Love the app but it needs improvements

Updated Rating changed to 1 because you in fact can not import data into FlockPlenty. Also FlockPlenty does not separate by year. Everything is added/kept together.
I love using FlockPlenty for my small flock but now that I am expanding my flock and separating them by breed I have found that FlockPlenty is no longer meeting my needs. I have six different flicks and now way to track each individual flocks information. Updated I would recommend is to make it so we can track each flock and their expenses, eggs, feed, expenses, and sales separately. Each one of my flocks has different information and I can not separate them here which means all my info is inaccurate.
Completely Useless

Useless unless you want to buy extras. Like another review, kicks you off FlockPlenty if you try uploading a pic after entering your chickens bio. Guess they don't care cause it still hasn't been fixed.
Needs upgrading

I love FlockPlenty! But it won’t work with my current IOS. I get a message that the developer needs to update it to work with current IOS version. I’ve sent them a message, but no response. So far I can’t find another egg/chicken keeping app as good as this one.
Unimpressed

Unimpressed with FlockPlenty. I thought it was so cool that I could upload pictures and ages of my birds. However, it boots me out of FlockPlenty everything I try to upload a picture..
I’m experimenting with a couple of different apps, and I like this so far. This is more of a suggestion list than a review. I only have 20-30 chickens at any one time, and I generally give away eggs when we’re overwhelmed. Here, it’s more about the chickens than anything else. I would like a health tracker with a date feature, so that I could log that a hen is limping or sneezing or whatever, along with whatever steps I took to treat it. (Could pretty much default to Vetrx.) There should be an RIP date and Cause that is set up like your breed selector. Predator (dog, hawk, etc), Illness, Age. Although I am REALLY angry when a hawk gets one of my girls, it seems important to remind people that our biggest loss came from the neighbor’s dogs. It would be awesome to be able to have a ‘Copy Chicken’ option, so that when I get a bunch of chicks I can set up one and then copy it and change the name, photo or breed instead of setting up each one from scratch. It would also be great to have a field to add where I got them - local or whatever mail order place I used. Just some ideas to someone who has already created a nice, friendly app.
Some good data collection

Over all FlockPlenty works fine for eggs collected, tracking feed, etc.
You can register the flock within FlockPlenty , but there is no provision for entering the #'s of birds and tracking flock efficiency...huge over site, that's just fundamental.
One thing missing you

So I just downloaded FlockPlenty and it seems ok, but I have one issue with it. As I was filling in the information for my hens I noticed that there is no option to fill in how many eggs each of my chickens had laid. Now some people might like that the egg tracking is general and not per bird, but I would personally like to be able to track each of my hens and compact them. This doesn’t have to be a tool everyone has to use, but I would appreciate it if the option of tracking how many eggs each chicken lays. But other that that FlockPlenty seems pretty thorough.
Great app but Need more features

I love FlockPlenty , it’s easy to use. However I’d really like to see some other available graph styles and perhaps a way to include the weather conditions for each day without using the notes. Can you please add accounting features where I can track customer by name etc? I think it would be great if you could also track incubation periods as well. I didn’t mind paying for FlockPlenty but if you could continue to add and improve it you’d be far ahead of any other app out there. I’d much rather use apps like yours than excel and computer based spread sheets. Thank you for an overall good app.
Worked well for 4 years, then crashed.

Great app and we’ve been tracking our egg production for years. But FlockPlenty suddenly stopped working and won’t open. If I de-install it and re-install (only option left) I lose four years of egg numbers.
Developer’s website is dead, so can’t reach out. Going to just sit it out and hope the guy writes a fix for whatever bug is crashing it.
I can be reached here if crash data is needed: 505.795.0608.
Easy to use a s clean look, just not not very powerful

Of all the apps I looked I prefer this one for tracking egg production since it makes it so I don’t have to track per bird. Ease of uses, clean and clear interface. It is nice that it is free for simple egg tracking and the fee for accounting is reasonable. Would be nice if there was a hatch calculator and a way to track a hen’s number of clutches and maybe link the babies to her. Would also like to have a feature to track sale of birds and mark those inactive. And butcher date and weight and mark those birds inactive. This would make useful for Turkey’s and pea fowl and meat chickens. These features would be worth an extra fee as not all raisers care about these stats.
Great for tracking daily egg counts

Love using FlockPlenty. Great way to track ages/ info of individual chickens, sales of eggs and see trends in egg production. Would love to see some new features added.
My first flock! FlockPlenty does a great job of keeping track of what a backyard rancher needs. With only 4 girls don't need the accounting section -yet, but who knows the flock may grow!
How about cross device tracking. It loaded onto both my iPhone & iPad but the data doesn’t.
Great app!

I love the diary portion of FlockPlenty ! You can add photos and notes from day one of bringing babies home, and watch them grow up. I also purchased the accounting portion, but haven't used it much. It will be very helpful later when I am getting eggs, and I think it is well worth the extra few bucks. I'm very happy with FlockPlenty .
A Must Have

I do not have that many chickens only 39. FlockPlenty helps me keep track of how many eggs I get and I can put neat facts about a certain chicken under the flock feature I really love FlockPlenty. I would love to be able to have a feature where we can have more than one flock.
Exactly what I've been looking for!

FlockPlenty is fantastic for a hobby farm chicken keeper. I have 23 birds and love how simple FlockPlenty is. I can track eggs sold and to who for how much, I can track purchases for my flock, keep notes, record feed amounts and keep a picture of each bird with their hatch date, breed and name. I am so in love with FlockPlenty! Thank you this app creator. I paid for the in-app purchase and feel like it was totally worth it! I highly recommend.
Love it as it as, some suggestions

FlockPlenty is great for someone with a small flock of 7 like me. I love being able to see egg trends over the week or month. I would really like a feature that allows you to tell what chicken laid an egg that day and be able to see graphs of the individual chicken's production. The diary portion is great because I am able to see that I began to set out oyster shell on one day and one hen began laying a couple days later. Overall, fantastic app.
Intuitive. If you buy add on you can track expenses etc. Great for a backyard flock. It does everything it says it does. Extra improvements in future would be ability to add progress photos on your flock...so maybe a pic when a chick, a juvenile, adult etc to help track and ID developing birds. Adding a photo to a note or expense would be nice too. It would be great to have more than one flock. We have separate flocks to track. Maybe being able to separately track the expenses/profits within each flock? A brooding tracker or incubation tracker would be great too to track days, hatch rate, survival rate, etc. Thanks!
New features?

Love using FlockPlenty . A couple of things would make FlockPlenty more functional for me. I’ll leave them here in case the developer decides they are feasible upgrades.
1. A date range option for the summary page. Right now it’s a summary for total data stored in FlockPlenty . I want to see summary for say, one month at a time.
2. A customer data section would be awesome. I would like to store customer names, addresses, phone number, email, and trend data for what customers are buying and when. This helps me with logistics and forecasting. Being able to select the customer you are selling to in the sales tab and how many dozen eggs they are buying would help.
3. Inventory feature. I would love to keep track of inventory. FlockPlenty collects number of eggs collected. I’d like to see inventory by dozen and for FlockPlenty to auto calculate inventory increase and decrease with collecting and selling eggs.
4. Would like to see number of eggs sold option. Would be nice to choose by 1/2, dozen, 18 pack, 24 pack.
5. A decimal point for cents in the expenses section would help keep detail oriented records.
Tracks just about everything

I love how it tracks feed and eggs. I can track my expenses and income. I love how a pic can go next to your bird description. I just wish I could rearrange the chickens in order. Takes me a minute to find each chicken and all of my chickens are numbered.
