This game needs a serious update. The game is okay but pretty slow and boring. You just basically clean the town and that’s pretty much it. Once your done with the clean up your pretty much done until the next day. So it’s the same thing over and over and over again. It needs more!!! The game at time is pretty glitchy and runs in slow motion. I’ve reset the game 5 times already just because I was bored with it and in the hopes of something new popping up. The cinema doesn’t work why idk and the developers don’t know either why not well at least that was their reply. Also, the mayor quest well who knows what else your supposed to do because I’ve fixed everything in the town and not once did I get a clue as what was next. I think if the developers actually paid attention to the game and revamp it some it would be a great game. But yeah I doubt that will happen. So in conclusion if your looking for a boring slow paced game this is definitely it!!

I love most of the games Last Day of Work makes because it is not necessary to spend money on them in order to play. Virtual Town is unlike the other games because you DO have to spend money in order to play. Your tools break after several uses so you have to constantly buy new ones, for anything brass it’s 100$ and those are the cheap tools in the game. Everything you do requires coin that you don’t get from being mayor. You get one coin a day from the bank unless you PURCHASE an interest upgrade. Tasks that the townspeople give you are only available for a day, so unless you already have the item they want then you’re not getting paid. If you sell something you bought then found you didn’t need it, you can sell it back, if it is unused, but only get half of what you paid for it. If you want to repair, say, the lake then you have to spend 400 $/coin for 4 days to get it done. That’s 1,600$/coin, and you don’t even start the game out with that amount of coin. I could give more examples but it would take too much time.
I’m extremely disappointed in this game and the fact that it is only for money. With the amount of people who play Last Day of Work games, a money trap like this is an unnecessary and cruel trick to play on consumers.

This game is absolutely amazing. I love seeing noticeable progress from my hard work and efforts and I love seeing the gorgeous changes and additions you can make. The game allows anyone to express their creativity and time management skills in a fun way! This game is super fun and always has something exciting or mysterious in store.

But there’s one MASSIVE issue about the ending. There isn’t one.

To anyone who’s reading this review before they download, what I mean is that the games incomplete and has no direct ending as it should. You complete ALL of these tasks and missions just to end up permanently in the middle of a mysterious quest that can never be completed. It takes approximately one week to restore the village and unlock access to all areas. All that’s left to do is figure out where the previous mayor disappeared to, but that can’t be done because the game was never updated with an ending beyond the kite quest. I hope this doesn’t deter you from downloading, but please keep it in mind.

I understood the premise of the game was for my character to improve/restore the town to its previous glory AND uncover the mystery of the previous mayors disappearance. I discovered/uncovered one piece of the mayors story very early on and restored the towns population and beauty. I find it monotonous & frustrating that week after week Nothing changes. I get no clues. The update added a little enjoyment. (Minus the constant crashing) The towns people are still rude. I am getting really sick of not being able to unravel more of the mystery. UPDATE: I recently started playing the game again & gotta Say I’m kind of sickened by the fact that it’s nearly 2018 & the main storyline of the game in regards to the missing mayor and the blight or bad luck That apparently hits the town every 40 years WILL NEVER BE FINISHED?!. LDW games first drew my attention BECAUSE of the puzzle/storyline entanglement like in all the Virtual Villagers games. Why even have the mayor mentioned if they never cared or planned to tell the WHOLE story???

I was expecting to be visited by the adoption person at age 24 on this game but when my person was 24 or that age the adoption person never came I can not call em and they are never coming and I am about to retire and if I do not have a child soon then I will have to rest my game so I suggest there should be a easier way to call them and make it free and we show have better looking kids and adults and we should be able to get married to people and have their own family that is not adopted also their should be a way to get money without spending your real life money and you should have a way to do tasks that you are able to do in real life so that is a lot your game needs to be good or I am permanently deleting it and never gonna think about it again!!!!!!!!

Definitely addicting. When you first start playing it’s soooo boring! I actually deleted it for a while and came back and started over. It’s fun but if there was new features or more things to do, it would be far better, especially for people just beginning to play. Has sooo much potential if there was more to do and more challenges and quests etc.. I wish I could build relationships and have convos with the townspeople. It seems like on the weekends nothings goes on, no more new rocks or holes, but the start of the week there’s all different rocks and stuff.. kinda weird and makes me not want to play on weekends. Overall it’s great but has the potential to be soooo much better

I really like this game. It's fun but only until you finish the parts there are to the quest thing. Once you finish the parts of the quest, you're pretty much just cutting grass, planting food, and getting stuff for the town's people. As you get further into the game it starts to be more like, time Consuming too. There is more stuff you need to get for your villagers, and the food runs out faster. I feel like the grass grows a bit too quickly and literally everywhere. It takes like 30-40 minutes to cut down all the grass, pick up all the trash, dig up then bury the holes, do the daily job things like pulling out weeds, making sure there's enough food, and finding out what all the people need. I guess that's kind of every game though. I'd suggest this game to anybody who has a lot of free time. I had to delete it though, because I didn't have time to keep up with it so it was just taking up space on my phone.

I’ve played this game on and off for a few years. I don’t see very much of a difference each time. I will say that it isn’t as buggy as it once was and everything runs a lot smoother. However, it seems like the duties went down to only three to two times a day. I remember I would get tasks frequently. Without them, I feel like there isn’t really anything to do in the game, especially because a lot of the tasks are timed, so you have to wait a few days for this thing to finish and what not. Plus it can be annoying to make money in the game without the tasks. The tools break within a few uses, which means you’re spending hundreds on the tools. I do believe this is a fun game though. But it most definitely could use some improvement. Especially with the townsfolk! 🤎

This is such a cute game! However, i've only just started out and it seems like theres not a lot to do in this game. I find myself constantly just wandering around looking for bugs that arent even there because theres nothing else to do. As most people have said, this company doesnt seem to update their apps, but i figured i would try to give suggestions anyway. It would be sooo awesome if you could get married and have your own kids instead of adopting all the time. Also its kinda weird that a town has so little residents (not to mention the only child is mine). It would be amazing if you could actually get to know the other townspeople and have options of what to say to them, kinda like in the sims. Every time I try to talk to someone they complain that im bothering them. Other than that, this is a pretty cute game.

I've been playing this game to satisfy my Animal Crossing urges until I can get a new 3DS and I also love Last Day of Works' games. There's a lot to do in a day for a free game and it's easy to get in-game money. And your villagers don't die from starvation if you ignore them for days like in Virtual Family.
My only beef is that there are never any new faces once you max out the town beauty. It would be neat if the villagers aged and died or "retired" or simply moved away so someone new could move in and you'd get to see fresh faces. I also wish the men in this game were less...lumpy and that all the villagers didn't talk so stupidly, or at least more variety; I just want to actually LIKE my neighbors 😆. Also if the clothing actually looked good so I would want to collect them. But that's all just looks. The gameplay and how relaxing this game is is great.

I played this game since the day I got my first phone ( which was about 5 years ago) but then I lost that phone so the data goes with the lost, otherwise i really enjoy this game, and that fact that you can have quests is also enjoyable, and this game is ad free ! I do have some problems tho 😅
The art style of the game is very unique, but this is 2020 I would be pleased to maybe be able to update the art style, it’s a bit erm, old?
I would also like a few more updates! I don’t know if my latest device is wrong, but it says the most recent update was THREE YEARS AGO! I don’t know if your taking your time ( which is good yes) but if you are maybe hurry the process up a lil? Or if your not making updates, we can start a better future for the game together, with an update!!!
And lastly, it takes me a while to find a Slav- I mean mayor for the town because I enjoy the prettiest girls ✨✨✨👑
Sooooo if you could add CUSTOMIZABLE HUMANS I would be great full!
And lastly I would really appreciate if the main buildings ( bank, boutique, store, town all) were not just cramped in a single area!

I own and have played several of the Last Day of Work games and have never been disappointed. I did definitely prefer the old way of doing things - I personally hate the "In-App Purchase" model but that seems to be the way everyone is doing things these days. I am new at this one, having just downloaded it today, and after a few hours of play it seems to be living up to their usual standards. One thing I love about LDW games is that -for me, at least- they almost never crash, the company generally stays on top of their updates. Any time I am looking for a "new" game to play, I always search them first. Yeah, I am fangirling over here but I really appreciate all the thought and effort they put into their games. 😍😍😍

I have been playing Virtual Town ever since it came out in VirtualTown Store (where we are right now) and I love it! I have no complaints about this game, but I would love if you could consider adding at least one of the following suggestions. 🐾Pets!🐾: Pets would be a great addition to the game, because then more people would download the game! Plus, everyone loves a little furry friend! 🐶🐱. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Families!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: Another great addition to the game; families! Instead of just having a single kid, you could have an entire family. This would be an update that everyone would love! So please consider adding these to the game! -Riley

I’ve always enjoyed pretty much every game that you guys have made, you ace unique life simulation games mixed with some challenge while still making them a relaxing experience and this game is no exception. This is probably my favorite game you have made, I love literally everything about it. I love the way it looks, I love the way it plays, I love the puzzles and little daily challenges as well as cleaning up the town and making it more beautiful. And you never disappoint with the collecting, I love collecting the bugs and minerals and seeing what hybrid plants I can make. Unlocking new areas is also very rewarding, some might complain of the waiting time to construct areas but the time makes it more exciting for me. The sound design is also very nice, the ambience adds to this being one of the most relaxing games that I’ve played from you. I’d recommend it to anyone that likes life simulation games. Honestly I wouldn’t be opposed to actually living in this little town! 👍🏻

Also I’m not sure if you did this on purpose or if it is a coincidence, but where I lived it was raining all day and it also rained in the game. Today where I live it snowed and when I opened the game it was snowing for my tiny town too! If you did program this I love it, it’s so cool!

Last Day of Work! You are my favorite app developers! You guys really seek to improve time and time again and you do. I love your games. The only one I haven't really played is the virtual villagers. I played virtual families off and on for years and wished the game could somehow expand beyond the yard and you did that beyond my expectations with Virtual Town. The graphics are better, there's more complexity within the story, there's more of a wait period which helps keep the game going and from beating it all in one night lol. I was afraid at first that the sims creators may have bought you out because it seems more similar to that now but figured if that was the case your company name wouldn't still in the game. I just started playing last night and have not lost my interest. I would love it if you guys came out with a video game based off of these apps. I love the changes that were made such as being able to name the people. I always wanted to be able to do that. Also, the time cheat is no longer an issue because the game can detect so it doesn't take away from the game. Not going to lie I always used the cheat but it made the game time go so fast that you couldn't enjoy it very long so that's cool. I also think it's cool that you can still complete the repairs even though you can't change the time. The task for that day will still be complete so it's the best of both worlds. Please keep making apps(: you guys are great!

Love the game and I have some suggestions I wanted to share, 1) I work 2nd shift so please let the store stay open later than the 1am late night ordinance option. 2) It would be great to be able to find townsfolk when you have the item they requested by tapping on the clipboard objective instead of searching the map and houses. 3) please add fishing to the museum collection items and allow fishing from the ponds or ocean areas! This game reminds me of old school animal crossing and I loved gathering fish for the museum then. 4) It would be great if you could also have a catalog to know what you are still missing and how many items are left to find and hints on how or where to find certain items/bugs etc..

Absolutely LOVE the game. It gets pretty addicting after a while. One thing that seems to keep happening is that if I exit VirtualTown and switch to something real quick (I.e responding to a text real quick and then reentering the game without closing the window) it sometimes gets glitchy. Like I’ll have my mayor walking somewhere and it just gets somewhat laggy. Nothing major to the point where I can’t play, but it does get slightly irritating. Also people keep talking about how you can go to the cinema and watch movies (ads) and obtain prizes by doing so, but every time I attempt to “see a movie” it always says something about the projectionist not being ready yet? It happens no matter what time of day I go to the cinema. Overall it’s a great game that’s seriously fun!

The only difference is you adopt a child. This is a problem though. What age to you retire? I am upset that your adopted child will not even bother to help you with ANYTHING even though you taught them how to do it! The only annoying thing is I have is also annoying is that they get in the way of you trying to plant food & other stuff in the town. So far my guy I named Richerd is his is now 50 & I was hoping to control Betty which is no longer a child but a 30 year old women who dosen't do anything but get in the way. It's just frustrating but this is a great game! I love it but needs a little more work. One more thing there is this one glitch I found & that my 'child' was playing out doors but she was stuck in the museum. She walked out after Richerd talked to her. That is all thanks.

I am usually on this game every hour.... honestly, you kind of have to be bc you have to check on your citizens. The game is in real time. I love games where you have to interact with other characters and choose what you want to say. The only thing I’d really like for you guys to “change/fix” is I’d like there to be a little more dialogue. The characters say the same exact thing. They are actually really rude and dismissing of the mayors no matter how high their love bar gets for you. I think it gets kind of lonely for the mayor/me bc I feel like I’m making the town look nice and planting the food and they aren’t appreciative. Also I think more businesses should open up, like the town should expand some. I could go on and on about how I love this game.... I never write reviews really unless I absolutely love something!

This game was what I was looking for. I can change my name whenever and I like how when you fix one pond that when the bridge it built the other pond is done also. I think my friend is hooked now also it is amazing. I think you should have more then 9 people in the town though. Yes it is a small town but 9 people is not even a town. The citizens should have kids also what you are the only one who wants to adopt? Why are some of the people jerks? I helped one and he asked my why I was still here and another asked what I was doing talking to him. They need an attitude check cause I was nice to them( even though I had no choice). I wish that I could have a cat or a dog and bigger building too so more people can visit. Why did the old mayor leave? Do they ever tell you why. I am rambling now. LOVE THIS GAME ANYWAYS!!!👉😍😋🤓👈 how do you get more plants again I forget I know their is mutation liquid but is their a different way or no???❤️
