I left IPCameraLite open on my old iPhone for a couple of hours. Then when I tried to connect to it from my current iPhone, it wouldn’t. I physically went to the server iPhone and turned off and on the server, still nothing. Force restarted IPCameraLite , still nothing. I had to disconnect from WiFi and reconnect to get it working again, and even then, it just connected to a black screen the first time. I had to switch the camera to get it showing something.
Great idea, great settings, horrible execution. Extremely unreliable. I wanted to pay for this but the paid version is the same, just without the extremely annoying and infuriating ads that made me hate the developer for putting them there.
At first, I didn’t know the password when I visit the IP address website because there’s no prompt of it except in App Store. I think it might be some password I set. So I tried one password I set before which same as some other applications. But these weeks I received messages the applications I set the same password has abnormal login behaviors . So I think it would be that time I use my password here and the developer stole it. But unfortunately I don’t have evidence. If it’s innocent, I will express my regret. But if not, then please stop this behavior, I will change all my own passwords. (By the way, one star is for the ambiguous statement of password not for this movement)
IPCameraLite refuses to connect to my ONVIF camera despite having repeatedly tried to connect it. The IP address is correct, the port is correct, the login info is correct, but I constantly receive an error. When trying to set it up as just a general "IP Camera" it refuses to even attempt to connect; after filling in the setup form and hitting okay it just reopens the setup form and clears any info I entered. Attempted to hook it up to 5 different IP cameras, 3 of which support ONVIF, all of them failed in IPCameraLite, but function perfectly fine in other apps. Useless by all respects.
Not intuitive, server closes if app switched. Doesn’t really stream media using stated protocols.
App is unable to find or connect to my Pelco IP cameras.
My computer says it can’t connect because I don’t have a username and password, but IPCameraLite doesn’t give me a username and password to use, so I guess I won’t be using it.
IPCameraLite works with Chrome web browser on a Windows laptop, but not in Safari browser on an iPhone 5s or 6SE.

I’ve tried nearly every single free app on the market for doing this since and none have worked as good as this one. Every single other app either has low quality streams (often limited to 480p 15fps) whereas with IPCameraLite I’m streaming to my server @4k 30fps (device limited. Haven’t tested newer phones capable of 60fps) and using other freeware like ispy (I’m using ivideon because there’s an iOS app) I’m recording and saving the streams onto my network drives. I now have an entire motion detecting cctv system that was assembled 100% from old tech lying around costing me exactly $0.00 :) I don’t ever write app reviews but IPCameraLite warranted a review from me I really hope it sticks around and stays at least this good.
Developers if you are reading this would it be possible on newer devices to use both rear cameras simultaneously? Thought it would be pretty neat to have both a wide view and a zoomed view of a specific part of said area. Another note is would it be possible to use the bottom microphone near the lightning port rather than the microphone next to the camera? That microphone offers much richer audio and can clearly pick up both quieter sounds and not clip as louder sounds
