I purchased SaferVPN so I could use other apps overseas. The trial worked just fine but when I tried purchasing, my payment was refunded for some reason. Tried purchasing again twice in which one payment never went through and the other did with my phone. Somehow, with a valid invoice, my app kept saying my trial was expired and I needed to pay yet again. Customer service never responded to my questions and attempts at contact. Then, when trying to be refunded for my “service,” I had to speak to at least 6 people to finally get my subscription canceled and be told to contact apple for a refund. They did finally try to offer solutions at this point, however, it’s a little too late since I’m back from vacation and I no longer have a need for the service. Their customer service might actually be helpful and knowledgeable, but as far as actually listening to what their customer is asking for, they are terrible.

I am currently stationed in Germany for my tour in Germany for several years I been looking for the best vpn some that cost money or say they are the best connection for watching movies and tv shoes not available here in Germany. I would recommend this VPN to anyone looking for a easy connection to watch movies or my fellow military members to access your favorite shows. Overall the best and would love for everyone to know about this amazing app.

Used SaferVPN for a few months and every time I had a problem where my money would be deducted and yet the account blocked. I then had to initiate a dialog with their support to get the issue resolved and most of the time was asked to reinstall SaferVPN . I finally gave up and unsubscribed. But no, the issue was still not over. This time again I was charged although their website correctly mentioned my account’s status to be expired. Filing yet another complaint, they simply asked me to request the refund from Apple. I am still waiting on a resolution. Overall, extremely poor billing integration that they are unable to resolve despite repeated issues.

Last reviewer nailed that review. Please don’t replace his for mine but basically (Incase such a travesty occurs regarless) the customer service is perfecto not to mention the vpn doing the better kind of protecting I’ve come to expect to be from safer, thee gold standard. Does that mean there isn’t other options up to the tasks and already doing them? You know... nobody really knows...

SaferVPN works as it should. However, this company seems to have problems with its payment system, as other reviewers have mentioned. In essence it kept on refusing my PayPal payments (which works fine for the myriad other auto payments I use it for), so that I kept on getting the extremely annoying “your trial has ended” notice. I talked to customer service several times, who fixed it temporarily and assured me the issue should not occur again, but yet it does. With so many other VPN services to choose from, there’s no reason to choose one with this kind of annoyance.

So 4 hours ago I paid and downloaded SaferVPN for my MacBook- gave it a try and thought ‘yay’. Then I received a message that my trial period is over? By chance I checked my email and there was one from this app asking me to send photos of my credit card for verification? Did that - admittedly I misread the rather odd directions and did it twice. - 4 hours later nothing. Did online chat, was told I would receive an email shortly - still nothing. The payment is already showing as a debit on my bank account and yet I have no access to the service! This is not off to a good start.

I am not sure how they are “safe”. They charged me twice through my Apple account and then sent me an email bill. When I pointed out that they not only charged me twice for one month, and they were still asking for more, they apologized and said they extended my membership. I have tried to log in multiple times only to be blocked. I contacted the help desk several times only to be told all should be fine. When I demanded a refund for the month I already paid for no service, I heard zero. They will take your money and that’s it, completely untrustworthy. Beware!!!

When it works, this app does everything it claims, and does it well. It has great features to simplify and automate using a VPN regularly.

But it rarely works. Most of the time when I connect, Internet access (web, email, apps) just ceases, not tuning out, and not loading, like I have the slowest connection since using a 1200 baud modem.

And it’s not just a problem with iOS; it’s exactly the same problem on macOS, too.

Support is nearly non-existent. I have tried repeatedly to contact them. Sometimes they respond; sometimes they don’t. When they have responded, they have eventually ghosted on me part-way through troubleshooting. I can only suppose that this is a known issue that they can’t fix and don’t want to admit to having.

I've used many VPN apps and this is the best one. Other VPN apps claim to automatically connect to the server but never do. SaferVPN stays connected to both WiFi and you're phones regular cellular data. Never leaves you exposed to prying eyes. Highly recommended. Great value only 9.99 a month. I love it!

This is the worst service. So unreliable and slow. Customer service is better than the actual service. They won’t give you a refund for their crappy service. Save yourself the hassle, go with another service.

Safer VPN has excellent customer service if your needing assistance they are fast to respond and are very knowledgeable. VPN protection is a must in today’s world. As our smart phones are essentially mini computers.
The price is very affordable, and allows for additional devices to use the VPN as well. I would definitely recommend Safer VPN!

Initially had difficulty using SaferVPN (problem on my end) but customer service chat helped me out and app worked great for what I needed it for. Pricing was different in different places I looked but will consider buying after my trial is over.

Easy to setup and use. Always connected, no interruptions. Getting 3 more days free for writing a review is definitely a plus.
The only issue I had was that it boots you every 3 hours.
Still the best out of all the ones I've tried.

I have tried the trial period and was very satisfied. I am about paying my subscription to the paid service.

It's amazing speed and quality but I keep running into the bug of when trying to connect, it says "Can't connect to server", even after I've pressed the VPN and it does connect, but still makes me re-login. Besides that little annoyance, it's a great service.

Used SaferVPN for a year and it worked well most of the time. Upon payment renewal - I renewed through SaferVPN Store and SaferVPN was not updated, emailed customer sercice a few tiles without a response for at least two weeks.

The free trial worked well as far as I know. I am not computer or tech savvy. I am did not do any test or research to verify that SaferVPN worked. I took them at face value and assume it did. So with that said SaferVPN worked just like they said.

Easy to set up, just click to get connected through a range of different countries. Watch TV around the world, access blocked websites when you travel, etc.

All is good, but the auto protect feature sometimes turns on when I am home. I don’t want to be on VPN when I am home, so having the option to exclude SSIDs from auto-protect will help add some sanity to the process for users.

So far, I have only used the free trial! I’ve used the free trial from many different apps, and paid for premium with one. As of now, this is the only one that has worked on everything I needed it to work on!
