Disappointed Porsche Diehard. Porsche needs to get this fixed ASAP

I currently own 9 Porsches including a Taycan Turbo. I also have owned over 25 Porsches over the years. Love the Taycan car but hate the car PCM software and the supporting applications like this one. Too many bugs. This is the first time where Porsche releases a product that is unfinished and needs major refinement. If porsche is serious about hybrid and electrical technology, they need to refine this application and the car PCM. As an example I have to wait for 20 minutes or longer, waiting for the e-stations to display on the map in this app, so I could select the charging station so I could charge my car, forcing me often to just pay for the charging with credit card, after getting tired of fiddling with this app to display the charging station. They appear then disappear as quickly as they appear, rendering the porsche advertised 3 yr free charging useless since you can’t easily access it through this app. This is not the Porsche I know and have known for so many years and grew to love. Perhaps I should have waited a bit before buying a Taycan. I hope they could fix the bugs in this app, and hopefully fix the car pcm buggy interface and soon before we loose faith in this new product.

I bought a 2020 Cayenne hybrid and I am a 26 Air Force engineer and I have never had this many problems for all the weapons systems ... apps .. software systems etc that I have ever worked with. I am even half German and it’s a total embarrassment that Porsche thinks they can get away with such garbage... connect app is anything but connect.. they are making changes to cars too fast and if they can’t get a simple app to work I am worried about what I bought which is 100 times more complicated than this app.. Porsche should be ashamed of themselves for even thinking about charging folks for this a year after you purchased your car...
I have never been so disappointed in my life...
I don’t need to repeat what others have already said...
Truly a sad day for the company !!!!!

Laughable how bad this app is

I’ve owned several Porsches over the years. I’ll start by saying the Taycan is one of the most enjoyable to drive, which is why there is all the praise in the media. The issue is nobody is giving a fair review of owning one.

The PCM and Porsche Connect App are without a doubt the worst designed and buggy interfaces I’ve ever worked with. When they work, which is rarely. The car and the app struggle to communicate. The features that are offered through the app don’t actually work because a majority of the time the app doesn’t communicate with the car effectively. Not mention sometimes when you pull up the app it randomly sets the car alarm off. One of my favorites, it’s constantly sending me texts through the day telling me the windows are open and door is unlocked. Which after several runs to the car only to find out the warnings are incorrect.

Not only is this app useless, it can be dangerous, and it’s appalling that Porsche charges you extra for this.

Stay away from this option. I agree with other reviewers that I wish I had waiting for Porsche to get this Taycan working properly before I bought one.

Porsche should market this experience as “The ultimate drivers car…….if and when it decides to work”
