Consistently not connecting - 2 hours being transferred from “waiting room” to “waiting room” as “the next to be seen”, only to have the app, or program (tried app, as the web application wasn’t working either) stall at “you are next to be seen” within 15-20 minutes - then nothing. It seems their claim that you see a provider “in minutes”, is loosely defined. It’s a wonderful service they (MedStar) are providing, but e-visit app and online has been executed poorly. I only made it through by finally calling the customer service number.

This is sincerely a great idea, but the app is flawed. I saw a doctor and they stated they were going to call in two prescriptions for me; however I only received one. Because the doctor never completed and sent me a visit summary I can’t send her a message to ask about it. There is also no link for customer support even though the bottom of the FAQs state to contact customer support for other issues. Now I don’t have medicine, I can’t reach the provider, and I haven’t been able to contact customer support. It’s an excellent idea as I am way to sick to get to a doctors office, but there isn’t a way to correct errors.

I am grateful for this service because I was not in the position to pay the amount of money urgent care or ER centers charge for out of pocket care. I don’t have insurance and my symptoms were getting worse. For help with common illnesses that are non life threatening and are clear to see, I think this service is perfect and cost effective for people such as myself who want help but can’t afford high priced centers. And the process is easy and smooth. Thank you MED STAR!
