I really want to like VoalteMe. It’s really nice that I can see the care team assigned to each of my patients and look up the leadership assigned to each floor of my hospital.

I spend SO much of my day waiting for VoalteMe to load. I get notifications that I have a new message but when I open VoalteMe , it hasn’t loaded the message yet. I often have to force quit VoalteMe and reopen it to get it to load the message, and sometimes the process of opening VoalteMe and waiting for it to auto-login takes upwards of a minute. I get hundreds of pages a day and waiting for VoalteMe to load is not a good use of my time all day.

As a nurse manager sometimes I get outside calls that I can’t answer and spend time at the moment. If I could see my team was calling I would know if I should answer no matter what or let it go to VM. App kills my battery every single day. I am 24/7 coverage. And there is no way to turn off the in house alerts that I don’t need in my bed at home. It constantly stalls and I have to close and reopen. I miss alerts due to that! I do like I can sign in to all of f the areas I am covering and cover for my colleagues. I can hold
Multiple roles at one time but that was built at an organizational level I’m sure. Doc complain a lot about how slow the texting is when your going between text, I see the same issue. We text to our personal phone between leadership bc app is annoying!

Overall application works well. Badge count gets off frequently and requires application reset. This wastes time multiple times throughout the day. As this is a medical application missing one message is not possible. So it takes a lot of checking VoalteMe when the badge account still shows a new message when it already has been reviewed.

VoalteMe shouldn’t be released for actual use and should still be in beta. Messaging with physicians should be reliable. I often have to open VoalteMe intermittently to check for messages and then will get a rush of push notifications instead of them coming through in a timely manner. My settings for notifications are correct but it’s an error in VoalteMe .

Also, I cover several sites and this application does not allow for those profiles to be active so I am forced to carry two phones even though one of them is not even active so that I can use both accounts.

VoalteMe might have promise but I feel it is far below the threshold for active clinical use and it’s performance is inadequate, especially when compared with the TigerText and Perfect Serve apps that I use at my other hospitals that I cover.

Developers... please! Please, fix VoalteMe since the hospital clearly won’t change. You are impeding my ability to do my job as a physician.

“Improved” user interface font is a lot smaller than previous. Icon to start a group conversation gone and now requires 2 taps to start instead of one. Old bugs not fixed like getting stuck on reconnecting and notifications not going away even after reading a message. Still can’t be logged in on my iPad and iPhone at the same time. New bugs introduced like telling me I’m no longer assigned to a patient when I clearly am because it says assigned right next to the patient name and my name is still on the list of assignments. How do I downgrade back to the previous version?

Recently it appears my voalte went thru an upgrade. The new screen is finer print and less bolder than the old screen, making it difficult to read at times. I already have the messages set to max size, however it is hard to see the other screens, such as my main screen with my favorites listed. Any help would be appreciated.

VoalteMe frequently takes very long to load and crashes frequently. These problems often render VoalteMe almost useless. During a typical busy day, it is extremely frustrating to wait for VoalteMe in order to read messages from other physicians and from nurses.

The interface is adequate but not particularly good. There are better secure messaging apps for healthcare on the market that are far more reliable and user friendly. Having used VoalteMe for over a year now, I do not recommend it.

My hospital just installed this platform......One of the greatest things about the Apple Watch is the fact that I don’t have to pull out my phone to read a txt.

Yet Voalte doesn’t appear to support Apple Watch in any way.... so unless i have my phone set up to create a unique sound and bypass DND settings, I will often miss a message. This is NOT conducive to effective and rapid communications between physicians and providers!

What needs to happen is to have the full text appear on the Apple Watch and easy handoff between Watch and phone. When will this happen?

I am using an iPhone 11 plus with VoalteMe and I find it irritating that it constantly notifies me that my low power is on and it will affect me getting notifications. Please give the option to shut this off or at least only show it a couple times so people are aware. Does not need to pop up constantly.

VoalteMe needs to implement the critical alerts function ASAP. This is a must for on call providers

I’ve used both Epic text and Voalte on my phone. VoalteMe is terrible. It is slow and the constant refresh kills my battery. I have to log in every single time even though VoalteMe is live.
I have to restart VoalteMe for EVERY SINGLE BADGE NOTIFICATION bc they don’t turn off automatically when I’ve viewed the message
The concept of VoalteMe is great. I love pulling up the staff assigned to a particular room
However the execution is terrible

Excellent app but I’m using in my iPhone I’d like VoalteMe allow to see the message in my watch I got the notification but I can’t read please allow to see the message over to watch.

A HIPAA compliant texting app. It’s a good idea and is a nice tool when it works. Super buggy, unstable and crashes. Very slow and doesn’t actually update after reading a message so it still shows an alert that you have a message even after you’ve read it. I use it because my organization adopted it so I have no choice. Needs a lot of work before I’d recommend it, however.

When I receive messages I get a notification (red dot with number) on VoalteMe icon that does not clear when the message is read. So it constantly shows that I have missed messages. This is really inconvenient especially as a physician who is in constant contact with staff.

Would be really nice if you could increase text size and it would automatically stay instead of having to change it every time you use VoalteMe

Newest update came to my app/hospital a few days ago (august 2021) still shows unread messages after they have been read. Have to completely close out of app (swipe it up on Apple iPhone) then open app back up for messages fo clear.

Just did the update and I’m regretting it. Now my app just goes into “reconnecting” but I don’t know that unless I have it open on my screen. As a result, I missed 19 pages last night including several STAT pages. I had to log on to a desktop in order to get my messages. How do I give zero stars?

More glitchy with the latest update. Notification flags won’t go away even after reading messages. And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider making VoalteMe compatible with Apple CarPlay. Would be extremely useful when on call!

Only complaint is that I am unable to view text if messages on my Apple Watch.

App works great, but can’t change the alert to something annoyingly loud to wake me up at night while on-call!

For a messaging app that advertises itself for “critical messaging” it sure is buggy. Particularly with two things:
1. Randomly fails to actually play an alert even when phone is not on silent, not on dnd, and volume is at 100%. I often find missed messages because of this

2. Often takes forever to load/refresh between openings. I might even be in the middle of typing a message and suddenly screen goes to “updating” for 10-15 seconds for no particular reason. Or after I do click on a banner to open a message it takes a good 10-30 seconds to actually update and show the actual message.

Using iPhone X on WiFi at facility using Voalte. Phone is up to date. Have tried restarting and reinstalling app and clearing network settings but issues persist. The whole failed audio issue specifically started after most recent voalte update too. VoalteMe is not at all trustworthy and is a danger to patient safety.

I would never rely on Voalte for critical communications. The alert volumes are too low and not adjustable. The Voalte voice is unreliable. Definitely needs an upgrade before it should be widely adopted.

It drains the battery. It is VoalteMe that consumes the most battery life. It works well

Keep having problems. Freezes all the time now I keep getting this”enable refresh background “ all the time . And it’s set already for that.

Competitor apps are so much better, VoalteMe is buggy and seems more like a Beta

VoalteMe itself is pretty straightforward. It's not overly complicated and fairly user friendly. My only issue with it is that it drains my battery. We use this at work and VoalteMe has to stay open. When I checked what apps are sucking the life out of my phone, this tops the list (28%). I wish the developers would do something about it in future versions. Otherwise I really like it.

Nicely tied into Voalte Platform and works consistently. The interface is now very similar to Voalte One and they are constantly updating it. Battery usage is only 1% for me and I have it running all the time.
