App never loads information, crashes, constant problems.

I’ve been “using,” or attempting to use VoiceShare with the belly buds for the last month or two. I’ve had nothing but constant issues with it. The support team, once they finally resolved one of my issues were pretty great. It did take them about 3 weeks. Now I can’t get VoiceShare to even log in. Yes, I have the correct information. It doesn’t show me an error or anything of the sort, just plain will not log in. The technology for VoiceShare simply is not there. I’d delete the entire app and download it again, but then I’d have to spend the better part of a week getting the songs I purchased to download again, because they won’t play unless you download them. Even after you download them, they do not get added into your iTunes library.

Basically great concept, terrible technology/application.

App crashes and won’t let me log in

App was working fine a few days ago. Tried to use it today and it won’t let me log in. I enter my email and password, and it literally does nothing. It’s like it doesn’t even register that I’m attempting to log in at all. It appear that this has been an ongoing problem for MANY people for several months, despite numerous updates. Why isn’t this fixed yet? As much as you pay for belly buds, and as finite amount of time that you can actually use them during a pregnancy, you’d expect them to work...every time. People invest their money, and it seems for no good reason, since ongoing problems still aren’t resolved.

What’s the point...

What is the point of having VoiceShare if the Belly Bud headphones don’t even have the right connector to use with an iPhone? I was truly disappointed when I got the headphones and saw that they are only for use with a traditional headphone jack, not the lightning connector on my iPhone. I have been able to use them to play music through my laptop, but VoiceShare is only for mobile devices and thus is completely useless with the Belly Buds. Either update your product, and/or make a version of VoiceShare that works on computers in addition to mobile devices.

Great for when you’re away

I purchased a SoundBub as a gift for my partner and 1yr old. I travel a lot for work so I recorded a bedtime story in this app for my partner to playback to our daughter when I am away. There’s also white noise albums that soothes her right to sleep and she loves hearing my voice.

Sharing

I love how my all our family can send our baby messages. I have a lot of family out of state and with COVID they haven’t been able to travel. This makes it still feel like they are apart of this experience which I love.

Amazing!

Who ever came up with this idea is a genius! I love that I can share VoiceShare with family and friends who I may not see everyday and they can share stories or just random conversations with the baby. Easy to use, easy to access, and just overall great! Highly recommend for moms

Bad app development

I agree with all the other 1 and 2 star reviews.. great idea, but bad development. VoiceShare constantly crashes with a “something went wrong error”. If I’m able to open a recording, majority of the time it looks as if it’s playing but there is no sound. Share feature will work in some places, but not all. I thought this would be a great idea with family spread out, but the poor development makes this impossible to use. I’ve contacted support, but very slow process to get a response.

Great idea, poor quality app

The idea of belly buds is great, but I’ve struggled to use them because of VoiceShare. My family lives 4 hours away so I really wanted them to be able to talk to baby through this. My mom sent two recorded stories and only one came through. The green circle showing there was an unread one was there, but the story would never show up. A lot of technical difficulties with VoiceShare which causes frustration.

DO NOT make in app purchase

VoiceShare is a gigantic rip off. DO NOT make an in app purchase. Too glitchy, will not play music or recordings. I paid $8 for a Bach album to play for baby and it won’t play. Husband bought a book to record himself reading and share with me to play for baby it is NOWHERE to be found. Did not sync with my account. It’s nothing short of a scam. This renders the belly buds essentially worthless. Don’t waste your time or money.

Really Bad App

Using VoiceShare because we have a surrogate hours away and VoiceShare doesn’t refresh when content is added or shared. Playlists aren’t shared so we would need for the surrogate to take recordings from our entire family to create a list. VoiceShare is pointless. I guess the business model is more about getting you to buy content versus focusing on users to enable loved ones to come together to start building a relationship with your baby.

Needs more development

VoiceShare needs to be developed more... When recording your own stories there should be no limit on how long the recording should be. As it stands you can only record in 10 minuet increments, which is not enough! Also there should be more of selection of books, nursery rhymes and songs to choose from both free and available for in-app purchases. Adding a library of white noise for infants would also be great improvement.

Breaks while looping sound

I bought the owl as a white noise machine for my baby, because I love that it is chargeable, but after it plays the five minute white noise track, there is always a break before it starts back up again, which is jarring and not conducive to proper sleep. This would be great if that issue were fixed.

Bad app

VoiceShare is horrible. Password is janky. If you try to reset, it just shoots you back to VoiceShare asking you to sign in. You have to delete VoiceShare to get the webpage to actually come up. Then when you try to reset the password it says unable to accept new password, no explanation nothing.
Then I get some email saying thanks for changing your password! But the ‘new’ password still doesn’t work. It’s 2019, get it together.

Amazing app

I love that I can share my voice with stories and lullabies with my granddaughter. I don’t get to see her everyday, but she will always have a piece of me near her. Thankful for VoiceShare.

By

Glitchy at best

VoiceShare is horrible. IF I can get it to play recorded stories, it will only play them once before I have to close VoiceShare , reopen and hope it works again. Though it usually doesn’t. Tonight I couldn’t even get it to play. Worthless. I am a surrogate and it is very important for this baby to hear as much of her parents as she can. Thought this would be a great way. WRONG. Nothing but a headache and waste of time.

App has been updated

VoiceShare has been updated and is working much better. There is still a ways to go before this is a 5-star app, but at least they’re making progress. The customer service is amazing if you have any problems!

Good intentions, poor execution and quality

Terrible UX/UI. Impossible to navigate from signup to inviting others and recording. Must be a young company, in dire need of additional funding to execute this service and improve their coding and system architecture. Wish them the best of luck and hope they can turn it around because it’s a great concept especially during COVID quarantine.

Unable to Sync iTunes

Bought Belly Buds because VoiceShare sounded perfect. It has yet to sync any purchased music from iTunes onto VoiceShare itself. At this point, customer support has only given me the same information as the Q+A page. Major let down!

Garbage!

I installed VoiceShare last week and was able to make and share recordings. Today I open VoiceShare for my grandparents to record their voices and nothing we record will save. The save screen just sits there and if I try to go back it deletes the recording. Absolutely nothing will save - talk, songs, read NOTHING. Fix this!

Do not attempt to try this, waste of time.

I got the product today and installed VoiceShare , didn’t receive the registration email, can’t invite people! I had heard good reviews about it but don’t bother. The technology is horrible. They can’t even get one email to be sent.

DO NOT BUY THIS. The app is trash-crashes 9 times out of 10; no response from the help desk, and you can’t record any original sound for more than 10 mins. Absolutely criminal that this company is making money off of this.
