This a poorly run business with horrible training. I went to do my first this app along and was met by the rudest most disrespectful this app guru. He barely was able to put any words together to form a sentence. Certainly he should not be representing anyone or being around customers. After driving more than an hour through LA traffic to get to the store 20+ miles away. This rude person was late and no where near the place I was told to meet them. When I finally found him sitting outside he was not wearing a jvye shirt or did he have the Id or lanyard I was told to look for. He said set down and open Jyve . Then after that he had trouble explaining anything or telling me what was to happen. He basically sat their dumb founded like he has never talked to humans before in his life. 10 minutes later after saying about 10 words he said rudely this won’t work you can go leave and go home. Thank you this app for wasting my time and gasoline to be treated rudely by your supposed trainer. I don’t know how you train guru’s but Is obvious that you don’t care about your 1099 staff weather they are trained properly. Merely send them out to meet with rude wasteful people who should not work around any kind of customers. If I were looking for 1099 work with a good company I would stay away from this place. You can find a better app and better company than this place.

They make it seem fine an dandy but that not how it is your all on your own no one will help you even when u call and ask for help from your rep in your area. Easy for some people but not others as they choose other people for Jyves when they ask u specifically can u do this this app then next thing you know it’s gone cause someone else already claimed it. But why go the effort to text when you are at going to give that job in the first place.

I really start not to like this this app, very upset. I work a full week, did 7 jobs claims, and when I go to start my next week claim, this app. going tell me I can’t because of background check... that’s very disappointing. Why start me with this app just to work one week but stop me from doing any other. And it’s not number you can call so you out of luck with that. Just email that they never respond back to.

You may get lucky but I didn’t. I ended up working for 4 hours and received nothing but lies and a rejected/deleted account when I got home to sign into Jyve . I could understand if they told me the straight truth of me not being accepted but instead I was told everything was okay. I was even given a lanyard but why give me that if you know I’m not gonna be a part of the team. The biggest issue is why have real people WORK for hours and they not receive anything at all but more stress. You could try to see if you are “worthy” enough to get on Jyve but you are taking the risk of working a regular job for hours for nothing at all. It’s like I feel used and token advantage of by these people and I had no idea at the time.

The fact that you can “choose your own hours” isnt really a thing. Some stores expect you to be there when they open up before your delivery even comes. Other stores are rude and dont understand anything’s you’re supposed to be doing for your job. Managers at stores constantly complain about 99s staying in he diary cooler when they're a new item, or back stock going in the correct places because they want EVERY case up even if it doesnt fit. One store kept ordering DISCONTINUED stuff and STILL COMPLAINED when it wasnt put up. There is no communication for this job between anyone. Just worth getting an actual job at this point.

this app is a wonderful company to work around with your flexible schedule. However, I think it is not for you if you end up working more hours than the estimated hours (2-3 more hours) and unclaiming repeatedly for some reasons can deactivate your account. Even worse my account was deactivated due to a client complaint. What the? Those stores didn’t frankly communicate with me like letting me know what I did wrong and then I would correct something what I would do. I have no issues with other freelance businesses unlike this. I have a couple of achievements and got promoted in the past, does that make sense? Don’t apply for this app if you feel you may be in my shoe.

I've been on Jyve since Summer 2018 and have done a handful of Jyves. Jyve isn't helpful with notifying anyone of work that comes in, as in it does not notify at all.
The geographic locations of work are limited beyond control of the user, so you don't get a say in where you work.
The company uses a third party communication platform and they're unprofessional. The pay for staff is often delayed and gets lost. I personally can not remember any instance where I was paid on time or I didn't have to chase them down to find my pay.
The management doesn't help staff and communication is almost as bad as with any other app-based business and company.

This is the worst company i have ever wasted my time working for, I don’t suggest you waste your time either. They don’t care about the people working for them, nor do they have the best interests of the people they “hire”. They use 3rd party companies who have no idea what they’re doing, no one gives a straight answer to questions or issues that arise and communication is deplorable. If you’re thinking of doing this app, don’t, you will regret it. I don’t and will never recommend this company to anyone.

Well been working with this company for about 3 months. Problem is there is not enough work for all the people they hire it’s nearly impossible for me to get more than one job a day in my area about a 90 mile radius even when I was willing to drive out of town my jobs were canceled the day prior for no apparent reason seems like they have favorites and delays on the job picking. I was told more work was to come to my area so far there hasn’t been one extra job added yet they keep training people ? Doesnt make sense.

Jyve seems like an awesome idea. Stores need merchandisers, and people are willing to do it. But I never received a sign-up email I was supposed to receive. And whenever I try to call their help team, for some reason I get a busy signal? I’ve also reached out in email to which I’ve gotten no response. Jyve has been sitting on my phone for months because I can’t get through the initial setup.

Jyve has alot of potential. I’m not sure which areas are busy but in all of California, there is usually around 5-7 available. Which means Jives contract is very small. I’m sure in couple of months it will pick up, at least for California.

Jyve is way better than similar apps that I’m familiar with.

The jobs are posted at a specific time of day, so if you snooze you lose. Jobs are competitive.

I think a lot of these negative complaints are dated. I have found the support and communication to be great.

If a job is over what was reported to this app, which has happened, my regional manager has adjusted the rate to account for the issue.

That problem is not with this app, the vendor is very shaky on accuracy that they report to this app.

Con-
The problem that I experience is with the stores that this app is asked to support can have just the worst management.

If Stores and this app vendors can rate Jyvers through a different app, then Jyvers should be able to rate stores.

As a former rideshare driver, I know that Uber initially only allowed riders to rate drivers, then did both ratings.

Bodily rated stores should be banned from
this app, just like bad riders are banned from rideshare.

These stores need to be held accountable for their hostility towards gig workers. We are there as a service to the store, not to be abused by the store.

Letting the vendors only deal with it is bad business.

Unless this app and their vendors is aiming to be added to the current list of stores and apps that are currently being boycotted.

We need to work on the new features like gallery photos meaning that if I take pictures on the pallet before opening Jyve would be awesome why cuz sometimes we Jyver are in a rush and we just take pictures and work hard. So having this feature would be awesome.

Second the arrived delivery feature doesn’t work for all Jyves barely 2 jyves a week I get a notification. We need to work on getting all jyves to work on that so jyvers can know when it has arrived so they can get to the store and start working on the this app.

Also if we loose or damage our landyard it would be awesome to request it through Jyve instead of calling.

I have many more ideas which ill be sharing soon but this are my concern in the meantime thank you.

I have been working at this app (Less than a year)
Pros
Get to travel to different stores
Get to help several customers
Get to meet new employees and form a friendly relationship with them
Cons
Payrate depends on how quickly you can work
Product rotation is necessary, but could slow things way down
Advice to Management
Create a site where employees can see a breakdown of each job worked and associated bonus, in order to better tie out paycheck.

Super easy to use. Support is amazing can pretty much set your own schedule and work as little or often as you want. Can’t rave about Jyve and platform enough

Working for this app has been very rewarding in my area. I get a chance to visit new places and the staff are always so friendly! There management is very professional. It can be a lot of work, however, you get to set your own pace and there are opportunities to earn bonuses!

I’ll review Jyve first. It has come a long way from how it used to be and I see them developing more and more as the months pass. Jyve works fast, I haven’t had any issues.

As for the company, as a single mom of 3, I love that you can pick where you work and when. It gives me the flexibility to still be with my children and make money. This company is going places and I intend to be there along for the ride and watch them expand.

I’ve been jyving for probably about 6 months now and I love doing it. I left full time bartending after the pandemic to find another route/opportunity and ended up finding this bike assembly opportunity through this app and love it. I literally go to the same store by my house, I build my own schedule, show up and leave when I want. I have the opportunity to make up to 300$ every shift, on occasion bikes are limited but I work full time and have been for a while now and highly recommend it. Very good pay scale. I can’t believe I’m making 20-30$/hr every shift.

I’ve been doing this app since the beginning of the year and it has been my gateway into the growing gig worker economy!!! I love that I can pick jobs that work around my family’s needs. I easily make 700+ every week! The community is great and so helpful! The training is amazing bc a lot of gig jobs don’t do hands on training like you are required to do before you can start claiming jobs. I can work solo or I can pair up with some of my favorite Jyvers and rock out the jobs. Can’t wait to see where this company is going to go and where it is going to take me. Best ad to ever come across my Facebook feed. Been a real game changer. I endorse this app 110%!!!

This is a great app for people who are looking for a second job or a easy way to earn some extra bucks. It’s a way for company’s to get more employees to merchandise their product without all the hassle. The employees who are called Jyvers get to pick what “this app” they want so you can easily schedule it around your day and you get paid every week.
