit and from start to finish, I’ll be done by 25 mins. If it says 60 minutes, I’ll be done in 30-35 minutes and that includes rest times. So it feels like false advertisement because some people aim to workout for specific periods of time and I always end up having to find TWO workouts in GymWorkoutPlanner to do. Last, even when I create a “custom” workout plan with specific body parts each day, it somehow picks other body parts for me instead. If I’m scheduled to hit legs for 60 mins, it gives me 20 mins legs and 20 mins abs. Or if I select triceps, shoulders, chest (push) for one day, it’ll give me back, arms and shoulders. Idk, it needs some serious work before I plan to renew it in the future.

Nice to get started but not a long term thing

Ive been using gym plan for three months. I feel like the workouts for women are very boring and not challenging enough. I switched to men’s workouts and it fills maybe 30 minutes of gym time and just very whatever. I dont like that i cant create my own workouts with full control over the choice of movements. I always have to use their plans no matter what. My gym doesn’t have all the equipment and when I go to change the movement i still have to pick from whatever they’ve decided is an acceptable replacement. Sometimes I just do not want to go to the free weights area so i skip the movement, or just do something else and check it off anyway. They updated GymWorkoutPlanner but made it harder to use- changing the movement is more annoying now. It’s becoming pointless so i am canceling. I just want more freedom.

Enjoyed but...

So I really enjoy GymWorkoutPlanner but there is one major issue I have. When going through the intervals there is no rest period to change weights. By the time I put my weights down and pause GymWorkoutPlanner the next exercise timer is almost half done. There is no way I would use the same weight for fly that I would use for biceps or over head presses. There needs to be a 30 second break between exercises to allow for weight change. Plus there are a lot of exercise plan that include barbells and I can’t save changes in advance for my workout that day. My evenings are very tight and I have little motivation to workout at night. If I have to sit down and program my workout right before hand because I don’t have the equipment then I’m not likely to get to it. What I like to do is plan during my work break and pull it up when I get home to workout before my evening chaos hits. Just my 2 cents.

Finally feel good in the gym again

I participated in competitive sports all through grade school and college. After graduating, I was completely lost in the gym since all my workouts had always been organized for me. I am athletic and fit but I suddenly felt like I had no idea what I was doing. I tried running, group fitness, CrossFit and finally landed on GymWorkoutPlanner. I love that the plans are catered towards a real goal as opposed to just daily workouts. Too soon to see any actual results but I’m excited to find out. The only reason I knocked down a star is the lack of guidance on warm up. So many people (myself included) don’t warm up properly which really increases risk of injury when you are working with weights. Would be great to add a short suggested warm up in each of the plans.

Working out is not an option!

Having built a home gym during Covid and no longer having my trainer to do all my thinking for me I was forced to push hard & prepare my own workouts alone .
Although I know my way around a gym and what to do 🏋🏻‍♀️having a plan and program to follow makes it so much easier to stay on track and not find any excuses to “take a day off “.
I have tried many online trainers all quite excellent actually however, I require change because it can get boring .
I find this program to be an excellent outline to follow, change, or adjust in any way . As a retired elementary school teacher I especially like the colorful end of workout award & assessment 🏆
I’m still in the trial period and need to navigate other plans . I will review this again at the end of the 3 month period and see if I’m going to continue .

I’ve always been a very active person. I’ve played sports my whole life, including being a college athlete. When I graduated college a few years ago, I had trouble figuring what to do for working out since my organized athletic careers were over. I tried a variety of things like kick boxing, personal training, body building, marathon running, HIIT Classes, Barre, etc. I could never stick to one thing that made me really excited. I’ve also got a busy schedule with work now.

I know how to make my own workout plans, but don’t like to think a lot when I go to the gym and just do the work. It’s great having a workout set up for me. I can just log into GymWorkoutPlanner and have a workout plan that guides me step by step. I can also choose the length of the workout if I don’t have a lot of time.

GymWorkoutPlanner has been really helpful for me and I always feel like I got a good workout in. It’s never too easy or too hard. It’s just what I like. This has been perfect for me and it’s a much better plan monetarily for me than some of the other things I have tried.

I would definitely say give it a try if you are considering it! The coaches are very responsive if you have any questions during your workout.

Feels Like Family

I usually don’t write reviews but have been using GymWorkoutPlanner off and on for about a year I’d say. Anytime I’ve ever had a concern it was addressed within the day. These guys are invested in my well being and actually take the time to check in on me along the way. That’s what kept me coming back! I don’t have a gym membership but I do have a small gym at home and it’s nice to have quality programs that I can do from home. The monthly fee isn’t a payment it’s an investment into the hard work these guys put into GymWorkoutPlanner. It’s not perfect and there is always room for improvement but these guys got the model! I am excited for the what’s to come and the thankful for the opportunity to be apart of the crew!

Quick Review ~~ I Like It

I am a retired semi-pro bodybuilder that took a 15-year hiatus to work a different kind of job after a car accident caused injuries making training impossible for me. I came across this gym app quite by accident but have enjoyed its help thoroughly. It’s free workout programs are bringing back memories and knowledge I’d put on the shelf to learn new traits. I’m just now getting back into the training of both myself and a new roster of customers and have found it knowledgeable in both reminding me of exercises and how to execute these exercises properly. What more could a girl ask for. Paul, to you ~ its a great help and comfort to me to have GymWorkoutPlanner available to me. I’m sorry that I cannot afford to pay for your service as I am a recovering not once but twice cancer patient and have to live off limited funds at the moment. Hopefully with the aid of your app and my new clients I will be able to get the paid service soon. I am quite sure I will love it every bit as much as the free one, if not more. Any newbie or experienced trainer trainee can only improve with your program. THANKS

Great workouts for home & gym

I’ve been working out for years with and without personal trainers. As Ive gotten older I fall off track easier. Personal trainers can get expensive for me & honestly scheduling for me is hard. I was looking workouts I can do at home without weights and workouts I can do at the gym with weights. So far GymWorkoutPlanner has given me what I’m looking for. I love how I can see a short video on each workout before I do the workout. I love how there is a built in timer when doing timed workouts. I also love that I can swap out exercises. I have a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder & I have allot of limitations for shoulder exercises. Oh, and I really like how the trainers keep checking in on me. Very happy with GymWorkoutPlanner. Hopefully everything continues to go well 😊

I have suffered a shoulder injury caused from incorrect form, I used to have no problem walking into a gym and lifting on my own... since getting injured it made me feel as though I really did not know what I was doing. I lost my confidence and motivation and haven’t lifted weights for about 6 yrs. Since finding GymWorkoutPlanner I have started lifting consistently again and joined a gym membership! I love how it gives you videos for each exercise and even advice on the correct form or how to get more out of your exercise! You can plan your workouts and log your reps and weights for each exercise! You even have a trainer available for questions at all times! I would highly recommend GymWorkoutPlanner to beginners or all levels of training.

From March to end of July my health was not picture perfect from a medication I was put on. I was, actually AM an active young adult. I’m a amateur runner. During those months I couldn’t run or workout. Now that I’m off the medication I feel like my old self again. My health is back on track and better than ever. GymWorkoutPlanner has truly gotten me back. I was nervous on the investment but beyond thankful for it. I’ve been able to get a true workout in 5-7 days a week. GymWorkoutPlanner gives me so many options for different forms of workouts. I look forward everyday to workout! The coaches are great with tips/tricks/ and importantly encouragement! I feel so great after each workout even if it kills me from intensity!

A game changer

I got to be honest, while I’ve worked out since I was 14 years old in some form of capacity, it’s not something that I have ever truly enjoyed. Well, I always like the feeling after just not the idea of going or doing the work. In fact the older I get the less I seem to enjoy weights, even though I know that is super important. Enter GymWorkoutPlanner about a month ago. These guys have hit the nail on the head with a combination of really effective workouts, easy access to customization during the workouts, and providing the perfect checklist to perform each workout. There’s something about this that is just perfection for me. In fact, I find it more effective than having a personal trainer. Time goes by fast in the gym and the results I am making myself achieve are my best ever. The subscription as worth every penny.

Ok folks, right off the bat: amazing app, features, and customer service.

About me: 5’10, 250 LBS, always been heavy, lost about 45 lbs in last 10 months or so and want to reduce BMI.

Goal: challenge myself
Motto: what doesn’t challenge you; does not change you

Points and reasons to why I rated them at the highest level:

1) training programs geared to your liking and what you’re trying to achieve. Prompted to go through a small series of questions before workout plan is generated

2) workouts shock your body making it challenging. Workouts take you out of your comfort zone but if you want to swap for a comparable exercise which is not so hard, you have the option to do so

3) user has option to keep track of weight lifted and number of reps for personal record keeping

4) tracking mechanisms link to iPhone, Apple Watch, apple health, etc making it easier to see progress.

Paul and the training team get it. They know what gym users want. Due to my high BMI, I was reluctant and hesitant to try new exercises. Always did the usual. I can honestly say, never been so sore in my life with the new exercise training program.

Messaged Paul for tips to alleviate soreness and he responded within a few minutes advising how to reduce soreness.

GymWorkoutPlanner should be more popular!
I mean the layout is simple and has such a nice organizational structure to it! (That’s completely self editable) I have looked at other apps but this one really gets together a plan for you that will have you ready to hit the gym and get it done. To be able to choose your target muscles and organize it in the weeks and order you want is one of the things I love so much about it. I just can’t leave GymWorkoutPlanner. I’m definitely going to keep using it throughout my whole process of my transformation with my body and even afterwards. Love the check off in the workout to help keep up with your sets during your workout. I mean I just love EVERYTHING about GymWorkoutPlanner. Really is hands down the best and I’m so glad such a workout/gym planner like this one was made. You’re awesome guys.! Thank you! 👏🏻💪🏻🤩

I am the person WHO NEVER PAYS FOR AN APP, until this one!! I have been going to the gym for a few months now but stay away from certain machines or weights Bc I feel like if I go do them, I'd look like a dummy. GymWorkoutPlanner tells you what to do and if you don't know what that is...you just watch the 5-10 sec video provided right next to the plan! I LOVE IT! It once called for a certain machine that my gym doesn't have, I sent a text asking what to do in place of that...I got a response within 30 minutes. (I look over my plan the day before) GymWorkoutPlanner makes me want to go to the gym. I'm on a 3 week plan now, but already have my next one picked out! This is really awesome and it's like you really do have a personal trainer. I would recommend this to everyone who wants a little more confidence at the gym. It gives me direction when I am there.

I’ve been looking for an app that will create a gym plan just for me, or where I can browse for other plans that I might want to try out. They have plans from just one time workouts for a body part all the way up to 12 week plans that you follow along. I’m not good with making my own plans so having GymWorkoutPlanner and knowing what I’ll be doing right when I get to the gym makes gym time that much easier. I also really like how it gives you the choice to swap out a certain exercise for a different one if you don’t have the equipment. The only con I can think of at the moment is that when you use the timer in-between sets, you have to stay in GymWorkoutPlanner with your phone on or else the timer won’t count down. I would like it to notify me when my time is up whether my phone is in GymWorkoutPlanner or not. So far I am loving it and will be using it for a while!

Have been training in the gym for 6+ years, but needed something that would keep me motivated to work a bit more independently. I have had Gym Plan for only a short time...definitely loving it so far. The library of workouts is extensive, and GymWorkoutPlanner is user friendly in a lot of ways. Don’t know what a particular rep should look like? No problem! Each exercise has a video that demonstrates proper form, speed, etc. Workouts can be adjusted to different durations and equipment (machines, weights, bodyweight), and plans can focus on different parts of the body. (Timed reps also have built-in timer so you don’t need to go out of GymWorkoutPlanner to open your stopwatch.) Paul and Dave are quickly responsive in the Coach’s Chat, and GymWorkoutPlanner so far is well worth the very reasonable cost. I have already recommended it to others. Note: I use GymWorkoutPlanner on my iPhone only, so cannot attest to user friendliness on other devices.

Gym intimidation GONE!

GymWorkoutPlanner is amazing and is helping me change my life by changing my habits.

First of all, I have always used a hodgepodge of free running and exercise apps but have never stuck to a routine or accomplished much. So when my insurance offered a gym special, I decided to put all the pieces together for once and get fit now that I’m 30. I thought about a personal trainer but first wanted to get my feet wet with an app trainer. Now that I’ve been using Gym Plan for 3 months, I know I won’t need a trainer anymore- this is the answer!

The gym is no longer intimidating. GymWorkoutPlanner has videos to show you exactly what to do and coaching if you still need it. As a woman in a gym for the first time, that made the difference of me going vs not going.

Another great feature is how customizable GymWorkoutPlanner is in terms of workouts. You scroll through what type of workout you want to do or what you want to target. There are tons of ‘plans,’ you can pick one or more than one and then edit the order the workouts will appear in. So for example, I have a gym plan and a home strength with barbells plan running simultaneously, and alternate the workouts. Also, you can customize within the workout if something is too challenging, too many or not enough reps, etc.

If you are like me, $8/month might sound like a deal breaker but I promise you it’s not if you need help getting fit and sticking to a plan. Try it!!

Changed my life. No joke.

I’ve always wanted to get in shape. It’s been at the top of every new year’s resolution list I’ve had, but once I got to the gym, I had no clue where to go from there. In October of 2020 I saw a video of myself and knew I had to make a serious change once and for all. I found GymWorkoutPlanner and decided to give it a try. Paid for a month and started playing with all the goals and started following a 13 week plan. I followed the recommended calories and worked out 6 days a week. 6 months later and GymWorkoutPlanner legit changed my life. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in and have created healthy habits in the gym and the kitchen. The support through GymWorkoutPlanner is amazing. I have reached out several times with silly questions about exercises or calories or whatever and they always get back to me in a timely manner.
